Brittania formally invites Laine to join the Knight Kingdom and become a Lord Nobility.

"Thank you..." Laine's hand trembled slightly as he accepted the invitation. This officially meant he would rise from a lower noble to a great noble. Nine years of campaign life, countless reputations accumulated, and finally, he received this result. His emotions couldn't help but fluctuate, leaving a deep impression on him.

In this world, the steps to ascend are so difficult, and the ladder to promotion is so narrow. He certainly knew that with the Moment of Destruction approaching, he must seize the time, but some things cannot be rushed. Things must be taken one step at a time; becoming a Lord Nobility is just the first step.

Laine could feel the envious and admiring eyes of the Ranger Knights from Brittania. They envied him for receiving the favor of the Lake Fairy and admired him for becoming a Holy Grail Knight at such a young age and having his own territory.

To not be envied would mean failure, and Laine merely responded with a faint smile.

Sure enough, even before the evening banquet began, many knights had already approached Laine to challenge him proactively.

"Hello Mr. Laine, I'm Anatole of Borelion! I'd like to experience Mr. Laine's riding skills!"

Countless Ranger Knights were desperately entangling Laine, leaving him quite vexed.

Every noble boy in Brittania begins his knightly path while still in his mother's arms. Their lineage automatically leads them down this path, but the lineage is merely the key to unlock it. Boys must further prove their loyalty, courage, and virtue. There are various ways on this journey to earn fame and status, but young knights are obsessed with the combat path to affirm their identity as knights. Once they come of age, they are immediately knighted as Ranger Knights.

According to Laine, these Ranger Knights are still in their adolescent phase, risking everything, determined and spirited. To prove themselves to the Lake Fairy, these young knights, full of youthful exuberance, dream of showcasing their skills in battles to earn long-desired fame and glory.

Laine was very peeved since he didn't want to waste time on these knights. The strongest of these Ranger Knights are only at the Elite Middle Tier, with some young lads merely at the ordinary tier. Watching them struggle with the knight plate armor and wielding sword and shield, Laine thought, you better ensure you can freely use your weapons first.

Calmly and unresponsive, for a Holy Grail Knight should be aloof and inhumane, his behavior instead inflamed the enthusiasm among the Ranger Knights. They surrounded Laine, chattering non-stop, hoping to challenge him, defeat him, and claim his honor and reputation.

Some even shouted that Laine conceded defeat by refusing to duel.

Laine continued to ignore them altogether; it would be troublesome if he acknowledged them. This group was clearly here to ride the wave of his fame.

Just as Laine intended to slip away from the crowd, two individuals blocked his path.

They appeared to be siblings because they looked very alike, both with golden hair and sea-blue eyes. The man was tall and handsome, similar in height to Laine, although his face was marked by a profound cold, an almost unwavering chill.

The woman, however, possessed an almost perfectly delicate countenance, with long golden hair slightly curled at the ends, held by a black hairband. Her custom-made Secret Silver Knight Plate Armor was markedly different from her brother's appearance. This female knight exuded a gentle demeanor like water, making it hard to imagine such stark differences could exist between siblings.

However, they bore the same shield emblem: in the blue and white shield pattern, a pure white pegasus spread its wings in flight. This was the "Pure White Pegasus" shield emblem of the Antre Family of the Duke of Winford, one of the three most noble families in the Knight Kingdom.

Seeing these two people, Laine stopped in his tracks.

"You have indeed come, Yuri."

"And, welcome to you, Surya."
