Chapter 119: Stakes Beyond Anyone's Reach Part 3.
The Bald Instructor's sorrow is substantial, unfounded, despite he is technically the culprit of many Cadets stranded in the unknown territories at the other side of deactivated Passages and Umbrals, with no way back to Nrahtuol. Which includes my Ex Fiancée Seinnissia, and my Cousin Verseika.
"Instructor, You couldn't have known what was going to happen. It's like being mugged and saying «I shouldn't have left the house». Maybe that could prevent the crime, or perhaps the assailants didn't broke into your house and stole everything. Not the best example. But what else we can do?…". My inquiry becomes irrelevant as i perceive the lack of air moving in our fly path, while another known sensation starts to creep up from the soles of my feet.
I deviate my eyes for confirmation, unable to see it, but aware of it's presence. Yet, i am not the only person affected by it, Bayron is passing for the same, and Brenna rushedly exclaims with panic and confusion. "Why am i getting covered by the «Nothingness» of an Exodus?!. And why is swallowing me faster than Vurckair and Bayron?!".
The Bald Instructor snaps out of his self-loath, flabbergasted at the event. "They must have more Ordinance than you, trying and failing to resist being sent back to their is worlds of origin. However, it shouldn't occur yet. We have days…". He looks around, and everyone aside Bayron and me, appear to understand the unfolding event.
"We are not flying anymore" Comments Cadrissa with disbelief. "We are stationary in the air… , That means the Deformed Agglomeration must had reach a Relativistic Portal, there is nothing we can do to prevent the Exodus…".
{Because relative time is as good as not having any time left…}.
Brenna screams with tears forming in his emerald eyes. "I don't want to go back to Azthea, I like here". He observes Cadrissa, both are equally commotioned.
Yesterday, their engagement got nullified due to Natvasha's machinations. Thanks to my intervention this nuisance was sorted out, and now, it's way worse. Forcefully separated with no way to contact each other, or meet once again.
Ines brushes her fingers against my hand, murmuring with sadness. "It was a displeasure meeting you, Lustful Beast… , If we encounter again, it's because everything you did for me, My Alpha…".
Ines leans forward, her meaty black lips engaging in a passionate short kiss, so she can observe me afterwards, engraving me in her memory.
{If only we could know the location of each other. Too bad the Identification Card does not work outside of Takctoor and… , That's it!}.
"Quickly, Barking Bitch!. Or anyone!. Put «Track Tags» on all of us. We may have lost this World and Counterpart. But as long as we are alive, we can still try to be together…".
Cadrissa giggles. "Your resolution is remarkable, Vurckair". Her hand touches my chest with her Pink Emts, leaving an ephemeral mark, like it happens when she touches everyone else's shoulders, except for Brenna, both touching the cleavage of the other, before the Breasted Femboy vanishes.
Similarly, Bayron disappears, he is the other person who can't put Track Tags. However, Brenna said something useful. He is from Azthea, so between the two of us, we can try to find the others.
"You better don't perish, Lustful Beast. I'm going to reach you, and with Cadrissa, we will Delve together as a Trinity. Yesterday doesn't count".
"Haha. Of course, Barking Bitch. Just the Tip doesn't count". I tease with a playful wink, having a broad view of the remaining people over the giant owl. Esdrana wanting to say something, but not daring to do it. Which is the same as Cadrissa, though she trails her neck, hinting i should have a choker to collar her at our future reunion.
The Nothingness envelops my body, taking an instant to return me to the bathroom in my apartment in Azthea.
A bunch of ethereal notifications pop up before me, i ignore all of them, my attention caught by the voice of the mature woman dressing in my bedroom. "What was that slip?. Did you get dizzy?. Or are you sick?. If so, don't overexert yourself. Take care of your health. I don't want my Student to miss classes or drop out of University because he is burned out by having too much fun with every woman his eyes land on".
"There is no need to be jealous or worried. I let you be in my bed, Professor. I don't allow anyone this privilege".
She scoffs, trying to conceal her silly smile, unfitted for a mature woman, yet, the sight is bewitching. "You make me feel so special. If i were a decade younger, i would have left my husband for you".
"Haha. I'm flattered. Do you want take a shower?".
She doubts, surprised by the question, wanting to say «Yes», though she decides otherwise. "I can't today. I have to pick up my sister's sons and drop them off at their High School. It's a good thing you adore to wake up so early in the morning, or i would be in a real rush. We will meet tomorrow evening after the Extracurricular Courses?".
"Sure…".
My short answer is not without a reason, and it doesn't escape the Professor's watchful intuition. "Something on your mind".
"Indeed. Too much…". I smile, my sight glued to the unnatural shine in the drawer of the nightstand where the photo frames of my deceased acquaintances are kept.
"I'll see you in class. Don't skip them, or convince others to accompany you".
"Said the Professor who preferred having sex to going to work, almost forgetting her previous appointment.
"«Almost» it's the key word. So don't bother me too much. Or you'll find out what a Widow is capable of". The Professor sends me a flying kiss and leaves my apartment.
As soon as the main door is closed, i jump out of the bathroom, leaping over the bed and nearly hitting the opposite wall.
{Azthea's gravity is lower than Loutharn's and Nrahtuol's. Although not by much. The major difference is my Unlocked Stats}.
I open the nightstand's drawer, grabbing one of the objects shining inside, a river stone, one of the many my mother liked to collect.
Of course, it's not really a little rock, but something more meaningful and revealing, because it's existence, shouldn't be possible in Azthea.
"Crystallized Stats".
Yet, it opens a wide array of paths, along issuing plenty of unanswered questions…
