Chapter 369: Battle of Ozreigh part-1
*Ding! You completed the quest, Meet the city lord. You receive 10000 EXP.
"Hello, I'm Wendell Harpis. Welcome to Ozreigh city, Lord Time Traveler." As soon as Wil entered the hall, the city lord stood up on his feet and greeted him with a smile. "Please take a seat."
"Nice to meet you," Wil shook his hands and took his seat.
The officials glanced at him curiously. Naturally, his Angelic wings attracted their attention.
Judging by his level is around the same as the city lord, everyone including Wendell thought he was of high noble-born within the Eucliffe clan.
As the white dragon symbolizes purity, holiness, knowledge, and most important neutrality, everyone was confused as they felt nothing but fear when they look at him.
It was unlike anything they have heard about the white dragons before.
In their eyes, he appeared like a predator instead of being a peaceful passerby.
As it is the first time they were seeing a white dragon, the officials wondered whether the books are wrong.
On the other hand, Wendell didn't experience anything that the officials around him are experiencing. Maybe, it's due to the fact that he was of the same level.
"Lord Time Traveler, please tell us the reason for your visit to this city." Wendell was aware of his presence from the soldiers. After that, the war has begun.
Since Eucliffe clan elders were also known for their prophecies, he wondered whether this person before him was on the official business of the clan.
Wendell doesn't know that Wil was the one who was most confused in the room.
He expected there would be a continuous quest after meeting him but it isn't. Instead, he was asked why he entered the city.
How should he answer that question?
Should he tell them that he only dropped here while he was on his way towards the Imperial city? Or should he make up some lie now that there's no Dragon King to welcome him and grant him the citizenship.
Thinking of the quests, Wil slowly opened his mouth, "I wish to discuss regarding the war. I wonder which faction Lord Wendell supports."
"War!" The officials looked at each other.
Wendell mumbled, "As expected."
He an inkling that it will be about the war as the appearance of Wil was too coincidental.
Looking at him, the city lord answered, "We don't wish to participate in this conflict."
"Yet, I see the destruction in the city," Wil commented in a casual tone, hinting about the destruction of a couple of the neighborhoods in the outer sector.
The city lord didn't hide the truth, "Princess Kyla wanted us to join her faction. We refused and she retaliated by punishing us. If we won't join her faction, she threatened that she will raze the city to the ground by tomorrow morning. If the Eucliffe clan can help us in avoiding this crisis, we will be in your debt for life."
"Eucliffe clan?" It was the first time Wil heard of this name.
Since there is no prompt of a quest, Wil knew that he doesn't need to go and convince this clan named Eucliffe either. Even if there's a quest, why would he go there when he can solve the situation on his own…
Leaning to the back of the seat, Wil replied in a relaxed tone, "There's no need. I can solve the issue on my own. Princess Kyla, is it? Tell me, Lord Wendell, do you need my help in stopping her or not?"
Seeing how confident Wil is, even after hearing the name of the princess, all of them now strongly believed that he might be a member of the main family.
The only one who appeared to be worried is the city lord who couldn't place his entire trust on Wil as the fate of tens of thousands of his people at risk.
After a brief silence, the city lord slowly requested, "please save the city from Princess Kyla's onslaught."
*Ding! You receive a quest, Defend Ozreigh
The sound of the notification brought a satisfactory smile on Wil. He was successful in forcing a quest towards him.

After reading the details, Wil looked at Wendell and nodded, "It will be done."
Wil's promise made the officials relax a little bit, although it didn't impact much on Wendell's decision on evacuating the civilians.
The only thing that changed for him is that before the evacuation was a primary option but now, it was a plan B in case Wil failed to persuade the princess.
After sending an envoy to the Qale city with his reply, Wendell ordered the officials to move all the civilians to the inner sector.
In case a battle breaks out, he planned to send them away to safety by the underground tunnels.
In the meantime, Wil was taken to the guest room.
*Ding! You entered a no combat zone
*Ding! You entered the city lord's guest room. You receive EXP buff
*Ding! Your level is between 201 and 300. You receive 200 exp per second.
*Ding! You reached the maximum level. Please complete the inheritance quest and increase your maximum limit.
Dismissing the useless notifications, Wil opened the world forums to check the situation of the war.
He clicked on the official post from Summersoft that shows the list of the kingdoms who completed the first phase by defeating their opponents.
North Zalfari Continent: Kingdom of Gailzach kingdom; Kingdom of Isengard; Kingdom of Talion; Kingdom of Sturin.
South Zalfari Continent: Kingdom of Zidor; Kingdom of Iseria; Kingdom of Praiton.
Xynnar Continent: Kingdom of Llyne; Kingdom of Searvale; Kingdom of Baernarta.
Demon Continent: Kingdom of Azarath.
"It looked like the first phase is almost on its end. It's faster than the last time." Wil didn't expect his intervention brought the first phase to finish earlier.
"Only three kingdoms left and the result of the Demon continent's war exactly went the same as last time. I guess I'll have to speed things up here."
Wil decided to finish all the quests within the next three to four days and leave for Llyne before the rest phase starts.
In his past life, these two weeks of rest phase is called the phase of alliances.
As the second phase is the world war that is free to all battle and goes until an Empire is formed, Wil believed that he and his guild members should be ready for it.
He doesn't want to do everything on his own. That can only happen when his fellow subordinates will become stronger.
Such thought made him remember the two-class books. He took them out and looked at both of them. "One contains the legacy of the First Emperor of Llyne and the other contains the legacy of a demigod Michael. Who should I give it to them? Hmm… Hyori? Silver? Storm? Maybe, Rey?"

City of Qale;
Inside the city lord's mansion, Princess Kyla was residing as a guest while her army was resting within the city.
Right now, the city lord of Qale was reading the letter handed by the envoy from Ozreigh.
The princess appeared calm and collected while listening to it completely.
The city lord of Qale looked at the princess, "Your highness, it looks like this fellow is adamant on dying rather than submitting."
She turned her head and looked at the shivering envoy coldly, "Return and tell your master that he will now face the consequences of going against me."
As the envoy hurriedly fled from the place, the city lord voiced his suspicions, "Your highness, I wonder whether Wendell got some backing. Maybe, it's because of Dragon Lord Juan?"
"Juan?" *Pfft* Princess Kyla broke out into laughter in response. "That weakest Dragon Lord would dare to go against me? Let's see if he dares…"
