Chapter 401: No Forgiveness
Fisher Tiger was not only a hero for the Fish-Men, but also to the countless slaves he rescued! However, in the end, while escorting a young slave girl back home, he was ambushed by the Marines because the local residents snitched on him. He was gravely injured in the battle and died after refusing to accept human blood. He knew deep down that he couldn't coexist peacefully with humans, but in his final moments, he made it clear that Princess Otohime's policy was the fundamental solution for Fish-Men and humans to live side by side in the future.
Unfortunately, Arlong didn't heed this message, which led him and Jinbe to go down completely different paths.
"I don't want to hear your nonsense. Right now, all you need to do is answer my question, Arlong!"
Jinbe didn't care about Arlong's rambling and continued sternly, "You must return to Fish-Man Island at once. If you refuse to come back, I'll have no choice but to mobilize Family's military might to capture you. Arlong. You may be pretty skilled, but you are no match for Vongola Family. I've already asked my colleague to bring you back to Fish-Man Island. Do you understand?"
"Before coming back, I want you to apologize to everyone in the villages you've been terrorizing. Only if you earnn their forgiveness will I pardon your crimes! If you can't earn their forgiveness, I will personally deal with you!"
Needless to say that the colleague that Jinbe mentioned was Koushiro as he was the only External Advisor in East Blue. Given Koushiro's strength, he should be able to handle Arlong and his crew effectively.
Let alone Arlong, even Jinbe didn't think he could defeat Koushiro.
The reason he asked Koushiro to handle this situation was mainly to avoid troubling his boss, as his boss was currently on a honeymoon trip. Dealing with Arlong was already a trouble for him, and Jinbe would feel bad if Giotto had to personally bring Arlong and his crew back to Fish-Man Island.
As for Arlong, he was not happy to hear that he had to give up everything and return to Fish-Man Island, but he knew that he had no choice, given Vongola Family's overwhelming power. Moreover, Jinbe had asked his fellow External Advisor to step in. Although Arlong had never met or heard of this person, being an External Advisor in Vongola Family meant that he was no ordinary individual. Judging from the other units in Vongola Family, External Advisors should be pretty strong, too.
The officers like Enel and Crowley were considered relatively weaker, yet their strength still rivalled that of Vice Admirals. Could Arlong really challenge them?
Returning to Fish-Man Island itself was not the issue. The problem was Jinbe also demanded that Arlong apologize to those despicable humans and earn their forgiveness.
Why should he?
"How is it even possible for them to forgive me!"
Suddenly, a scream echoed. From behind a nearby house, a young girl who had been hiding there mustered her courage and stepped forward. Her eyes were filled with hatred as she glared fiercely at Arlong, "No one in Cocoyasi Village will ever forgive you! How many people did you think you have hurt? How many have you killed over these years? If you wish us to forgive you, you must be dreaming!"
The orange-haired girl released all the pent-up frustration and anger at this moment. She clenched her arms, and the arm bearing Arlong Pirates tattoo was now dripping with blood. She despised that tattooo, and she hated Fish-Men even more!
Upon seeing this young girl, Giotto immediately recognized her.
The future navigator of Straw Hat Pirates, and one of the best navigators on the sea, "Cat Burglar" Nami!
Giotto didn't expect Nami's body to be this well-developed already at this point...
Ahem, can't think about that, can't think about that. If he thought about it too much, Aria might notice, and if she did, he wouldn't be able to escape unscathed even though he was the leader of the Family...
Arlong would have loved to tear Nami apart at this moment, but just as he was about to say something, Aria had already approached Nami. She gently stroked the young girl's head.
"Little girl, what's your name?"
The aura from Aria made Nami feel a sense of familiarity, and it helped alleviate some of her pent-up anger. She looked up at Aria in awe and answered, "My name is Nami."
"Good name. Nami, I can feel that you've suffered a lot, but it's all over now. If you want to cry, go ahead. It will make you feel better."
Aria hugged Nami, sensing that the girl was crying, trembling, and full of pain and sorrow. She could feel her pain and sadness and then her voice turned colder as she said, "Jinbe, did you hear that? This little girl will never forgive Arlong no matter what. So, do you know what you should do?"
Upon hearing this, Jinbe naturally understood. He sighed and said, "I understand. When Koushiro-san brings them back to Fish-Man Island, I will personally cleanse their sin!"
That was the rather polite way to put it. In reality, Jinbe had decided to personally deal with Arlong.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"
Upon hearing this, Arlong also realized his fate. If he surrendered, he would face certain death. "Brethrens, today, we must fight our way out, or none of us will survive. Jinbe won't spare us just because we're fellow Fish-Men. So, no matter who our opponents are today, we must tear them apart! Listen..."
He couldn't even finish his sentence before Giotto's Color of Supreme King Haki knocked out Arlong and his crew.
Did those guys seriously forget he was there?
"Buggy, tie up all these Fish-Men and leave them on the shore. Someone will come to deal with them soon. Then, go to Cocoyasi Village and capture the rest of Arlong's men. Don't disturb the villagers, and don't expect any rewards, understood?"
