Chapter 1516: Archdemons (2)
-----
"SO, BLAKE, SUMMONER... I OFFER YOU THIS."
Leviathan was willingly to sacrifice everything just to survive, as he brought along giant statue of himself, where he had been sealed.
Inside that statue was also his Archdemon Core, which Blake could snatch if he wanted, gaining its powers...
"He's offering you his sealed body and his core?!" Erdrich wondered. "He might be telling the truth, Blake..."
"I can't believe this! This is the first time we meet an Archdemon that didn't want to kill us!" Erika said.
"I mean, he certainly would want to if he was stronger than us," Chris said, crossing his arms. "He's only surrendering because he knows he can't win."
"OF COURSE, BOY, WHY ELSE WOULD I SURRENDER? I AM A DEMON; I BOW TO THE STRONG. AND BY GIVING MY POWER TO BLAKE... I'M ALSO MAKING A GAMBLE. LUCIFER COULD WIN AT THE END TOO, AND I WOULD DIE ALONGSIDE HIM."
"That's true..." Blake sighed. "But if you try anything, I'll crush your soul."
Blake quickly swung his hand forward, as his Grimoire manifested, and he smiled. Now that he was unbound by the previous System, there were several restrictions he could ignore.
"Grimoire, absorb all of it."
"WHAT?!"
Leviathan panicked, as he saw his body, core, and his spectral apparition all become absorbed by the grimoire's gluttonous maws, which emerged out of its pages.
CRUNCH, CRUNCH, CRUNCH.
Everyone looked in disbelief at the scene, but Blake closed his eyes, as the Grimoire suddenly closed, glowing brightly, releasing demonic energy and spirit energy.
"A thing I obtained from the research of Sathan was the ability to create Demonic Spirits, I inscribed this knowledge, these magic circles and runes into the Grimoire, and now that I have Ranked Up, this power has become mine too."
"What?!"
Everyone was left speechless, as the grimoire opened, revealing a crimson red card, which Blake grabbed and then quickly threw into the air, transforming it into an explosion of flames.
BOOOM!
From the spiraling flame tornado, a long, serpentine entity emerged, with red and blue scales, sharp golden eyes, black horns, and a pair of very muscular arms.
It was Leviathan, fully complete, as if he had been unsealed completely!
Ding!
[You have successfully created the Demonic Familiar Card: [Leviathan, Archdemon King of Envy (L+ Rank)]!]
"You turned an Archdemon into a Familiar?!" Chris asked. "No freaking way! You could do that?!"
"Only recently I attained that power," Blake said. "Now, Leviathan, how do you feel?"
"I-Incredible...! It's truly my body! I have been unsealed?! But this is... I feel connected to you, bound by an eternal contract..." Leviathan muttered. "I see now... so this is the power of the Summoner. Ridiculous... but I suppose I have no other choice now, not like I ever had either way. I will now fight for you, and we shall face Lucifer like brothers."
"Brothers? Don't underestimate this, you are not my equal, you're my inferior, you're my servant, for eternity," Blake said. "I know Erdrich may feel bad about it, but hear me well, my friend, Leviathan is not an innocent demon. He had conquered thousands of worlds and killed billions with his own armies. He even deserves death, but I chose to give him a second chance."
"I see... well, I guess this is a fitting punishment then," Erdrich nodded, smirking.
"Tch... To think I would be reduced to a mere pet... but it beats actually just dying," Leviathan laughed. "All of you down there, now you bow down to Blake or die by my hand, understood?!"
"Y-YES, LORD LEVIATHAN!"
The demons down below roared in unison, too scared to even dare oppose their King now that he had been "revived" thanks to Blake. It was perhaps the first time that Blake ever had demons below his command, and that he had no other intentions than to serve him now, even if by force.
"Now, Leviathan, tell me, do you have a way to quickly teleport to the other Layers?" Blake asked. "And where's Lucifer? I would've thought he would come to greet me personally... is he holed inside of his own Domain?"
"Indeed, he rarely steps out of his Domain after your fight," Leviathan spoke. "He's been obsessed with taking over Spiritias, but now that you've ruined all his plans, I bet he's pissed and going really mad down there. If anything, he might be amassing as much power as possible to fight you at full power."
"Hmm, I see," Blake nodded, closing his eyes. "Now tell me, how can I reach the other Archdemons?"
"The ones you sealed? You've destroyed their souls, the only thing that may remain is a piece of their cores and their bodies..." Leviathan said. "Oh... you mean... you want to...?"
"It's worth giving it a try, don't you think?" Blake smiled. "I might as well take everything I can before it's too late."
"...Hah!" Leviathan laughed. "Very well, you're crazier than when you were Asmodeus, I see... I do have a way, this."
Leviathan summoned something from his Demonic Treasury, a giant blazing red key, which floated towards Blake.
"This is the Demon Layer Key, I have not used it in eons," Leviathan explained. "Use it to access to the palace of each Archdemon directly. We used this for meetings, but that has not been the case in a long while. Since your invasion that whatever alliances we had were shattered. Some went completely mad, while others became isolated... I was scared; I didn't want to die. And well, here we are now."
"Hmph, as if I were to care what you felt like," Blake said. "You deserved all of that and even worse, I don't have any pity for you and your ilk. Now, I'll go. Wait here."
Blake quickly used the key, leaving his friends behind as they descended into the Demonic Citadel, as Leviathan told his Demons about Blake and his friends, and their new alliance.
Some demons, however, were furious, attacking Blake's friends and getting swiftly crushed... not by them, but by leviathan's claws or tail.
