Wanda Maximoff Multiversal Harem Hunter

Chapter 19: The Antidote And New Resistance Plans

The resistance headquarters was alive with movement, fighters rushing in and out with purpose. Trucks loaded with crates of the antidote rumbled toward the liberated districts of Sokovia, their drivers steely-eyed and determined. The antidote was a beacon of hope for the oppressed people, but the atmosphere in the camp was far from celebratory.

Wanda Maximoff stood near the map table, watching the activity with a calm intensity. Her crimson magic flickered faintly around her fingertips, a constant reminder of the power she wielded. Beside her, Eska Vryn studied the map with a furrowed brow, her sharp blue eyes scanning the lines marking Hydra's remaining strongholds.

"The antidote is being distributed as we speak," Eska said, her tone brisk. "Our teams are moving it into the water supplies and directly to the people. We'll know within a few days how effective it is."

Wanda nodded, her gaze distant. "It will work. Hydra's control is slipping."

Eska hesitated, then leaned closer. "There's something else. Dimitri…he's gone."

Wanda turned sharply, her eyes narrowing. "Gone?"

"No one's seen him since the fight for Novi Grad started," Eska said, her voice tight with frustration. "He left the headquarters with several files—plans for our next assault on the residential district, our supply lines, even our fallback points."

The crimson glow around Wanda's hands flared brighter for a moment before she controlled it. "So, the traitor reveals himself."

Eska's jaw tightened. "You're sure?"

"I'm sure," Wanda said coldly. "He disappears with our most sensitive intel, and Hydra's resistance grows stronger with every step we take? This isn't a coincidence."

Eska slammed her hand against the table, the sound echoing across the room. "Damn it. We trusted him."

Wanda's tone softened, but her resolve remained steel. "Traitors always hide in plain sight. He knew exactly when to strike and what to take. Now we adapt."

Eska's fists clenched, but she nodded. "Then we expect fierce resistance going forward. Hydra will be ready for us."

"They'll try," Wanda said, her gaze shifting to the map. "But we're not stopping. The residential district is next. Hydra's using the children as hostages to keep the parents in line. If we free them, we break Hydra's control."

Eska studied her for a moment, then nodded. "It'll be risky. The children will be heavily guarded."

"Everything is risky," Wanda replied. "But this is necessary. We're not just fighting Hydra's soldiers—we're fighting their propaganda, their fear. If we save those children, we show the people of Sokovia that Hydra can be beaten."

Eska's expression softened slightly, admiration flickering in her eyes. "You seem so sure of yourself. What happens after this war? What's your plan for Sokovia once Hydra is gone?"

Wanda hesitated, the weight of the question settling over her. "I've been thinking about that," she admitted, her voice quieter. "This war isn't just about freeing Sokovia. It's about creating something new—something better."

Eska tilted her head, listening intently. Wanda continued, her words filled with a quiet conviction. "I want Sokovia to be a sanctuary. A place where mutants and superpowered individuals aren't hunted or feared. A place where we're safe. Where we can live freely."

Eska's eyes widened, and for a moment, she said nothing. Then she stepped closer, her voice soft but fierce. "That's…a bold dream, Wanda."

"It's more than a dream," Wanda said, her tone firm. "It's a plan. And I'll do whatever it takes to make it a reality."

The two women stood in silence for a moment, the weight of Wanda's words hanging between them. Then Eska nodded, her expression resolute. "You have my loyalty. Whatever you need, I'll help you make it happen."

Wanda glanced at her, a flicker of surprise crossing her face. "Thank you, Eska. That means more than you know."

Eska's expression softened further. "It's not just me. The people of Sokovia already see you as their hero. They believe in you. And so do I."

Before Wanda could respond, a familiar voice slithered into her thoughts. **"She's right, you know. They see you as a hero. But that's only the beginning."**

Wanda's lips pressed into a thin line as she addressed the symbiote silently. "Not now, Fracture."

**"Why not?"** Fracture purred, its tone both amused and knowing. ***"You're thinking about the future, aren't you? Let me tell you something, Wanda: Sokovia is just the start. Your destiny reaches far beyond this place."**

"I don't need a pep talk from you," Wanda muttered under her breath, her tone sharp enough to catch Eska's attention.

"Everything alright?" Eska asked, frowning.

Wanda waved a hand dismissively. "Fine. Just thinking."

Fracture's voice grew quieter but no less insistent. ***"You don't see it yet, but you will. This world, these people—they're only a piece of the puzzle. You were meant for more. Sokovia isn't your endgame, Wanda. It's your foundation."**

"Enough," Wanda snapped, shaking her head as if to clear her thoughts. She turned her attention back to Eska, her voice steady. "Let's focus on the residential district. We'll need a solid plan to minimize risk to the children."

Eska nodded, though concern lingered in her eyes. "Understood. I'll gather the fighters and start preparations."

Wanda watched her go, her mind racing. Fracture's words lingered, weaving into her thoughts like a shadow. Sokovia was her home, her cause, but was it truly only the beginning? The idea unsettled her, but a small, fiery part of her couldn't dismiss it.

As Eska began rallying the resistance fighters, the energy in the camp shifted. The antidote had brought hope, but the looming battle for the residential district promised to test their resolve once again. Wanda stood alone by the map table, her hands resting on its edges as she stared down at the plans.

The people of Sokovia believed in her. They saw her as their savior, their hero. But Fracture's voice echoed in her mind, a reminder that her journey was far from over.

***"They will love you. They will follow you. But one day, Wanda, they will see you as more than a hero. They will see you as a queen."**

Wanda closed her eyes, drawing a slow breath. For now, her focus was on Sokovia. On the children waiting to be freed. But the spark of something greater flickered in her heart, and she knew that someday, she would have to face the full weight of her destiny.
