Chapter 14
Chapter 14: If You Came, Don’t Leave:
“Qian Rou, what realm has Gu Feng’s cultivation reached now?” Ye Fan opened his eyes.
“He should be at the early stage Golden Core Realm,” Qian Rou replied, looking at Ye Fan with concern, worried he might be discouraged.
She quickly added, “You’re about to reach the Foundation Establishment Realm yourself. Trust me, in three years, Gu Feng won’t be able to compare with you.”
“His father is a Golden Core Realm cultivator, so naturally, he had a strong foundation from a young age. But the further one advances, the harder it becomes to improve.”
“You are the most talented and diligent genius I’ve ever seen. So don’t be disheartened.”
Her comforting words fell on Ye Fan’s ears, but they didn’t uplift his spirits.
Was it really like that?
“You’ve exhausted yourself today. Rest well.” Qian Rou gently soothed him until he fell asleep from exhaustion. Only then did she begin transferring spiritual Qi to nourish his body.
Late at night, when everything was silent, Qian Rou left Ye Fan’s room and arrived at Gu Feng’s door.
“Visiting late at night, is there something you need, fairy?” The door opened without a breeze.
Gu Feng sat cross-legged on a meditation cushion and slowly opened his eyes. As he did, the room became brightly lit.
“You can see me after all,” Qian Rou frowned at him. “Your cultivation is beyond even my comprehension. At first, I thought you were using some treasure to conceal your true power. But now it seems you’ve taken over the body of this disciple named Gu Feng, haven’t you?”
Her soul form was that of a graceful, mature woman with a warm, soft appearance and an excellent figure.
“Heh.” Gu Feng smiled faintly, saying nothing, simply watching Qian Rou as she spoke.
“Although I don’t know where you came from, you must be aware of the Mo Pavilion. Ye Fan is the successor I’ve chosen for the Mo Pavilion. If you give me some face, the Mo Pavilion will also give you face0” Qian Rou said, her tone forceful.
The Mo Pavilion was a considerable organization in the Fifth Realm, dealing in the trade of cultivation items. Qian Rou was one of its founders.
According to the original novel, after Ye Fan reached the Fifth Realm, he indeed became the head of the Mo Pavilion. But…
“Heh, a mere cultivator from the Fifth Realm dares to speak to me like this?” Gu Feng tilted his head, his long hair flowing as a cold wind blew toward Qian Rou. By the time she realized something was wrong, a barrier had already formed around her.
“You! Who are you really?” Qian Rou struck the barrier, but her attack only caused slight ripples. Now, she was genuinely panicked. She couldn’t even break a barrier he had casually set up?
She turned to face Gu Feng, her tone now cold and hard. “If you kill me, the Mo Pavilion will hunt you down to the ends of the earth.”
“The Mo Pavilion is your trump card?” Gu Feng stood up slowly. “What a pity. A mere Mo Pavilion is nothing to me.”
He stepped forward and grabbed Qian Rou’s chin. Even though she was just a soul, his powerful spiritual Qi allowed her to clearly feel the pain of having her chin gripped.
“I’m more interested in you than in the Mo Pavilion.”
What? Qian Rou’s eyes widened in shock, her body trembling with rage.
“You scoundrel…”
“Call me what you want,” Gu Feng said, tilting her chin higher. “You don’t have a Dao partner, do you? Protecting Ye Fan like that—are you interested in that little junior? Truly an old cow eating young grass.”
Qian Rou’s face turned bright red, whether from Gu Feng’s actions or his words, or perhaps both.
“Stop spouting nonsense!”
She was enraged and struck at Gu Feng’s chest with all her might. Even in her soul form, she still possessed spiritual power. This attack used all her strength. If it landed, even a Nascent Soul expert would meet their end.
But Gu Feng wasn’t at the Nascent Soul Realm. He had reached the Void Realm and had a body to match.
Over the past three years, this body, driven by his soul and refined by spiritual Qi, had become fully comparable to the body he once had.
So, when Qian Rou’s attack landed on him, Gu Feng didn’t even flinch. Instead, Qian Rou was repelled by the force of her own attack, her entire soul dimming.
“With such meager skills, you think you can teach me a lesson on Ye Fan’s behalf?”
Gu Feng had already guessed her purpose for coming. This arrogant woman really thought she could back someone up.
“I originally didn’t want to get involved in Ye Fan’s matters, but since all of you are so determined to provoke me, I have no choice.”
He smiled faintly, pointing a finger in Qian Rou’s direction. A dense surge of spiritual Qi pierced her like a needle, and she collapsed immediately.
“What are you planning?” Qian Rou looked up at Gu Feng, her eyes wide with fear.
“I’m not interested in old women,” Gu Feng said coldly. “But a soul at the Spirit Refining Realm can be useful in many ways. I’m considering whether to turn you into a puppet or control you and take over the Mo Pavilion.”
His calm words described Qian Rou’s worst nightmare.
“I was wrong, Senior. I know it was a mistake to come here and offend you. I have many high-grade spiritual herbs, and even access to a small spatial rift. Please…” Qian Rou trembled all over.
“Please spare me!”
“Why would I hand over something once it’s in my grasp? Especially when you walked right into it yourself.”
