Chapter 1458: A Problem With The Dwarves 1
-----
Days became weeks, and weeks became months, and it has been three months since Dylan's act of betrayal, and then his defeat and redemption, Lucifer had yet to make a move at all, and it even seemed like the Demonic Army in the North had become smaller, some thought he had grown weaker after our battle, and although I agreed, I knew that there was something happening, he was preparing for something, perhaps for our eventual clash.
I looked in front of me, as the classmates sparred with my friends, everyone had been growing rapidly through visiting dungeons and learning from the teachers, while also learning from my Virtual Realm and training even more in there, for days at once sometimes. At the end, knowing we were already way too advanced, the Director made us Peer Tutors, as we gained a similar authority to the other Professors and Teachers of the Academy, while still being Students ourselves.
They had all improved greatly, and now by seeing how Clarice moved, fought, and unleashed the power of her Spirits and her Class Skills, she had at least become ten times as strong as she was three months ago, intensive training that is close to torture truly makes these young one's blossom.
"HAAAAH!"
Clarice roared, swinging her axe down and unleashing an explosion of golden flames from her attack, but Erika smiled confidently, swinging her sword and parrying her blow effortlessly, although she was ultimately pushed back a few centimeters.
CLAAASH!
"Uagh!"
Clarice fell to the ground, defeated, her spar against Erika had been the longest so far with over a minute, before she was getting thrown out of the ring in just a single blow, but she had grown to the point she could intercept, evade, and parry a couple of attacks while attacking back too.
It was the same for everyone else, as they had recently sparred with a few of my friends too, some were happening simultaneously, such as the one between Erdrich and Patricia, his girlfriend. They started a relationship just after everything ended.
I would be lying if I said I knew that she was a Cultist, I was also caught by surprise, her demonic power was well hidden beneath her own non-demonic spirit, it was a strange ability she had, and perhaps this is why she was chosen to infiltrate.
However, it was more or less something she was forced to do due to her circumstances, with Erdrich around, she was given a second chance… I wouldn't have spared her though, but Erdrich insisted, and to trust her more, we made a special Soul Contract which we used for her to swear loyalty to not me, but Erdrich.
At the end, I let her go easily, I couldn't really treat her differently than Dylan, as it was my own decision and selfishness that led us to forgive him as well… And about him, he recently left to the frontlines, and with his new strength as my Familiar he had been fighting nonstop, pushing back the demons even better than before. He had regained his motivation as well, as he had visited his family briefly before departing, thanking me afterwards for giving him a second chance as he was very happy to have met them again, and realizing how foolish he was before.
"You're amazing, Erika! There's no way I could ever get to your level…" Clarice sighed, as Erika extended a hand to her.
"Don't say that! You're super talented, Clarice!" Erika smiled, helping her stand up. "I think you may get to our level if you train lots and lots more! But you've already advanced super quickly, right? So it shouldn't be too hard!"
"Uuh, the training is super arduous, and it makes me want to quit every time but… yeah, the results never disappoint," Clarice smiled, closing the palm of her hand. "Oh? Looks like Patricia also finished… Erdrich is also super strong, huh? But she's getting better as well."
"Yeah, aside from Blake nobody else could teach her how to use her demonic powers better than him, and it just happens that he's her boyfriend now, so I'm glad for the two!" Erika giggled.
Both of them also looked at Patricia and Erdrich.
"Phew! That was great, thank you for helping me train every day, Erdrich!" Patricia said. "It really means a lot to me…"
Her hair had grown a bit longer than I remember, and it seemed that she had begun acting slightly more feminine too, it seemed that she wanted to be more attractive to him.
And it was working, as he had been heads over heels for her even more nowadays… However, it seems this is as "feminine" as that girl can act, as it seems to be her limit, however, that's just what Erdrich likes apparently, he loves strong women with muscles, similar to him.
"Oh well, I'm glad I can help in any way," Erdrich said to Patricia. "Feeling better now?"
"Yes, I needed some nice exercise… But man, I'm sweating all over, want to come take a shower together?" Patricia smiled with a coquettish giggle.
"A-Ah, really?! Well if you insist… why not?" Erdrich became really embarrassed but happily ran with Patricia to our house to take a shower and rest.
I noticed how he was grabbing her buttocks tightly as well, and she was doing the same with him…
Well, I can say he has great tastes, a man that likes strong women will never have to worry about their women being suddenly kidnaped or attacked by an enemy.
Though, if I say so myself, I have more preferences towards slender and tall women, like Eleanora… or well, cute, like Erika.
Elizabeth is a good in between the two, being both tall and cute, and also having a majestic aura for her, giving her a special beauty.
Well, I could say I am also heads over heels for them, and I can't wait for our marriage ceremony, which is soon approaching.
"Blake! You came to see me spar?" Erika ran to my side, as I offered her something to drink.
"Yeah," I nodded. "Good work as always, Erika."
"Thank you for the juice! Love you!" Erika drank a bit and then kissed my lips a few times. "Mooch, mooch, mooch!"
"Hahah, come on, you're going to embarrass me…" I laughed a little.
"I don't care, heheh!" Erika giggled. "Do you want to spar too? We could go for a match! How about it?"
"Hmm, I don't see why not!" I nodded. "Sure thing, let's-"
"Blake! Is Student Blake here?!"
However, before the match could begin, we were interrumpted by someone, Professor Evelyn came rushing towards me the moment she saw me.
"Oh my dear student, there's some big news!" she said, giving me a paper. "We recently got this letter from the Allied Dwarven Nations of Svartalf! It seems to be from some nobles of the Fierysmith Kingdom."
"What?" I wondered. "Has Alberta been notified?"
"Yes she said she was coming, we already asked her to come using a magical device," said Evelyn. "It seems to be a distress call for help…!"
"…?" I looked confused at the letter, reading it.
