Chapter 29: Sauron's Crown
Two days later, Dungeon of Hell;
Hell King Sauron
Hp: 12,000,000/12,000,000
Description: Sauron, one of the kings of the realm of Hell. Once a corrupted General of the ancient kingdom of Griffin. After dying in the war with the Dragon Kingdom, he was resurrected as a skeleton soldier in Hell to pay for his sins.
A Giant skeleton with a crown on its head and a staff in his hand roared as it smelled the presence of an intruder.
As the intruder came into its sight, it saw an equally Giant Earth Golem walking towards it with its big steps. Each step made the ground shake a little bit and stopped at 35 meters away from it. And on the top of its shoulder sat an adventurer, who was shining from top to bottom with his gold grade and epic grade equipment.
It was none other than Williard, of course, who did nothing but clearing out the dungeons for the past couple of days to improve his mastery over the skills after failing to acquire the mask of tranquility.
As a result, Williard was able to acquire several gold grade equipment and even five pieces of epic grade equipment of which he stored the remaining two because of the class restriction.
Meanwhile, he maximized Golem skill, and Absolute Freeze while Dragon Fire is still at level-8, and Ice arrow is at level 7. Of course, he wasn't able to improve the bubble skill as he can't drown or swim underwater, yet. That will have to wait for the update.
Sauron looked at the intruders in hate as he sensed his army has been wiped out but still, he didn't attack as they were out of his range, which is 28 meters. This is the core advantage that an adventurer has an advantage over a mob as they can't make the first move until its enemy enters its range, moreover so for Williard as he gets to attack the boss first while staying out of its range.
Looking at the final boss, Williard stood upon the Golem's shoulder and flapped his wings and raised his bow towards the skeleton while commanding the golem, "attack."
The Golem started to take big steps and run towards the Hell king, while the latter raised his staff and it started to glow.
Just then, an Ice arrow struck the staff precisely, interrupting the spell and freezing the staff as well as the entire 40 meters surface for a couple of seconds. Meanwhile, a heavy punch landed on its ribs and a critical hit appeared on its head simultaneously for both attacks and its HP was decreased by 289857 and 175185 respectively taking out a massive chunk of 460K HP in one single shot.
Looking at the damage, Williard smirked, "this is the power of an Elementalist. Just one punch of Golem is enough to kill even a Guardian as long as he's below 300K HP."
Golem (Max level): Summon an earth Golem using elemental magic with a command, "Arise, Golem". It has two modes.
*Attack mode: Attack your enemies with a 400% attack and provide an Attack buff, which increases you and your allies attack by 100%.
*Defense mode: Defend you from your enemies by blocking the enemy attacks. Increases its defense and HP by 400% and provide a defense buff, which increases you and your allies, Max HP and Defense by 100%.
*Costs 20 MP per minute; 60 meters range. Cooldown: 15 minutes.
Note: Mode cannot be changed once summoned.
Golem's attack damage is entirely dependent on Williard's stats. 400% attack literally means it's attack dmg is 4 times that of whatever's current Williard's attack stat. The same is for defense, crt.rate, or crt.dmg, etc... The only exception is HP, which is independent of Williard's HP once it was summoned.
And the buffs from the golem increases only player's basic stats, which excludes the buffs gained from equipment or race or skills or buffs from other players (the one that isn't in the brackets).
As for the final attack damage, the stat buffs (increasing atk, def, hp, etc...) will first convert into flat numbers and then stack on each other before applying to the final stat together, and then, the skill damage will be coming into the effect with its percentage. After that, finally, the skill buffs (crt dmg, overall dmg increase, dmg reduction against enemies, etc...) will be applied to the whole while stacking upon each other before dealing with final damage upon the enemy.
Back to the battle, as Sauron recovered from the frozen state very quickly, once again, he attempted to use the staff to change the environment to the Volcanic region to increase his damage and by damage reduction by 20% and then, summon his undead soldiers to attack this angel and his Giant pet. But, before he even tried to do that, Williard unleased his maximum level "Absolute Freezing" and froze the surroundings.
He once again smirked, "little skeleton, for the next 50 seconds, you are at my mercy. Too bad that you won't be able to go into any of your berserk states. Golem, attack."
With the combination of continuous usage of his fire arrows and fireballs along with the Golem's heavy punches, all of it's 12 million HP drained very quickly as it was in the absolute frozen state, which cannot be escaped unless there's a massive difference of level between the two parties or it gets mutated.
As 50 seconds are up, it dropped a lot of materials, although only a couple of gold grade equipment while most of them are just useless silver, bronze, and Iron grade equipment, a lot of augment-stones, teleportation scrolls, and dungeon scrolls which can be used to enter a dungeon when you finished the daily five attempts.
As he was throwing away all those bronze and Iron grade equipment while storing away the rest of them, Williard saw two items that brought interest to him.
One scroll and a golden crown that looks very similar to a helmet that guardian wore usually. He inspected the crown first.
Sauron's Crown
Level: N/A
Grade: Gold
Attack: 9%
Additional Effect: Command over 2 undead knights, which have 50% of your stats.
"Wow, the summon skill? I have seen a similar one used by Bran... but unlike him, I'm an angel. One I reach level-250, I will receive divinity that will let me become a natural predator to the undead. Buffs on me will become debuffs on them. It will be useless for me. Nah, let's just equip it for now. 250 is far away and I have an extra two loyal slaves for free.
As soon as he tried to equip it, he got a warning notification.
