Chapter 11: CHAPTER 11
The plump man's heart missed a beat seeing the menacing look on Zane's face. Zane spoke out at that moment.
"I am giving you twelve hours to go back to whatever family you paid to and collect all your money back. Do this and evacuate the store immediately."
Zane walked away without waiting for the plump man words nor his reaction.
When Zane stepped away from him. He couldn't believe the ridiculous words Zane just told him so he spoke out.
"Who do you think you are! How dare you try to boss me around. Do you know..."
Zane gave the man a deadly glare and the plump man instantly lost his voice. Zane didn't bother to say anything, his glare was enough. His glare was enough to frighten the devil, let alone a mere human.
Zane entered his car and the plump man finally gained control of his breathing again. He almost died from Zane's deadly glare. He had never seen anything intimidating like that before. It was as if Zane was looking directly into his soul and his heart somehow felt like it was being touched by somebody.
He had no idea what he just witnessed but the moment felt like hell to him.
The last thing he wanted was to die a worthless death.
"Stop what you are doing! All of you!"
The plump man barked at the workers that were helping take things inside.
Zane started his car then and drove to the nearest police station. When he got there it was night already.
He came out and gracefully walked inside the police station with his shoulder high, making him look like a commander in the military.
As Zane walked to the front desk. Everyone's eyes were on him. His physique was amazing, but that wasn't why everyone was attracted to him. He had murderous eyes. It had been a long while since they saw somebody walk into the police with red eyes of violence.
Zane reached the front desk and gently placed his right hand on the desk.
"I want to speak with the person in charge."
On a normal day, the police officer would have handled the issue himself. His job was to receive people like Zane who had a complaint, but for some unknown reasons he believed his job wasn't to attend to a man like Zane. He rather let his boss handle this one.
The officer left and called the chief in.
The chief came out of his office. He was a middle aged man with grey hair. He came out with a big frown on his face. He was angry that the officer couldn't handle a few complaints from the ever disturbing citizens around.
He wanted to head back to his office but when he saw Zane, he couldn't help but walk closer to attend to Zane.
"Gentleman, how can I help you?"
"I am the chief of this station. You can lay your complaints at me and I will see how I can help you."
The chief voiced out as he extended his hands to Zane for a handshake. He could see the deadly look on Zane's face, but he wasn't intimidated by it.
This was a police station. Nobody could really come here and start a conflict, and certainly not one man.
Zane didn't look at the chief's hands let alone accept his handshake. He went straight to the reason he came to the police station.
"You are currently holding a girl named Emma Xavier. I want her released immediately."
Zane's words were so straight that it made the chief's facial expression darkened, and so with his boys around.
The chief withdrew his hand back and asked.
"I am sorry, what is your name again? Have you written your name down? You have to do that before we can even have a conversation with you."
Zane responded with a straight face.
"I am here to tell you what to do, and I want you to release Emma Xavier now."
The chief couldn't contain Zane's rude behavior anymore. He shook his head forward and asked with an angry facial expression.
"And what if I don't."
The chief motion caused everyone to stop what they were doing and face Zane, more like they were daring Zane to say one wrong thing that they could use to lock him up.
Zane simply checked his wristwatch without noticing the intensity in the room.
"I am giving you three minutes to do as I say."
Zane said as he looked at his wristwatch and faced the chief back.
The chief expression darkened more. He slammed his fist on the front desk and roared.
"Three minutes and you are going to do what? What are you going to do young man? Who do you think you are? The Mayor's son."
Everyone burst out laughing at that moment. The chief continued when the laughter reduced.
"Even if you are the Mayor's son you don't get to push me around. Do you even have an idea who locked the little girl you are talking about? It's the Byson family, do you have what it takes to go against the Byson family? Do you have what it takes, son!"
Zane wasn't paying attention to the gestures the chief was making. He simply voiced out as he looked at his wristwatch again.
"You have two minutes to do as I say, chief."
Zane looked at the chief and continued.
"You will wish I was the Mayor's son when the two minute countdown expires!"
The chief expression darkened. He couldn't believe a little boy like this could come to the police station and start spilling out nonsense.
Who the hell does he think he is?
The chief couldn't take Zane's insolent behavior anymore. He pointed at the policemen who were behind Zane.
"You know what, handcuff this man and throw him inside jail. I want to see how big he can talk tomorrow when he sleeps on the hard floor at night."
The two policemen behind Zane chuckled as they approached Zane.
"Don't worry boss, we will handle this guy, you can't put a guy like this inside one of our free jail. He would disturb us all night."
"He probably would be crying out for his mama to come save him!"
The policeman at the right, gestured as he walked to Zane.
Everyone burst out laughing.
The police man at the left voices out as he moves his hand to Zane's shoulder.
"You heard the chief, pal. You're sleeping in jail tonight."
The policeman's hands were about to make contact with Zane's face when Zane turned to him with a blow heading to the man's face. Before the man could comprehend the motion, Zane's blow landed on his face and he fell flat on the ground. The police man at the right wanted to fetch his gun out but Zane was too quick for him. Before he could move his hand to reach for his gun, Zane punched him heavily on his face and he collapsed to the ground with several of his teeth on the floor.
The motion caused an uproar in the police station.
Every policeman standing far away quickly brought their guns out and aimed it at Zane, including the chief.
"You have done it! You drunk bastard! Now you are going to spend your remaining worthless life in Jail."
Zane turned to face the chief without feeling any of the pressure on the station.
"Your time is up."
Zane simply said to the chief.
