Chapter 1016: Located the Position

That knife, the knife that embodied all of Doro's qi, the knife infused with Fire Power, was lightly flicked and broken by Mr. R, the break as clean as if it had been cut by a sharp object. A chill rose from Doro's heart, as Mr. R's methods became more and more mysterious and unpredictable, and for the first time, a hint of fear appeared in the once-confident Doro.

This feeling was just like facing Mr. R years ago, but years of combat experience allowed Doro to make the most accurate choice. His body, which had been lunging forward, suddenly halted, and then with force from his feet, he retreated swiftly. While retreating, Doro also threw the broken knife toward Mr. R.

The broken knife tore through the air with a sharp whistle, slashing toward Mr. R's neck. Although this move was made in haste, Doro did not hold back at all, and it could even be said that it was more bizarre and unpredictable than the attacks he had meticulously devised.

"Explode!" While flying back, Doro saw the broken knife nearing Mr. R, and immediately roared to detonate the Fire Power compressed within the blade.

Rumble.

The sound of a thunderous explosion echoed out, red firelight shot up into the sky, instantly illuminating the dark mountaintop. The murderous aura that had covered the entire mountaintop was swept away by the powerful shock wave of the explosion. Those who had been restrained by the murderous aura and lost their ability to act suddenly felt a weight lifted from them and began to gasp for air.

Sorres, who was a bit further from Mr. R, felt a jolt of fear in his heart as he saw the towering flames rising, and his whole face immediately turned pale. He didn't expect that guy named Doro's means could be this powerful, just seeing his losing stance, yet he turned defeat into victory in an instant. The struggle between these two wasn't considered fierce but was full of changes, making it impossible for Sorres to judge who the victor was. But now, now that Mr. R was at the center of the explosion, even if Mr. R had heavenly abilities, he would be heavily injured.

Sorres was unwilling to accept his own guess, but given the situation, there was no other possibility except for this guess. Watching the flames still burning fiercely, Sorres tore his throat as he shouted, "Sir!" This shout was piercing to the extreme, and after shouting it, Sorres spat fresh blood and knelt on the ground. The master's honor was the servant's honor, the master dead left no reason for the servant to live.

The piercing shout spread across the entire mountaintop, and Jew, hiding in the forest, also heard Sorres's piercing voice, feeling a bad premonition rise in his heart as the murderous aura dissipated. Before Jew could figure out what was happening, a shadow flashed before his eyes. Just as the murderous aura disappeared, Yiyin, who was not far away, lunged toward Jew.

Purple electric light drew a bright arc in the darkness, and then Jew felt a numbness in his body, the doubts in his heart vanishing under the threat to his life. He barely activated the Wind Force within him to push himself back a short distance. He avoided the most vital parts, but the paralyzing sensation of the electric light entering his body made him extremely uncomfortable.

Before Jew could recover, Yiyin's body flickered, using the cover of the trees in the forest, and closed in on Jew once more. His attacks were extremely fierce and each strike aimed at Jew's vital parts. Even though Jew could dodge in the first instance, he couldn't avoid getting hurt overall, and in a short amount of time, his body was riddled with more than a dozen charred wounds, the blood vessels around the wounds cut off and blocked up, making these wounds swell and look utterly horrifying.

The numerous wounds on his body also affected Jew's speed. He didn't expect Yiyin's strikes to be so ruthless, nor did he expect the opponent to seize the moment of his daze to pounce. Now it was incredibly difficult to avoid Yiyin. Originally thinking he could heavily wound Yiyin with the cover of the forest, Jew had now ended up injured so severely himself.

Enduring the discomfort of numbness in his body, Jew's eyes flickered with a green light, looking at the pitch-black surroundings, knowing Yiyin was hiding nearby, but he couldn't find him. This Yiyin's skills in concealment were truly formidable; he even managed to fully restrain the aura of his body, only to explode when he made his move. Even so, Jew still had a way to find where Yiyin was hiding. After the initial awkward response, Jew finally calmed down and started using his superpowers.

Wind is caused by the flow of air, so unless Yiyin remained motionless, Jew could detect his position as soon as he moved. Not overconfident, Jew hurriedly released the remaining strange blades. The slight whizzing sounds echoed, faint blue light flickered on the blades, but in such a dark environment, this little light was useless.

Soon, the original faint blue light on the blades faded away, leaving only the incessant whizzing sounds echoing from the darkness, making it almost impossible to distinguish the direction from which the sounds were coming.

After setting this up, Jew leaned against a tree, regulating his slightly chaotic qi, then slightly squinted his eyes, releasing his Wind Force to sense the subtle changes in the surrounding air. He was not greedy, only investigating within a fifty-meter radius. Fifty meters was more than sufficient for a Wind Element superpower user who could act swiftly, and of course, it was sufficient for a Thunder Element superpower user like Yiyin as well.

Jew was not worried, leaning against the tree, carefully sensing the changes in the surrounding air. Since setting up all this, Yiyin hadn't moved, but Jew wasn't naive enough to think Yiyin had left. He knew the kind of patience people accustomed to walking in the dark possessed and that they wouldn't give up until they accomplished their goal, unless something startled them away. But what could happen in this forest?

While pondering Yiyin's hiding spot, Jew suddenly felt a change in the surrounding air, a serious look crossing his face, and he sent a blade slashing directly toward the area with a low whoosh. A simple and direct strike. In such darkness, there was no room for unnecessary fancy maneuvers, even for superpower users.

As Yiyin rapidly approached Jew, hearing the sound of the blade slicing through the air in the forest, his expression changed. Before he could react, he felt a cool sensation on his arm, followed by pain. He was injured. Yiyin was shocked; he didn't know how Jew could pinpoint his location in the dark. Yiyin could be sure Jew wasn't someone accustomed to the dark, let alone someone who was emitting any Energy Fluctuations, with even his aura fully restrained.

Yiyin didn't waste time pondering how Jew found him; seeing as his figure was exposed, he launched the most direct frontal attack. Jew, who wasn't hiding his Energy Fluctuations, was like a lamp in the darkness, dazzlingly obvious. Yiyin easily found out where Jew was.

Five electric arcs shot out, the twisting arcs carving erratic flight paths in the air, flying toward the dark place where Jew was. And after launching his attack, Yiyin instantly retracted his aura and Energy Fluctuations, melting once more into the darkness. He didn't believe Jew could find him with an attack interference ongoing.

The electric arcs were very fast, but their purple glow in the darkness was also very dazzling. Even without using Energy Fluctuations, Jew could clearly track the strange flight paths of the five electric arcs. His face remained emotionless, calmly observing, as if watching something ordinary. When the electric arcs closed to within ten meters of him, he reached out and clasped the void, and several beams of blue light materialized out of thin air, swiftly gathering before him into a Wind Barrier. But this Wind Barrier was not solid but soft like water. As soon as the five electric arcs touched it, the Wind Barrier instantaneously wrapped around the arcs, forming a Wind Ball. The swiftly swirling wind shredded the five electric arcs into pieces, the starlit hints of purple light dissipating in the sound of the wind, and the forest returned to a state of darkness.
