Chapter 317: There's Always Someone Stronger!
Downstairs from the X Film Entertainment Lingjin City branch office.
"This tiny entertainment company dares to trample all over my Sisi?" a young man said indignantly, his voice cold. "If I don't kill a bunch of them today, do they really think my Sisi is a pushover?"
"Young Master, we should just wipe out everyone in this company!" an old man beside him chimed in disdainfully.
The young man's expression shifted, his killing intent surging, but in the end, he waved his hand. "Sisi's concert tour is about to start, so this crappy company is still of some use for now. After her concert is over, I will settle the final score with them!"
"Right!" The old man nodded. "Then let's kill a few today to make an example of them."
These two were none other than Di An, Li Si's self-proclaimed childhood sweetheart, and the old man, who had both rushed over from Qiyun Road.
They had arrived in Lingjin City the day before. After a thorough investigation, they learned that X Film Entertainment was planning to introduce a newcomer at a party today to replace Li Si, so they rushed over immediately. Coupled with the online controversy surrounding Li Si over the past few days, Di An was seething with a rage so intense he felt he couldn't quell it without drawing some blood.
As they entered the main gate, they came face-to-face with two young men.
Di An naturally couldn't be bothered with them, but a snippet of their conversation made him stop dead in his tracks.
"Boss, all the heads of X Film Entertainment's Cangyun City headquarters have also been arrested! We're the company's largest shareholders now! I've already assigned a team to take over completely."
While Chen Yang had been teaching a lesson upstairs, Yang Hu hadn't been idle, ensuring everything was handled properly. He was now giving a brief report.
Chen Yang nodded. "With this, no one will be able to interfere with Sisi's concert."
"You, stop right there!"
Just as they were stepping out the main door, a furious shout erupted from behind them.
Huh?
Chen Yang and Yang Hu turned their heads.
The speaker was, of course, Di An.
Di An strode forward and planted himself in front of Chen Yang. "Who are you, and what is your relationship with my Sisi?"
His tone was cold, hostile, and left no room for argument.
Chen Yang raised an eyebrow.
Sisi? Is he talking about Li Si? What an intimate way to address her.
Yang Hu, standing beside him, immediately chuckled. "Kid, watch your tone."
"Answer my question!" Di An took another step forward. The old man followed closely, his deep-set eyes locked on Chen Yang and Yang Hu.
Chen Yang ignored him, shot him a glance, and turned to leave.
Di An was stunned for a moment, then let out a curse. He laughed coldly as he chased after Chen Yang and blocked his path.
"I'm talking to you. Are you deaf?" Di An said menacingly.
Chen Yang replied indifferently, "If you're talking about Li Si, we're friends. For her sake, I'll let this slide."
"Boyfriend and girlfriend?" Di An pressed.
"What's it to you?"
"Boy, watch your tone! Do you have any idea who you're talking to? And do you know who Miss Sisi is? You dare to be with her? Aren't you afraid of offending some powerful figure and ending up with a miserable death?" the old man behind Di An interjected coldly.
Di An waved his hand. "He's a friend of my Sisi's, after all. Watch your tone."
The old man let out a sinister cackle and said no more.
"I heard you say you solved the problem upstairs?" Di An sized up Chen Yang, his voice low. "You look ordinary, but you seem to have some skill."
"However, my man here was right. My Sisi is no ordinary person. If you get involved with her, you'll definitely come to a bad end."
Chen Yang remained expressionless. "We're just ordinary friends."
"Heh!" Di An scoffed, his face a mask of mockery. "Making excuses already? And you call yourself a man? Is that all the courage you have?"
Having no desire to argue further, Chen Yang pushed him aside and strode away.
"Hmph!"
The old man snorted, stepping forward and reaching out to pat Chen Yang's shoulder. "Don't be in such a hurry to leave. Since we're all friends of Miss Sisi, we should at least greet each other properly."
The old man's outstretched hand looked like it was going for an ordinary pat, but it contained a hidden force as heavy as a mountain. If an ordinary person were hit by it, they would suffer broken bones and torn tendons at the very least.
Di An brushed some dust off his clothes, a sneer playing on his lips.
"We should indeed greet each other properly and get acquainted..."
With his hands clasped behind his back, Di An spoke in support of the old man. A self-righteous punk like this needs to be taught a harsh lesson.
However, the old man's supposedly guaranteed strike came to a baffling halt a foot from Chen Yang's shoulder. No matter how much force he exerted, his hand wouldn't move an inch further.
Not only that, the old man looked as if he had been struck by a heavy blow, staggering back several steps as his face cycled through shades of green and red.
Huh?
Di An stared in astonishment. By the time he snapped out of it, Chen Yang had already walked a good distance away.
"What happened?" Di An was furious, his expression darkening. "You attacked, so why did you pull back halfway through?"
The old man's face was ashen. He clutched his right arm with his left, cold sweat beading on his forehead. "Young Master, I... I..."
As he was speaking...
CRACK.
Staring at his arm, which was suddenly drenched in blood, the old man's expression changed drastically. He staggered back several steps, nearly collapsing in terror. "How... how is this possible?" he stammered. "Could a master have attacked me from the shadows?"
"What did you say?!"
Di An scoffed and began to pace back and forth, laughing with rage. He had planned to teach the guy a lesson, to show him his own power. And the result?
THUD!
The old man could no longer stand and collapsed to the ground, vomiting mouthfuls of blood.
Di An's expression grew even gloomier. He had seen it clearly: the old man had initiated the attack, but that piece of trash hadn't so much as lifted a finger or even turned his head.
And just like that, my bodyguard was crippled? How... How did he do that?
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Di An would never have believed it.
COUGH. COUGH.
The old man struggled to his feet, covered in blood and looking utterly wretched.
Di An gritted his teeth, wanting to erupt in anger, but seeing his subordinate's state, he couldn't bring himself to be harsh. He bit down hard, his gaze fixed on the direction where Chen Yang had disappeared.
He was the one who had started the trouble, yet he was the one who had suffered a massive, humiliating loss. This injustice, piled on top of his existing anger, filled him with an immense frustration. His face flushed crimson, and his eyes filled with venomous resentment.
"Damn you, trash. You've successfully provoked me!" Di An retracted his gaze, a sharp, cold smirk twisting his lips. "Just you wait. We'll see how I deal with you!"
There was nothing he enjoyed more in life than challenging so-called experts. He took even greater pleasure in grinding those self-righteous fools under his heel, then looking down on them as they were forced into miserable submission.
"Just you wait!"
