Vampire Summoner's Rebirth: Summoning The Vampire Queen At The Start

Chapter 1460: The Mysterious Threat

"Thank you… Thank you everyone…" Alberta suddenly broke into tears, as Eric comforted her, letting her cry over his shoulders. "I-I… I'm so happy you're my friends…"

"It's alright," Eric caressed her head. "See? I told you everyone would help, don't worry."

After that conversation, we had some lunch to make Alberta happier, we cooked all the meals she liked, and she slowly got better.

Once we were done, we walked back to the Academy, where we discussed about everything we knew about Belphegor with Director Hasan and the Teachers, and he also told us some valuable information.

"Fierysmith isn't the only place being affected, nearby cities are slowly falling to the fog, worst part it's like a contagious curse, so even those that had yet to fall asleep would give it to someone else by escaping the fog," he said. "It's dangerous, and the Alliance is too busy to deal with that problem, the higher ups insisted we should simply quarantine the whole continent, but that's… just way too cruel."

"I agree, but I also agree that they have to be ruthless now, when we are in a constant war against demons," I said. "Just like before, we'll take care of this ourselves, so don't worry. We are not really representing the Alliance though, we are doing it out of personal interests; to help a friend, that's everything."

"I see… but are you sure? Do you even know how to counter that curse?" he asked.

"I do…" I smiled, as I manifested a bright light.

The power of the Morning Star Divinity.

"I can do this as well!"

And Elizabeth by my side did the same, as through this time, I had synthetized a pill for her using a small fragment of Lucifer's Divinity Fragment.

Once she consumed it and trained a lot, she was able to channel it into her usual light, receiving a substantial boost.

Among everyone else, she was the only compatible with it.

"This is a special power, the Light of the Morning Star, I stole it from Lucifer," I explained. "It is the power of Archangels, ancient beings that serve a "God" outside of this World. The opposite of Lucifer and the Demons, their sacred power can counter their curses."

"I did know about angels before, but this is… well, incredible!" Hasan said. "Very well, you have our trust. We'll help you anyway with resources and money, I bet you'll need a bit to help the dwarves."

"Indeed, thank you," I nodded. "And about you…"

I looked at the only Dwarf that was a teacher here, Hellburn Fierysmith, Alberta's uncle.

"I already talked with her, and I agreed that I'll come along," nodded Hellburn, his usual cheerful personality was gone, he looked very serious. "I have to go help my people… Even though I dislike their customs and how judgmental they can be… they're still my family."

"Alright, I am sure Alberta will be happy that you'll come along," I nodded. "And about this city… I'll leave some of my Spirits to protect it."

"Are you sure? There's really no need! What happened before was only a mishap, it won't happen again," the Director assured me.

"Yeah, I know, I trust you," I nodded. "But I can't say the same about the rest of this city's population, there might still be cultists hiding, waiting for another moment, if we lose this city and the academy, the Continental Alliance won't be able to produce strong soldiers anymore. We cannot afford to leave it unprotected."

"Well… thank you," Hasan sighed. "You've done so much for everyone, Blake… We can hardly think of ways to repay you nowadays."

"It's fine, don't think about it," I smiled. "But if you can, get me Spirit Orbs, of any Rank."

"Hahaah… I knew you were going to say that," he laughed. "Sure thing."

Like that, I felt their meeting room, moving back to our house in the city to prepare. Through these last three months, we visited a couple of A+ Rank Dungeons, there wasn't a S Rank Dungeon in the city unfortunately.

With that, I had gained a couple of levels by endlessly hunting them until they ran out of monsters for us, even when a Dungeon Mutation occurred, or even when I artificially prompted the dungeon to produce stronger monsters by feeding it demonic energy or miasma directly, I wasn't able to grow as quickly as I wanted level-wise.

I had only reached Level 400, not nearly as enough as I wanted it to be, I was hoping to at least get to 450 or close to 500 to go for another Rank Up before the end of the year, but that wasn't going to be so easy.

However, Level 400 was still great anyway, and I might be able to get a couple more levels from fighting whatever Demons or Monsters lurk within that Continent, I do remember that Belphegor employed a variety of unique demons and creatures that served him.

"So when we'll be departing? I am eager to go to another continent~" Eleanora appeared by my side, as she sat over the bed with her legs crossed.

"Tomorrow morning," I said. "An airship will come to bring us there by then… Eleanora, do you remember our fight against Belphegor?"

"Ah yes, I do… so it's him then?" she wondered. "I wonder how we'll fare against him now that we've got so much strength…"

"Heh," I smiled. "Maybe we can use him, if you know what I mean."

"Oh?" she tilted her head. "It looks like you've been thinking about something, dear?"

"Indeed," I said. "If we can do this right, we could gain the ability to level up even faster…"

"You mean…?" her eyes widened, realizing what I meant. "But is that a viable strategy?"

"We'll have to try," I nodded. "Until then, let's prepare."

The next day came way too quickly, our preparations were barely done, but they were indeed done. We moved with everyone else to the airport after breakfast, a few of the students were there to wish us good luck.
