Chapter 1528: New Life (2)
-----
I quickly walked outside with Erika, Elizabeth, and Eleanora. I noticed my siblings, who were playing with their spirits, being chased by them, and then chasing them back. They didn't take too long to notice me either.
"Oh! Big brother is back!" Anna said, running towards me.
"Bro!" Allan screamed, rushing towards me.
I spread my arms, hugging both of my beloved siblings.
"I'm home... sorry for being so late to wake up, I was very tired."
"I can tell, hehe! I missed you!" Anna kissed my cheek, hugging me tightly.
"Yeah... me too..." Allan nodded, as he kissed me too. "You won't leave us to war anymore, brother?"
"No, not anymore," I said with a smile. "I'll stay here, or well, close... I plan to move to my our own house with my three spouses. But it should be right next to this one, you can visit any time too."
"Really? Wow!" Anna said.
"Big bro is getting a new house?! Cool!" Allan said.
As I laughed and played with my siblings, my father, mother, and grandmother walked to my side, they looked very happy.
"Blake! You're finally awake, my dear son," my mother said, hugging me and kissing my cheek. "You don't know how much I was worried about you! Are you healthy? You look famished! I bet you're hungry, we're going to cook lunch for now. How about a delicious stew with lots of veggies and wild boar meat? The one you always loved when you were a child?"
"Of course mother, I'd love that," I nodded. "Thank you..."
"My son..." my father hugged me, patting my back with his big hands. "Hahaha! You really did it Blake! I can hardly believe it! It's really over... and hell, I've heard news about Hell suddenly becoming a new continent?! What's up with that?"
"It's a long story," I said. "But not all demons were really evil... much like us, there's those that fight and die for those in power, sometimes forced, or sometimes because they desired that. but there's also innocent people that only lived their own lives. However different they may me to us, I thought... for my friend Erdrich's sake, that they deserved a second chance."
"And you thought well," my grandmother said. "This... I believe with this, a new future none of us could ever see is beginning to form... and I'm so glad I lived long enough to see it."
"Yeah, grandma..." I nodded. "I know."
We entered inside the house, the Stardust Child quickly coming along as he floated around playfully. The rest of my Vampire Spirits were on their own devices, as I had allowed them to do as they pleased as long as they followed certain rules. Some had gone into journeys on their own to learn more about the world, others continued their passions and hobbies, and a few remained here.
"Master, I am glad to see you awake! I have gathered some interesting new herbs that have begun appearing in the Spirit Forest," Hendrick appeared behind me.
"Papa! Hi! You're finally awake! Sorry for being late, I was playing with the kids at the plaza!" Saphira said with a giggle. "Huggies for you!" she hugged me cutely.
"Where's Woo?" I wondered.
"He went on a journey as well," Eleanora said. "Of course, you could summon him here if you wanted..."
"Nah, it's fine," I said. "Whatever journey he went to, I'm sure he needed it. That old man lived his entire life in that city back then after all..."
"That's right, not only for us, but for everyone, even the Vampires, it was finally time to live our own lives," nodded Eleanora.
"You're not wrong..." I said. "My friends... Nah, I bet they're busy on their own lives. All of them are getting married already I bet. They must be busy."
"Yeah, actually, Erdrich already married with Patricia, and Patricia said she was pregnant, hahah..." Erika giggled.
"Already?!" I gasped. "He sure wastes no time..."
"They're very in love, haha," Elizabeth giggled. "I'm happy for him! Erdrich is like my brother after all... Can't wait to see the baby!"
"What about Eric and Alberta?" I asked.
"They currently are at the Dwarven Continent," Erika said. "Um, I think he brought along his whole family so they could meet Alberta's family! They're having a whole family trip; it would be rude to suddenly get in between their personal family time."
"It would, I'm happy for him and Alberta..." I nodded. "And Chris?"
"He went to the capital after Frederica called him! They're already engaged too," Erika said. "They may get married soon. I think his status as a Hero really made him popular among the nobles, especially because he wants to get involved with all of them, haha..."
"Well, I'm happy he finally found a girl that loved him," I said, sighing in relief. "He was really getting on my nerves... Ah, about Elfriedden... well, I don't even need to guess, he already married Rosenheim, right?"
"Indeed," nodded Eleanora. "He has officially become his Kingdom's Hero King, and now he'll be busy actively leading his people."
"He'll make a great king," I said. "Alright then... Everyone is living their own lives, we better not bother them... let's live our own as well, shall we?"
Like that, our lives together truly began.
But first, I helped my mother cook the stew I loved.
I cut some veggies, and also brought along some spices, and added a little extra "spice", a sprinkle of my spirit energy.
Just to make the dish extra magical today.
My father taught my brother how to butcher a Wild Boar he had hunted earlier, and then we cut chunks, fried them a little, and then added them to the stew.
The potatoes the girls were peeling were also added, some whole, others were cut into smaller pieces for everyone's tastes.
Grandma also made her famous baked potatoes with sour cream and cheese; they were delicious with some onion powder mixed with the sour cream.
Lastly, Elizabeth also made some tea for everyone, she had bought several unique blends from the Elven Continent which she always happily shared with us.
It was a delicious lunch, and we all had seconds, there was plenty for thirds as well, and Erika ended up eating four whole plates of stew, she was as voracious as always.
After that, we had a small trip around town, where lots of people recognized me and talked to me, calling me hero and all of that.
I simply tried to ignore them, although I was forced by Elizabeth to wave my hand at the very least...
There, we moved to the orphanage and the church, where we met with the caretakers, the children, and we met with Seth and Jack, the priests of the church that also had taken care of Elizabeth when she was younger alongside Ellergest.
"Ah, welcome back, Elizabeth, it is nice to see you again," Seth said with a gentle smile.
"Hmm? Oh, you've brought the whole group this time, huh?" Jack wondered.
"Hello!" Erika said.
"We were just passing by," Eleanora said.
"Yeah, I wanted Blake to stretch his legs and walk around town for a bit, he had been unconscious for a week after all," Elizabeth nodded.
"Hello, Seth, Jack, it has been quite a long time since the last time we talked," I said.
"Indeed, it has, but there hasn't been a day where we haven't heard of you," Seth said, chuckling.
"Hahah, indeed, who would've thought the rebellious kid that jumped around people's rooftops would become such a renowned hero now," Jack laughed.
"A lot has changed since those days..." I said, reminiscing. "I was wondering if you could help us out with our wedding? I plan to marry Elizabeth, Erika, and Eleanora the same day, is it possible to arrange a wedding with the church of the Holy Spirits?"
"Ah, so the time has come, huh?" Seth wondered. "You're one lucky young man, Blake."
