Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 764: Go Get It from the Trash Can

Leaning on the sofa, Chu Ge watched Song Baijia wolfing down the food, and a rather mischievous thought started to emerge in his mind.

Next time I treat Brother Song to a meal, why not just take him to a self-service restaurant?

Hmm, I wonder what expression the owner of the buffet would have after seeing Brother Song eat? Haha...

As Chu Ge was thinking, he suddenly heard a sarcastic voice coming from behind, "Oh, who left the pigpen open and let this pig out? Look at all those plates on the table, quite the eater, huh?"

Chu Ge had just heard this voice; his impression was naturally deep, but he didn't turn around, only slightly furrowed his brow and curved his lips into a cold smile.

The same voice reached Song Baijia's ears, and he wasn't as calm as Chu Ge. He was just about to pick up a piece of grilled meat, but his hand paused immediately. He looked up to his direct front.

In his line of sight were two young men, one wearing a white shirt and black trousers with a manager badge on his chest, and the other was unexpectedly the lackey who spoke rudely to him at the entrance earlier.

Song Baijia's face changed instantly. When he followed Chu Ge in, he really hoped they wouldn't run into these people, but things didn't go his way—they encountered them after all.

Even though those South Korean people weren't visible beside the lackey, Song Baijia knew that since the lackey had appeared, those South Korean people were likely on this floor too. He couldn't help but feel a little regret—if only he had left earlier instead of ordering those forty plates of jerky.

The most awkward person at this moment was undoubtedly the manager beside the lackey. He was just about to tell the lackey that the two at this table were the ones they were looking for, but before he could speak, the lackey blurted out such a remark.

And... judging by the looks of it, the lackey and the guests at that table clearly knew each other from before and weren't on good terms with each other.

Sighing quietly, the manager whispered to the lackey, "That's the table that ordered forty plates of grilled beef tenderloin."

The lackey, provocatively eyeing Song Baijia and waiting for Chu Ge to turn around, was momentarily stunned upon hearing this. He glanced at the two food carts beside the table, indeed seeing them stacked with grilled beef tenderloin.

His first reaction was that Chu Ge and they weren't just two people. Even if the dish portions here were not large, with only a few pieces of meat on each plate, wasn't ordering forty plates for two people a bit over the top?

While the lackey was scanning the surroundings, Chu Ge smiled at Song Baijia, "Brother Song, keep eating, don't let a barking dog spoil your appetite or mood."

"Damn! Who are you calling?" The lackey was furious, pointing at Chu Ge and striding over.

His earlier remark was meant to insult Chu Ge in the same way, but the person simply didn't take the bait. Even though he knew Chu Ge was doing it on purpose, he couldn't hold back the anger in his chest.

Seeing the situation, the Shangpin manager quickly stopped the lackey, "Sir, please calm down. Let's talk this out."

As he spoke, he gestured to a few nearby waiters, not wanting any trouble here that would affect their business.

Chu Ge slowly raised his glass and took a sip of beer, snorting a laugh from his nose with his back to the lackey, "A lackey is always a lackey, never tired of insults, a dog can never change its habits... whatever, so many people are eating here, the dog knows in its heart."

Hearing this, several guests at nearby tables couldn't help but laugh.

"You... you..." The lackey was even more exasperated, his face turning beet red, wanting nothing more than to grab a bottle and smash it over Chu Ge's head.

But after all, he was out on a mission, with those South Korean bosses waiting for grilled meat, and right now, it seemed like the only source was from Chu Ge's table. He finally clenched his fist fiercely, took a deep breath, and held back the curse words.

Such a reaction from the lackey surprised Chu Ge slightly, but he couldn't be bothered to figure out why this guy didn't explode. He crossed his legs and casually put a cigarette he bought today from the bar into his mouth, deftly playing with a lighter but not lighting it.

Song Baijia was also starting to lose his appetite, not because he was full but out of worry about what conflict might arise next. He glanced at Chu Ge, then at the meat on the cart, and finally at the gloomy-faced lackey, feeling an indescribable mix of emotions.

No one spoke, and the once pleasant atmosphere turned somewhat oppressive. Eventually, it was the lackey who couldn't hold back, approaching Chu Ge's table with a look of disgust, motioning towards the beef tenderloin on the two carts with his right thumb.

"Did you order all this meat?"

Chu Ge toyed with the lighter, lounged on the sofa shaking his crossed legs, and didn't so much as glance at the lackey, as if he wasn't there at all.

The lackey was infuriated, tilting his chin up and furrowing his brow tightly, "You mother..."

Seeing signs of the lackey blowing up, Song Baijia quickly asked, "It's ours. Do you have any issues?"

The lackey took a deep breath and turned his gaze to Song Baijia, assertively saying, "Give me ten plates."

"This..."

Song Baijia hesitated a bit. Those ten plates of meat were quite pricey, not to mention the lackey's high-and-mighty attitude rubbed him the wrong way.

"What's with the hesitation? You won't have to pay for these ten plates."

The lackey glanced impatiently at Song Baijia, not taking the insulted and silent Song Baijia seriously at all. As for Chu Ge, who remained silent on the other side, he just assumed Chu Ge was in agreement.

Acting all high and mighty, the lackey turned his head and waved over a nearby waiter, "Hey you, come over and push the cart for me."

As the waiter walked over, Chu Ge finally spoke, but it wasn't to the lackey. Instead, he looked at Song Baijia with a grin, "Brother Song, are you full?"

Song Baijia forced a smile, "Yeah…"

Chu Ge nodded, "Alright, since you're full, then this meat is useless now."

The lackey curled his lip disdainfully, a sneer appearing on his face, "I thought some people had guts, but turns out after all that talk, they finally couldn't keep it up, huh?"

Chu Ge still ignored the lackey's sarcastic remarks. By this time, the waiter had come over, looking awkwardly at Chu Ge and reaching for the service cart. She had just received a two-hundred-yuan tip from Chu Ge and had a very good impression of him. If possible, she really didn't want to do this task.

Just as the waiter was about to touch the service cart, Chu Ge spoke softly, "Wait a minute."

The lackey frowned, and Song Baijia's face turned bitter. Although he hadn't dealt with Chu Ge much, he had realized Chu Ge wasn't someone with a good temper. Chu Ge dared to hit a cop in the police station; how could he be easygoing now?

"Bro, you…"

Before Song Baijia could finish, Chu Ge smiled at the waiter, who had stopped by the service cart, "Could you please bring the cleaning cart over?"

The waiter didn't question anything, responded, and turned to leave. The lackey raised an eyebrow, "Kid, what do you mean?"

Chu Ge yawned nonchalantly. The more laid-back he seemed, the more nervous Song Baijia felt. The last time, before Chu Ge made a move against that cop, he was just like this, grinning, and who would've thought he'd act so suddenly?

"Bro, what are you planning to do? Let's just leave, forget about it."

Chu Ge remained smiling without saying a word, sitting leisurely on the sofa, not moving until the waiter came back with the cleaning cart. Then he stood up from the sofa, walked to the place between the service cart and the cleaning cart, and turned his head to look at the lackey.

"Right, what did you just say, want to take ten plates of meat from us?"

The lackey squinted his eyes, speaking coldly: "What of it? You have a problem with that?"

Chu Ge smiled faintly, putting a lighter on the table, then took a plate of meat from the service cart and handed it over to the lackey.

The lackey looked at Chu Ge coldly, neither taking the plate of meat nor speaking.

Chu Ge knew this would be his reaction and turned around to dump the meat from the plate into the cleaning cart's trash bin.

Even though when Chu Ge asked the waiter to bring the cleaning cart, the lackey had a vague guess, but when he saw Chu Ge actually doing it, his expression changed as his gaze became even more sinister, "Kid, do you know what you are doing?"

Chu Ge snorted through his nose, picked up another plate, and once again extended it to the lackey.

The lackey still didn't take it, glaring viciously at Chu Ge. If looks could kill, Chu Ge would have been torn to pieces.

Chu Ge remained silent, holding the plate in front of the lackey for a couple of seconds, then turned and dumped the meat into the trash again.

"Kid, if you've got the guts, dump all the meat, but … I guarantee you'll regret it!"

"Bro, what are you doing, this…this is such a waste, just give it to him if he wants it, let's go."

Ignoring both the lackey's blatant threat and Song Baijia's advice, Chu Ge picked up another plate. This time he didn't even hand it to the lackey, simply dumped the meat straight into the trash.

This was already the third plate Chu Ge had dumped, then he picked up a fourth, a fifth… an eighth, a ninth, a tenth.

"Rustle"

When the beef loin from the tenth plate was dumped into the trash can, Chu Ge didn't go for another plate but instead touched his nose and gave a slight smile to the lackey.

"Ten plates of meat, it's all here, if you want to eat, then eat? As a dog, scavenging for food in the trash is only natural, right?"

"Fuck you!" The lackey erupted in anger and finally couldn't hold back, throwing a punch at Chu Ge.

Chu Ge let out a cold snort, grabbing the lackey's incoming fist with one swift move, exerting slight pressure with his fingers, causing the lackey to wail in pain.
