Void Cultivation

Chapter 155- A Scion (5)

But just as he was about to rush out again, the seal around the area was broken, and five figures could be seen.

Those five figures flew into the area in rainbow colored arcs. Their expressions were strange and filled with complication. As if they didn't know what to say.

"Waiyu... Stop what you're doing." One of the five figures said. From his body, strong spirit energy fluctuations that could match Waiyu spread forth and surrounded the area. Immediately, the sealed area around them broke with a loud bang.

To the body Grey's mind was inhabiting, it was as if the sky suddenly broke apart and clear, transparent glass fell from the sky.

The pieces of the broken talisman that flew out and formed the net-like seal was destroyed even further until they were shredded into even smaller pieces.

Those small pieces then ignited and exploded, turning the sky into a small day-time fireworks.

The five figures were not impeded by this as the small exploding pieces brushed passed them without causing them any harm. But the cold-looking cultivator suffered quite a bit because of his injures state. And with the added explosions, his injuries became even more severe.

The man named Waiyu snorted before raising his hand. Suddenly, Grey's body was picked up as he flew at a rapid speed with the man named Waiyu into the distance.

When the cold-looking cultivator saw this, his expression changed and he gritted his teeth. He wanted to rush after them, but two of the five figures quickly gave chase. The rest casually followed after.

Seeing this, the cold-looking cultivator endured the pain radiating from all sides of his body and gave chase.

But his speed was slower than the man named Waiyu and the two cultivators who chased after him. After all, he was heavily injured.

"Humph! That brat thinks those five will help him? He's wrong, they'll just take the boy for themselves. If it weren't because the Sect Elder is fond of him, he wouldn't be with us as we came to recruit people." The man named Waiyu said in a cold voice.

His expression was filled with anger and slight excitement. If he was the one to bring Grey in, he could imagine that he would receive a lot of rewards.

And the sect wouldn't care about who found him and who brought him in. But as far as Waiyu did not kill the cold-looking cultivator, nothing out of sorts would happen.

Meanwhile, the body in which Grey's mind was inhabiting was stunned. All through this time, he had been confused about what was happening. But he knew one thing, they were fighting over him. But he didn't know what they were fighting about.

Even Grey who was seeing everything clearly in his mind could not tell the exact reason why they were fighting over him. But he knew that it was something of great importance to the cultivators in this time.

'The Wind Monarch!? I tried comprehending the Wind when i was in the misty mountains, and when I was about to become a Scion of the man covered in mist, I suddenly awakened here. Those this have anything to do with my situation?' Grey phim.ered inwardly as the body he was inhabiting flew over with a strange force wrapped around him.

Loud whistling sound were soon heard and when Waiyu looked over, he saw two rainbow colored arcs charging straight towards him. The strong auras radiating from them was almost at the same level as the man named Waiyu, indicating that they were both in the seventh level as well.

Waiyu gritted his teeth and further increased his speed. Then, a little of the rainbow arc flew over and wrapped around Grey's body, which would enable him to withstand the intense speed at which they were tearing through the winds.

After all, the body Grey's mind was in was still a mundane body. No matter how agile and lithe it was, it could it withstand the piercing winds that would slam into his body.

Although Grey wouldn't mind if he was moving at this speed without any protection, to him, it was another opportunity to further gain an understanding of the wind.

'What is going on? Why are the other six immortals chasing this immortal. And why was I carried along without any explanation? Is something wrong?' The body Grey's mind was inhabiting said inwardly. Panic was starting to spread all over his face. He started to visible sweat and pray that he was not harmed by the immortals.

To normal people, cultivators were immortals. They could live for a very long time and were immune to many illnesses. They could even stay for a long time without eating, the spirit energy they cultivated would serve as nutrition to them for the time being.

To every mundane person, becoming a cultivator was a dream and a opportunity. Not only could they live for a long time, but they would also have certain privileges.

In many cities today, cultivators were highly respected and strong. The only ones who could battle with them were other cultivators. Normal people could not even dream of harming a cultivator. Just being present when two cultivators fought was more than enough to kill them.

As Waiyu carried Grey, and the two rainbow colored arcs speedily followed behind. But anytime they got within a hundred feet radius, Waiyu would panic and forcefully increase his speed. Although his speed was temporarily increased and he would not be caught up by the other cultivators anytime soon, using the extra burst of speed was consuming his reserves of spirit energy faster.

While all this was going in, Grey was having some thoughts inside his mind.

'That strange man said something about the Wind Monarch and being the General of Humanity. But what could it mean? Where exactly am I? I can tell that I'm currently inside this body's memories, but from when? How long ago was this? And the lack of Corrosive substances makes it even more weird. All through this time, I've not heard anything bizarre existences, corroded zones, or even anything about God's descendance...' Grey said inwardly.

'Could this be the time after the Burning Era? After all, that was the time where many races joined together to fight against the human race, but humanity still survived till now. That is the only era that I know before God's descendance. All the other eras I know were after God descended.'

'Also, how are these cultivators capable of flight without reaching the Foundation Establishment realm. And they are not using flight talismans either, so it must either be a technique, or Qi Accumulation realm cultivators could fly before God descended.' After Grey said that, he became confused.
