Urban Wolf King

Chapter 529: Bewitched and Frenzied

Behind Wu Xie, the giant tree, which even ten people couldn't encircle, seemed to have grown for hundreds of years. Numerous roots were intertwined and entrenched in the earth, as if the entire mountain could collapse, yet this giant tree would still stand firm.

However, Wang Yan's shot unexpectedly caused the giant tree to explode up, uprooted entirely, and soared into the sky.

In mid-air, the giant tree suddenly splintered into pieces, the massive trunk transforming into shards of wood, and the branches and twigs on the trunk split apart, breaking into segments of wood debris.

These wood shards were blasted skyward like wooden arrows, "whoosh whoosh," shooting toward Wu Xie.

Flying in the air, Wu Xie thought he was safe, but he had no idea that tens of thousands of branches and wood fragments were flying toward him from below.

The speed of these wood fragments and broken branches was extremely astonishing, even more terrifying than his countless flying knives.

Wu Xie was startled, his wings shook behind him, urgently flying higher into the sky, needing to swiftly evade these deadly attacks from behind.

But just then, after the Heaven-Shocking Giant Wolf blasted the giant tree into the air, it crashed into the ground.

The entire ground trembled violently upon impact, and the nearby forest shook intensely, birds erupted from the trees, fleeing into the distance.

Looking at the ground again, a giant abyss appeared, incredibly deep and bottomless, and the surrounding earth cracked open, spreading outward, forming spider web patterns all across the ground.

That wasn't all; a gigantic mushroom cloud suddenly rose from the bottom of the abyss, carrying countless sand and stones, shooting towards the sky.

In the high sky, Wu Xie, desperately flapping his wings to escape, was continually dodging the fragments of the giant tree, never expecting the mushroom cloud filled with sand and stones would come flying over.

Wu Xie wanted to evade, but the mushroom cloud was too swift and fierce, enveloping the giant tree and Wu Xie in an instant.

Wu Xie felt a powerful airflow rushing towards him, his body suddenly akin to a leaf in a tornado, entirely unable to control himself.

Even fiercely shaking his wings couldn't rid him of the giant wind's control; Wu Xie was only blown away to the sky by the massive wind.

Within the mushroom cloud, sand and stones flew chaotically, instantly blinding Wu Xie, while the branches of the giant wood still continuously pierced towards him.

Wu Xie not only became blind but was immediately plunged into danger.

Standing by watching, Hu Wei was suddenly stunned.

He stared blankly at the mushroom cloud rising to the sky in front of him, continually growing bigger, his mouth agape, thinking: What is this? Is this a nuclear blast? Am I dreaming today, seeing these King Tier Soul Stars and this amazing move? Damn! I better rub my eyes and take another look.

Hu Wei rubbed his eyes, lifted his head again, and looked at the mushroom cloud in the sky.

Sure enough, upon another look, the mushroom cloud in the sky was truly gone, leaving only a hazy grey mist.

Just when Hu Wei breathed a sigh of relief, he suddenly felt fine sand particles falling from the sky, his eyes widened to see, and they all fell into his eyes.

Hu Wei hurriedly closed his eyes, already filled with countless sand grains, rubbing so he couldn't open his eyes.

It was then that Hu Wei realized the mushroom cloud was no illusion, completely real as the sandy soil rushed into the sky, then started falling, coinciding with him having his eyes wide open, causing them to fall in his eyes.

Hu Wei cursed himself inwardly: Idiot, why did you look with wide open?

But Hu Wei was eager to know Wu Xie's fate inside the enormous mushroom cloud, so he rubbed his eyes, barely managing to shed enough tears to force them open.

Though his eyes were bloodshot, and tears still flowed constantly, at least Hu Wei could finally see the scene in front of him.

Just then, all the sand slowly descended, leaving a complete mess before him.

The giant deep pit was bottomless, everywhere the cracked ground, spider web-like extending into the far-off areas.

In the distance, large trees as if blown by massive winds, all leaning toward one direction, their roots lifted from the ground, exposed above.

The previously peaceful forest now appeared like a hell on earth.

However, at that moment, Wu Xie was nowhere to be seen, only Wang Yan standing there, holding the Soul-Breaking Spear.

Hu Wei thought to himself: "Could Wu Xie have been killed?"

Just then, from the distant forest suddenly roared an angry voice: "Wang Yan, I will kill you, Second Soul Skill—"

With this roar, a figure soared into the sky, flying towards this side.

He saw the figure, wings spread from the back, it was indeed Wu Xie.

At this time, Wu Xie's whole body was covered in blood, clothes torn into holes, his face bruised and battered, as miserable as it could be.

Wu Xie was shouting angrily, his face full of hideous rage, complemented by the bruises and blood on his face, even more resembling a demon.

Seeing Wu Xie's frightening appearance, Hu Wei involuntarily shivered, and upon hearing the Second Soul Skill line, he didn't even think, instantly turned and ran, calling out while running: "Boss, run fast, Wu Xie's Second Soul Skill."

Before Hu Wei could finish, Wu Xie interrupted: "Haha, let me tell you, my Second Soul Skill, Intoxicating Frenzy."

Upon hearing this, Hu Wei ran even faster, thinking in terror: "Indeed it's Intoxicating Frenzy, if I don't run now it's too late."

Running, Hu Wei shouted back: "Boss, if you don't run now it's too late."

But when Hu Wei looked back, he saw Wang Yan still standing there, not moving at all.

Hu Wei couldn't help but stamp his feet repeatedly, but he dared not turn back to pull Wang Yan.

Hu Wei knew that even if he went back, it would be futile, and he would be dragged down as well. Because Wu Xie's Intoxicating Frenzy completely ignored all defenses.

Finally reaching the mountaintop, Hu Wei looked down the mountain.

He saw that the entire mountain below was covered in a thin green mist, and this mist had completely enveloped Wang Yan.

Wu Xie stood outside the green mist, watching Wang Yan inside with cold, vengeful satisfaction.

"Wang Yan, as long as you inhale even a trace of my toxic mist, you will die in frenzy, humph, let's see what escape method you have now?"

Saying this, Wu Xie waved his hand, and the green toxic mist immediately surged, rushing towards Wang Yan.
