Kentra had gone to get some snacks for his classmates.

As he headed back towards their destination, Musk Fashion Store, his hands were filled with bags. Placing fresh food like this in his space ring would not be ideal, so he was stuck carrying them.

Just as he approached the building, he spotted a sleek sportscar pull up to the store and out of it, dropped one of the most attractive humans he had ever seen.

He found it weird though, the guy was really handsome but he did not deserve that tag, but he was still left feeling like he did.

Natural Charm.

He concluded.

His attention was soon drawn to another spot as a young master was receiving a piercing from the young man he tried to humiliate.

This sight would always be funny.

He turned to continue towards the building but paused as he sighted Star approaching the handsome young man who had dropped from the sportscar.

Star was a high level student in his class and she was a great beauty with her stunning yet cute figure paired with her delicate facial features that held her alluring blue eyes and wet small lips. Her long light blue curly hair just served to improve this beauty of hers.

"Woah. He attracted her... His charm must be off the charts." He muttered to himself with a smile.

Then, a frown crept up his face.

He had glossed over the guy before, but now that he was scrutinizing him, he was developing a sense of dread towards him.

What is she doing? That is clearly a prodigy.

Kentra almost shouted out loud at his classmate.

Then, he paused, she might actually not know that.

His secondary ability, [ Clarity ], allowed him to be able to tell that the young man was strong. Unreasonably so. To what extent, he could not tell, but he felt he might not necessarily win against the handsome dude in a one on one fight.

That says a lot of the young man's strength to be able to fight a talented Senar User like him.

As he was thinking through the situation, his other classmate, Pear, entered the fray.

"No, no, no. That sharp mouth." He dropped the bags as he ran over.

Pear was also a beauty, black to brown hair balanced on her beautiful face. Her body boasted crystal-clear soft skin engraved on an athletic frame. But her mouth was not a thing of beauty, so was her anger fuse.

And just as he feared.

"Hey you, handsome devi..."

She butted in their interaction.

Contrary to his expectation though, the young man was not the one who got annoyed and went on the offensive.

Rather, it was Pear.

"The most prestigious? Woah! Then, why are its students so weak?" The young man asked with innocence written over his face.

"Ha." A sign sounded. Then a weak, "here we go again."

Followed by,

Boom!!!

Pear lashed out.

In the span of a moment, a huge bubble of water formed in front of her. Then, water shot forth from it in the form of a pressurized stream targeted at the handsome devil.

The pressure stream enveloped him, it was shot in an angle that ensured it took just him and no one else in the vicinity. Not even his colleague that stood just a small distance away.

The stream continued unimpeded on its path as it hit the energy barrier of the opposing building.

The collision caused the resulting boom that drew the attention of everyone in the vicinity.

"Pear!" Star shouted in shock.

"What? He disrespected us and our school." Pear shot back at her.

"Seriously?" Kentra finally reached them.

"What?" She glared at him. "I didn't attack to kill him, the attack was not much. It is just enough to ensure his Senar Initiate ass pays some respect to our school name next time he hears it."

"Ha." Kentra signed as he summoned his weapon type Core, a dual axe. "Only if things were that simple."

"Yep. If only."

The trio turned to look at the handsome devil's colleague.

"Hi, I am Simons." Simons introduced himself, "and the person you just attacked was His Eminence Saquin."

"His Eminence?" Star's eyes narrowed into slits.

"Tch. I see. A spoiled brat. Would explain his smug face." Pear hissed.

"Nah, your subpar strength is what makes my face smug." Saquin walked over from the opposing street, unscathed.

"Oh, I see. You have some strength, let us see what you are capable of." Pear dropped into a battle stance as her aura skyrocketed. Water droplets pooled around her as a streamlined jumpsuit manifested on her figure.

"Pear, calm down. His words do not warrant a fight." Kentra stepped in front of her.

While Star called out to Saquin. "Hey Saquin, I am Star." Star introduced herself. She pointed at Pear. "My friend can be like this sometimes, but she meant no harm. Can we just calm down and talk it out?"

"I would like to talk to you all day long, Star." Saquin pointed at Pear. "But, she attacked me for no reason, so I am not so sure."

"No reason?!" Pear angrily shouted.

"Yep. You came to me and spat in my face, then after a short exchange of words, you decided to attack me for my honesty." Saquin said with righteousness.

"He is really good at this." Simons shook his head in exhaustion. Earlier, Saquin had been watching videos on how to ragebait people, and it seemed he was a stellar student.

"His acting is convincing too."

"Yea, not too much, not too small."

The onlookers also seemed to think so.

Kentra and Star could also now tell he was baiting her to a fight. It seemed he took offense from Pear's first sentence and is baiting her into a fight because of it.

"Honesty? You bastard!" Pear spat out as she prepared to go on the offensive.

But before she could.

"She is about to attack me. This is self defense." Saquin beat her to it.

He opened the had he pointed at her and clenched it back. He did it too fast, just right after he said those words that drew Pear's attention, if only for a moment. But that moment was more than enough.

Pear's eyes widened in fear as she felt a forced wrap around her immediate surroundings and closed in on her.

She was a Ranger, she did not have the necessary speed to escape it or innate durability to survive such a cruel, perfectly timed attack.

Just as she was about to expel a significant amount of her Senar reserve for a skill that would enable her escape and retaliation, Kentra came in clutch.

A kick to her stomach pushed her away from Saquin's telekinetic attack area.

In the same motion, he utilized the counter force generated from the kick to stay mid air, and his dual axes swung through the air towards Saquin's direction.

Two red blade energy was generated from the attack, but Saquin was no longer present at that spot.

"What?!" Kentra's eyes widened in surprise.

Saquin had reached their side, a kick was delivered to Pear, who received it with both of her arms as guards.

Kentra did not need to hear the crack to know her arm was broken, he could literally see her arm bend the wrong way from the attack.

Saquin was not done with the offense though. He also used the counter force from the kick, his figure closing in on Kentra.

Saquin opened and clenched his hand as he closed in.

Kentra felt his dual axe leave his grasp as they flew in to attack him.

He ignored them as his hands beamed red, he brought them down towards the incoming Saquin.

As his axe closed on his chest, they disappeared as he unsummoned them.

- I have Telekinesis.

Saquin mouthed these words to him as Kentra watched him swerve to the side mid air and repositioned himself to his side, completely dodging Kentra's attack in the process.

A heavy punch connected to Kentra's face.

Damn, he is super strong.

Kentra thought this as he activated his ability.

Saquin, still mid air, turned to face Star and flashed her a smug grin.

Just then, he felt an indescribable force in the surroundings.

Then.

Saquin eyes widened in surprise.

"Interesting." He muttered as he stretched out his right hand.

The two red blade energy stopped in their tracks and were crushed as soon as he clenched his hands.

A smile was on his face as stared at Kentra.

One moment, Pear was crumpled on the ground with a broken arm, and Kentra was reeling from a punch. The next, Pear was flying backward from the initial kick, her arm whole, and Kentra was still mid-air, his axes in hand

"He reversed my actions." Saquin muttered to himself in fascination. "Time affinity."

"Hahaha." He let out a short laugh. Then, "Reverse this."

He directed both of his hands at them, then a tremendous amount of blue Senar burst forth from him.

Kentra was shaken. "What the fuck? How can a Senar Initiate..."

He did not complete his statement as he felt get grabbed.

It felt like an unbreakable chain had bound him.

Same with Pear.

They could not move, they were completely restricted.

As soon as Star felt the huge Senar bursting forth from Saquin, she decided to intervene.

But before she could.

She felt a presence close in.

"He's here." She muttered under her breath.

"Who?" Saquin tilted his head. He heard her.

At that moment, he did not need to ask that question again as he felt his vicinity go dark.

He was encased in a dark sphere.

And from the sphere, he could feel an inexplicable dread.

This was not Shadow.

This was Darkness.

And he was not sticking around to fuck with it.

Before the newcomer, who was hovering mid air could process it, Saquin disappeared.

He reappeared by Simons side and placed his hand on his shoulder. "We are dipping."

"See you guys later... Preferably outside the city." Saquin pointed at the Pear, Kentra and the newcomer.

To Star. "See you later, Star." He smiled as his form vanished.

"Who was that?" The classmates were left questioning themselves.

"Someone you guys should not have messed with." The newcomer said to them.

"We didn't though. It was more like he messed with us. A Mid-Level Senar Initiate played with us Senar Users." Kentra heaved a sigh.

"We didn't go all out, not even close." Pear scoffed.

"So did he." Kentra snickered.
