Chapter 245: Soul Genesis Nexus
Chapter 245: Soul Genesis Nexus
"Just know that doing something like that will give me something that will allow me to get more of those enlightened chaotic beasts and more amazing things," Aleron smiled.
"It must be related to that strange power inside you," Lavia said.
"Yep."
"So it's about gamble, eh? Very strange, but alright. We shall help with that," Chronis, the Eternal of Time and Sands, said with a smile. "We shall prepare challenging activities."
Aleron was a bit excited. These Eternals had higher access to powers and knew many things, so they were bound to give him thrilling challenges that could earn him more Gacha Points via Gamble Quests!
"Shall we go now, brother Aleron?" Umbros, the Eternal of Shadows and Secrets said with anticipation.
"Let's go."
...
They emerged into a realm unlike anything Aleron had ever seen. The ground was a shifting mass of energy, glowing with ethereal light. The sky was a swirling vortex of colors, constantly shifting between dark purples, violent reds, and piercing whites. In the distance, massive orbs of soul energy floated, each one a core of raw power.
"This is it," Lavia said softly. "The Soul Genesis Nexus."
Aleron nodded, taking in the strange, almost surreal beauty of the place. He could feel it already the pressure on his soul, the way the energy tried to pull at his very essence. But he stood firm, his Genome Tree providing him with the necessary resistance.
"Now," Terramis said, turning to face Aleron, "you'll need to focus on refining your soul. This place will help, but it will also test your limits. You must endure."
Aleron nodded, his eyes glinting with determination.
Without hesitation, he sat down, crossing his legs as he entered a meditative state. The moment he did, the energy of the Nexus surged toward him, flooding his body and soul with overwhelming force. His cells, already supercharged with Body Ki, began to resonate with the energy, but it was his soul that was the real target.
As the energy flowed through him, Aleron's mind was flooded with visions-memories, fragments of his past, glimpses of possible futures, and visions unrelated to him, trying to replace him. It was as though the very fabric of his soul was being unraveled and rewoven in real-time.
"Focus," Luxara, the Eternal of Light and Illumination spoke, her soft voice piercing through the chaos, guiding him. "Don't let the energy overwhelm you. Let it flow, but keep your core intact."
Aleron gritted his teeth, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he fought to maintain control. The pressure on his soul was immense, but his training, his battles, and his relentless drive to grow stronger were more powerful than that.
Aleron was using this purest kind of soul power to refine his soul. Each second he refined it, his soul got more powerful, surging with more power and energy.
After an hour, he had stabilized, and his expression was serene. The flood of energy was in his control as he began refining his soul at a certain pace.
Another hour passed by as his Soul stat finally reached 50.
"Alright, let's pause for here. We've prepared a challenge for you," Thaloran, the Eternal of Oceans and Depths said to Aleron.
Right as he finished speaking, a deep rumble echoed through the Nexus. Aleron opened his eyes to see a massive creature materializing in the distance-a chaotic beast of immense size, its form constantly shifting as it drew power from the Nexus itself.
Unlike the other chaotic beasts Aleron had faced, this one radiated a different kind of energy -soul energy and one more additional energy that he wasn't familiar with, Genesis energy.
"That's a Soul Warden," Terramis said, his voice low. "It guards the core of this realm. We've awakened it for you while suppressing its power just enough to give you trouble and some nightmares if you lose."
"You have to use all of your foundational arsenal of powers to defeat it. This is also a chance where your second Mystic Path will start shaping up."
Aleron stood up, his body still glowing as he coated himself with Body Ki and his Magic Prints ready. He could feel his soul straining under the pressure, but he wasn't about to back down.
"Alright then," Aleron said, a grin with thrill forming. "Let's see what this Soul Warden's got."
'I gamble that I will defeat this soul warden in one minute.'
[Gamble Quest accepted.]
'What? 15,000 gacha points?!' Aleron was stunned. It had been a while seen he saw this many gacha points as a reward.
'This is going to be fun.'
The Soul Warden roared, its form rippling as it charged toward Aleron with blinding speed. Aleron's body surged with power as his Body Ki flared to life, and he shot forward like a comet, meeting the beast head-on.
The battle was intense, a dance of power and will. The Soul Warden unleashed waves of soul attacks, each one riling his soul and body, subjecting him to shifting realities to shatter his focus, to tear Aleron's soul apart, but he stood firm, his will unbreakable.
A minute was about to pass, and Aleron went all out with his final, earth-shattering punch, his fist empowered by two level 7 Magic Prints, named Hanuman' Might who in one of the legends of his previous world had devoured the sun as a child out of curiosity, and almost brought the destruction of the world, and second Magic Pring being Argon Light, a Magic Print with the effect of snuffing out all impure, negative, and harmful thoughts and increasing attack.
On top of that, he also used a Mystic Skill: Astral Layer Gauntlets.
The intense clash shook and shifted all the colors and phenomena of this realm, his fist releasing such a powerful impact that it pierced through the Soul Warden's core, shattering it into fragments of light. The beast let out a final roar before dissolving into the energy of the
Nexus.
[Gacha Quest completed.]
Lavia smiled, and the other Eternals exchanged knowing glances.
"We have some games in mind. Let's see if you can keep up with our challenges."
Aleron's grin widened. "Bring it on."
"Yep, but we'll do that after you increase your Soul stat by 10. Each increment of 10,
sometimes 20, and we'll play a challenging game."
"Sounds great!"
