Chapter 180 Are You Sick?

"Big brother, I've already taken a huge risk telling you guys this. If I take you there, and the village elder finds out, he'd beat me to death! No, no," said the young man fearfully.

"Heh heh, you won't take us, huh! Do you know why I didn't give you cash just now and transferred the money instead?" Zhu Bufan chuckled maliciously.

"You…" The young man had a sudden enlightenment. It was proof, indeed. The sharp-faced and monkey-cheeked young man was not stupid; he understood as soon as Zhu Bufan said it. Zhu Bufan did this as evidence to blackmail him.

"Little brother, actually, you don't need to be afraid. If you just quietly bring us there, we won't say who took us. That way, your village elder won't know it was you, and you'll also get a benefit of thirty thousand. Why wouldn't you? What do you say? Little brother," Zhu Bufan said while looking at the young man.

The sharp-faced and monkey-cheeked young man lowered his head to ponder for quite a while before he said, "Alright! I'll take you there. Meet me at the entrance of our village at 5:30 tomorrow morning. But, you have to pay me fifteen thousand first today!"

"No problem!" After saying that, Zhu Bufan immediately transferred another fifteen thousand into the sharp-faced and monkey-cheeked young man's account.

Having received the money, the young man then left his phone number for Zhu Bufan but did not say another word before leaving.

After the young man had left, Zhu Bufan went over to the small table where Tang Qingcheng was sitting and started slurping down instant noodles, thoroughly enjoying himself.

"Zhu Bufan, are you sick in the head?" said Tang Qingcheng, her mood extremely irritable. Although she knew the place she had to go, she had no idea about the specific location. Meanwhile, Zhu Bufan was there, enjoying his food with relish, which was incredibly annoying to her.

"Heh heh, what? You got medicine? I'll take as much as you have," Zhu Bufan grinned and chuckled.

"Zhu Bufan, you really are sick!"

"You really have medicine! I'll take as much as you have!"

"You…" Tang Qingcheng's anger surged, and she grabbed the instant noodles Zhu Bufan was still eating and threw them away.

"You're the sick one!" Zhu Bufan retorted.

"Wuu wuu..." Suddenly, Tang Qingcheng broke down crying.

Her morning's attempts at inquiry had nearly driven Tang Qingcheng to the breaking point. She was used to being an inaccessible goddess, but today she found herself humbly asking others for information. For her father's sake, she was willing to ask, but after a whole morning, not a single person was willing to answer her. This dealt a huge blow to someone who was normally an aloof goddess like Tang Qingcheng. It hurt her pride deeply.

Her own body had never been exposed to a man, but just yesterday evening, this bastard in front of her had seen it. If it weren't for him being useful to her father, Tang Qingcheng really would have wanted to take a knife to Zhu Bufan, but she couldn't.

All these things piling up, Tang Qingcheng couldn't hold back any longer and began to cry out loud.

Zhu Bufan was dumbfounded. What's going on with her? Meanwhile, the man in the mask had distanced himself from the two when the argument began, seemingly deliberately giving them space.

"Alright, alright, stop crying. We'll be able to go to Iron Coffin Mountain tomorrow," Zhu Bufan said, trying to console her.

"Are you serious? Do you really know how to get to Iron Coffin Mountain?" Upon hearing Zhu Bufan claim they could go to Iron Coffin Mountain tomorrow, Tang Qingcheng immediately stopped crying and shouted at him.

"Keep your voice down!" Zhu Bufan reminded her.

"Zhu Bufan, you better not be lying to me!" said Tang Qingcheng.

"If you don't believe me, then forget it. If I hadn't said anything, we wouldn't have to go tomorrow; we could just go back," Zhu Bufan said with a shrug.

Tang Qingcheng became even more agitated. How could this scoundrel not have the slightest bit of compassion for a woman? Moreover, I'm such a beautiful, aloof goddess.

"Fine! I believe you. Tell me exactly what's going on?"

In the early hours around eight in the morning, the sharp-faced and monkey-cheeked young man led Zhu Bufan and the other two up a mountain adjacent to Iron Coffin Mountain.

The air was fresh, invigorating the spirit. From time to time, the chirping of birds among the trees could be heard, as well as the croaking of frogs by the roadside. The expanses of green were a beautiful sight that lifted the spirits.

At this moment, the sharp-faced and monkey-cheeked young man suddenly stopped, "Big brother, big brother, I can only take you this far. That mountain there is the Iron Coffin Mountain you're looking for." The young man pointed, then turned and ran back the way he came.

Zhu Bufan did not stop the young man. Logically, there was still fifteen thousand he hadn't paid him. He ran so fast; was Iron Coffin Mountain truly that frightening?

Originally, Zhu Bufan thought the sharp-faced and monkey-cheeked young man would lead them to some random mountain and run off with the remaining fifteen thousand. Now it seemed the mountain the young man had pointed out was indeed Iron Coffin Mountain.

"Let's go!" Zhu Bufan spread his hands and said to Tang Qingcheng.

"Hmph!" Tang Qingcheng snorted coldly, displeased with Zhu Bufan's attitude.

After about ten minutes of walking, Zhu Bufan, Tang Qingcheng, and A-Nu arrived at the foot of Iron Coffin Mountain. Instantly, a tremendous suction force besieged them. They immediately felt their bodies uncontrollably drawn towards the mountain, as if compelled to rush inside.

Not only that, various strange sounds buzzed in their ears—like nightingales, crows, and human cries, as well as the sound of a baby's sobbing. Such noises could disturb one's peace of mind. If not for Zhu Bufan's exceptionally strong spiritual power, it was likely he too would have been ensnared.

Zhu Bufan struggled to stabilize his body against the mighty suction, then turned to look at Tang Qingcheng and A-Nu.

Remarkably, A-Nu remained completely calm and unmoved, swiftly grabbing Tang Qingcheng and then pressing two fingers directly on her forehead. Instantly, Tang Qingcheng, whose eyes were cloudy and bewildered, snapped back to awareness.

"Retreat!" A-Nu shouted forcefully, then effortlessly lifted Tang Qingcheng with one hand and dashed away, covering over a dozen meters in an instant. Without hesitation, Zhu Bufan also moved swiftly, but of course, his strength could not compare to A-Nu's—thus, it took Zhu Bufan two moves to reach A-Nu's side.

Observing this masked man, A-Nu, Zhu Bufan felt a wave of immense shock and reverence wash over him. No wonder he had been unable to fathom A-Nu; it turned out he possessed such formidable might.

"No wonder villagers who approach this place disappear without a reason; there is indeed a tremendous suction force here. This place is truly eerie!" Zhu Bufan spoke, then immediately activated his Supreme Eyes to survey the surroundings.

A-Nu, too, was carefully observing the mountain.

The farthest distance Zhu Bufan's Supreme Eyes could penetrate was about two kilometers. The diameter of the mountain was around five kilometers, meaning that Zhu Bufan still couldn't see it in its entirety.

Zhu Bufan employed his Supreme Eyes to continuously scan the interior of Iron Coffin Mountain.

He noticed a faint mist intermittently wrapping around the middle of the mountain. Peering through this mist with his Supreme Eyes, Zhu Bufan saw a large base, akin to a laboratory, located at the peak of Iron Coffin Mountain.

Around the exterior of the base, a dozen people dressed in camouflage fatigues and armed with submachine guns stood guard. Looking beyond them through his Supreme Eyes, Zhu Bufan could see researchers in white lab coats busying themselves back and forth.

Outside this base was an area resembling a sacrificial altar, in the center of which lay a large black disc spinning at high velocity. With just a glance, Zhu Bufan felt an overwhelming force drawing him towards this disc.

Zhu Bufan had to immediately shift his gaze away.

Surrounding the large disc were several stakes, to which a few strong, youthful men were bound. These men were in an odd state, emitting a faint Demonic Qi that felt strangely familiar to Zhu Bufan, as if he had encountered it somewhere before.

Just then, a helicopter entered Zhu Bufan's view. He observed it landing on a clearing not far from the altar, and then saw a man disembarking from the helicopter—a man who seemed shockingly familiar and who nearly claimed Zhu Bufan's life not long ago. It was Black Tiger.

Zhu Bufan was puzzled; how could Black Tiger be here? Then, he remembered the young men tied to the stakes, exuding that same Demonic Qi.

Could this be the Demonized Base?

Then recalling the previous battle with Black Tiger and the Demonic Qi he released after his Demonization, Zhu Bufan's eyelids flickered. Black Tiger's might had left a deep impression on his mind; if not for Dongfang Weimei, he would probably be on his way to report to Yama Hall by now. There were no doubts—this was the Demonized Base.

"We should leave this place, Tang Qingcheng, Uncle A-Nu," Zhu Bufan retracted his gaze and spoke.

"Why should we leave? Are you scared?" Tang Qingcheng, who had come to her senses, objected to Zhu Bufan's proposal to leave.

"Zhu, have you discovered something?" A-Nu asked, gazing intently at Zhu Bufan.

"Indeed, someone has likely established a Demonized Base here," confirmed Zhu Bufan directly.

"Demonized Base? What's that?" Tang Qingcheng looked at Zhu Bufan, confusion written all over her face.

"I'm not entirely sure myself. Earlier I clashed with a demonized person, and now I see him here. There are many people like him inside. I suspect this is a Demonized Base," Zhu Bufan explained. "Demonized people are extremely powerful. If someone hadn't helped me last time, I probably wouldn't be standing here now. So, we need to leave this place."

The more Tang Qingcheng heard, the more bewildered she became. She had never heard of demonized people or a Demonized Base before.

"Zhu Bufan, you just think this place is weird, don't you? You're scared, right? So, you're using this unheard-of thing as an excuse to leave this place," Tang Qingcheng, having never heard of such a thing, assumed Zhu Bufan was fabricating a story to deceive her and responded with annoyance.

"Can't be bothered to deal with you. If you won't go, I will. I don't plan on throwing my life away," said Zhu Bufan, exasperated. He had told her the truth, yet she thought he was deceiving her.

"You…" Tang Qingcheng stomped her foot in anger.

"Miss, please don't be upset," said A-Nu. "I have heard of what Zhu Bufan mentioned. Let's leave for now and decide what to do later."

At this moment, Zhu Bufan had already walked several steps away. Looking at Zhu Bufan's retreating back, Tang Qingcheng fumed with anger.

Why had Zhu Bufan chosen to leave? Having fought Black Tiger, he knew how suffocating it was to face a single demonized person. And here lay a Demonized Base, with an unknown number of demonized people inside. Marching further in would be a death sentence. Zhu Bufan was not afraid of death, but he would not throw his life away aimlessly.
