Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 129, Revelation of the Lake Fairy_3

There are many buildings by the lake, and they seem to be remnants of ruins.

"This is my Divine Kingdom, my Champion." The Lake Fairy held the Holy Grail, approaching from behind Laine, with her green eyes full of his image. The multicolored iris flower gifted by the Genetic Primarch was pinned to her waist. She revealed her stunning beauty and captivating smile to Laine, gesturing for him to follow: "You are the first guest in centuries, the last guest was Arthur."

"I am truly honored." Laine followed the Lake Fairy, as the two began to stroll by the lake.

"Your performance was beyond my expectations, Laine. I have somewhat guessed what kind of being you are." The Lake Fairy smiled at Laine: "A traveler from beyond this world, you must be a descendant of some Supreme Being, right?"

"Yes, my Lady." Laine nodded, as the relationship between him and the Lake Fairy had reached this point, there was no need to hide.

Although the Emperor never explicitly stated it, Laine knew that his father supported his choice of the Lake Fairy. The Goddess before him had righteous views and was an enemy of Chaos, so the Emperor was more assured that his son would not be misled.

The Lake Fairy was very pleased with Laine's honesty. She smiled: "You always manage to surprise me, your performance in the epic confrontation on the Kolesen Plain was outstanding, a model of Knightly Path."

"Thank you, my Lady." Laine followed the Lake Fairy, as the two moved along the leaf-covered Fairy Lake for about two minutes before Laine spoke: "The environment here seems like the scenery of Fairy Lake, yet why does it feel so desolate?"

"The scenery here is exactly as it was two thousand years ago at Fairy Lake." The Lake Fairy nodded: "When the Elves had not yet withdrawn from the Old World, the scenery of Fairy Lake was like this. As for the scenery, tides rise and fall in both Subspace and the Prime Material Plane, and different times feature different landscapes."

"It's truly beautiful." Laine praised.

"Laine, my Champion, come, over here." The Lake Fairy beckoned Laine to join her in entering a building made of pure white marble.

Opening the wooden door, Laine noticed that the interior of the building resembled a simple Elf residence, filled with various exquisite wooden furniture, yet it lacked any sign of life, as if no one had ever lived here.

Passing through a corridor adorned with grape vines, Laine and the Lake Fairy arrived in the courtyard, where the Lake Fairy sat in the main seat, then gestured for Laine to sit beside her. A massive painting hung atop the balcony, unfolding before them.

In this painting, an Elf wearing a high-winged pointed helmet was battling four terrifying Demons.

The first Demon was blood-red all over, with enormous horns, wielding iron chains and a giant axe, appearing enraged and mad.

The second Demon had an eagle's head, claws, and wings, wielding a Magic Staff with eyes, preparing to cast a spell.

The third Demon was bloated and gigantic, its body seeping everywhere with intestines and bodily fluids spilling out. It opened its gaping maw to reveal a thick tongue covered in bumps.

The fourth Demon was slender and covered with strange purple patterns, possessing four arms. The upper two held dual swords, and the lower two were crab claws, exuding an odd harmony in its posture and appearance.

"It's time, Laine, my Champion. I believe it's time to enlighten you about a segment of history... and the truth of Subspace." The Lake Fairy's expression became serious.

"I am willing to listen, my Lady." Laine nodded.

"Then let's begin."
