Chapter 230: Special Paragon Class, Cruel World
Chapter 230: Special Paragon Class, Cruel World
The competition was already over for Aleron, Luna, and Kira.
They watched until the end before the ten finalists gathered, and those who lost were sent away.
The big shots who watched from the sky on their fancy chairs that looked like thrones left along with elders and branch masters.
Since Lilisa was Branch Master in the Desolate City and Paragon-rank powerhouses must stay in this 1st Region of Chaosverse, she took the ten winners along with Shelby back to the city, in the huge palace corporated into a small mountain of Proper Path Alliance branch.
"From now on, you are members of Proper Path Alliance and part of the Special Paragon Class," Lilisa said as she crossed her arms under her breasts, "You will be allowed to go into a Dungeon and get resources from the alliance as long as you complete the tasks given to you." "For now, this is the place where you will live, on this open floor of the Palace," Lilisa smiled. They were in the upper part of the mountainous palace, with green ground, a streaming river, and a bunch of pavilions. This mountainous palace was truly big, spanning 100 kilometers of height and 30 kilometers wide at the base before becoming uneven as one went higher.
In this particular East-Residental belonging to the Special Paragon Class, the pavilions were not the same size.
The pavilions were built in sections.
"As you can see, the pavilions are built purposefully this way, and their sizes and perks you get with it also vary. The S-rank area has at the top only one pavilion, the fancy one you are seeing that looks like a small castle two kilometers away."
"A-rank area has five pavilions."
"B-rank Area has fifteen pavilions."
"These three areas are occupied by other Paragon-rank powerhouses that we have recruited like you," Lilisa's eyes sharply glinted, "C-rank and D-rank areas have empty pavilions."
"Until you are able to break through to Unbound rank, you will live here and progress, complete tasks, and get opportunities. All I can tell you is the better your pavilion, the faster you'll progress and the more benefits you'll get, so fight for your place here."
"Good luck. Oh, and Aleron, Shelby isn't allowed to fight in your place to win the pavilion." After saying that, Lilisa simply left, leaving them to their own device.
"Since we are more people, we'll need a bigger pavilion," Aleron grinned as he looked at the biggest and fanciest pavilion at the furthest in the S-rank area.
"Aleron, if you don't mind, can Kira live with us?" Luna asked.
Aleron looked at Kira, who looked like a teenage girl with small skin-colored horns with red tips. "I don't mind, but what race are you, Kira?" Aleron curiously asked.
"I am Majin race," Kira said with a cute smile. "I am fifteen years old."
"What?!" Aleron was dumbfounded. 'Fifteen years old and already Paragon-rank...'
[Gachapi: Master, it's not even been a year, and you are already a Paragon rank if you have forgotten it. But in her case, she is simply born at Ascension-rank lifeform.]
'Oh yeah,' Aleron wryly smiled.
"Of course, you can live with us," Aleron chuckled as he gently patted her head. "Let's go. It's time to win the best pavilion."
Meanwhile, the other seven participants speechlessly looked as Aleron snapped his finger, causing four of them to teleport right into the S-rank area.
"Is anyone home?" Aleron shouted, his voice booming forward.
After a few seconds, the big gate below opened, and a tall man with a bald head and light blue skin with black patterns on his body emerged, his height was two meters tall, and his physique was filled with explosive muscles.
Aleron teleported and appeared two meters away from the man, smiling as he said, "Hi, I am Aleron. Let's fight."
"So you want my castle? Alright, let's finish this fast."
'So he won't even tell his name?' Aleron wryly smiled. His eyes flickered as he activated the Eyes of Absolute Judgement.
In the next second, Aleron's eyes turned icy, and his smile turned cold, "Wait a bit, please. I nee-"
*BOOM*
The blue man immediately attacked before Aleron could finish, his fist unleashing a torrent of destructive dark blue energy that formed a dreadful vortex around Aleron.
"I hate that guy," Kira pouted her cheeks. "He is going to lose badly."
"Hmm, Mast-, Aleron's disposition shifted," Shelby said, but her eyes were cold. "That piece of trash is not just going to lose."
Luna also felt intense killing intent from Aleron towards this man he met for the first time today, feeling confused. "I don't understand."
"Extend your soul sense into the pavilion to see and you'll know."
On the other hand, the vortex dispersed, and Aleron was standing inside unscathed within a faint silver-blue barrier showing flowing white particles around, looking like gentle wind
waves.
"Wait obediently while I ask something important concerning your life," Aleron said as he took out a crystal and contacted Lilisa.
'It seems he is more than what his aura shows,' Balgen thought as he looked at Aleron. However, the confidence and disdain in his eyes didn't vanish.
He was a 9-star Mystic Path holder and already had three Innate Gears in his body. There were only a few Paragon-rank powerhouses in this city on par with him and he was already near the peak of Paragon-rank.
Meanwhile, he could clearly see that Aleron's aura didn't indicate he was stronger in terms of stats.
But seeing Aleron's gaze as he talked with someone, his fist clenched as he produced killing intent. 'I didn't plan to kill you, but since you asked for you, I'll grant it to you.'
On the other hand, Aleron finished talking with Lilisa and put away the crystal, "I'm glad. I was worried we weren't allowed to kill others here."
Balgen grinned, his glowing black teeth bare and his eyes stretched with a fiery blue flame in them, "I am grateful I saved my last kill slot. Otherwise, I would have died of frustration of not being allowed to kill you."
Aleron also asked the thing about this to Lilisa as he wanted to know if he was allowed to kill.
Surprisingly, it was allowed but limited.
Each member of this class could only kill up to 3 people if any conflict arose. If they killed three people, they wouldn't be allowed to kill. Doing so would instead result in death
punishment.
"So, are you ready now?!" Balgen asked as his body glowed and he became five meters tall, directly using his Bloodline essence and a Mystic Skill to buff himself.
Aleron glanced at him and raised his hand, causing black clouds to form above them, spanning over a kilometer as the phenomenon while also indicating that he was ready.
Balgen grinned ferociously as he punched forward, causing powerful winds to rustle along with dark blue inky waves transforming into a punch-shaped projectile.
But in the next second, a pitch-black lightning strike extended from the cloud at literal light
speed, striking the attack.
*BOOM!*
Balgen's punch was destroyed and vanished out of existence before it could touch Aleron.
'What?!' Balgen's eyes trembled, and he looked up, realizing the massive chasm of power that
bore down on him.
'H-How?!'
*Crackle!*
"You will rest in my hell from now on," Aleron said before lightning strikes flashed and struck Balgen, but all of them were thinner.
However, Balgen's eyes bulged out in pain as he started screaming and paralyzed. He couldn't even utilize his Chakra energy properly as he felt drowning in a pit of despair as he faced
death's door.
Mystic Skill: Void Dismantle Thundercloud.
The lightning from this cloud possessed absolute destructiveness resulting from space-time attributes compressed within gravity, giving it the highest destructiveness possible,
achieving the effect of 'Void'
But it also had more effects thanks to Aleron's versatile 10-star Mystic Path, which had tons of Traits related to all elemental effects.
On top of that, Aleron used a 5-Star Magic Print: Enhanced Disability, applying it in the cloud
to reduce resistance to various status effects applied on targets struck by the lighting strikes from Void Dismantle Thundercloud.
As such, Balgen was constantly paralyzed with tens of lightning strikes attacking him each second while other status effects prevented him from utilizing his energies. Aleron kept the damage to a minimum to keep him alive and not kill him fast.
'Thick black mark and the tragedy in that pavilion... It seems Proper Path Alliance really doesn't care about anything their members do,' Aleron clenched his fist. [Astral: Gahhh!! I am angry! Mastah, he must suffer in hell at cruelest section.]
[Gachapi: Indeed.]
Aleron stopped after five minutes and finished off Balgen before capturing his soul and
sending it to Midworld's Hell.
Since it was a Paragon-rank soul, it couldn't go into the hell of the Lower Cosmos Rexian.
Shelby, Luna, and Kira flew towards Aleron before the four of them entered the pavilion.
Shelby waved her hand and created a barrier around the Pavilion, isolating them from any
outside senses.
"Master, should we send them to our Midworld until they have given birth?"
"Yeah. They'll get more care there."
Inside the pavilion, the big hall had small huts littered, around 30. Each hut had a woman, alive but lifeless, and many of them were pregnant. All slaves of various races. But the most cruel thing was that Balgen was using them for his cultivation of Bloodline.
Aleron knew about such practice from Elysia's memories, and it was considered taboo in many Upper Cosmos, but each Upper Cosmos had its own laws set by the force that ruled it.
On the other hand, there were no such laws in Chaosverse. It was just strong eat weak. The Law
of Jungle.
Since Aleron knew about such a practice, he instantly knew what was happening after looking at the pregnant women in the huts.
By making them pregnant, Balgen injected a seed of his Bloodline and his natural lifeform
power, and then when they gave birth, he would absorb the child to improve his stats slightly while also making his Bloodline stronger, and if his luck was good, it could also give him an innate trait, but at a very low chance one in a hundred thousand.
One could only imagine the pain of a mother who sees her newborn child becoming food for
that demon. They had lost all will to live and just waiting to die because they couldn't even
take their own lives.
Kira and Luna were shocked upon learning the truth of this situation and felt angry. Although Kira was just fifteen years old, she had already witnessed the tragedy of her family in an Upper Cosmos being massacred and ended up being a slave in Chaosverse.
But she was a kind girl and that was why Luna kept her close to save her.
The four of them talked with the 30 women and reassured them before sending them to his
Midworld.
There were only good people there, and it was the best place to care for these women who had suffered a lot under Balgen, as they would get the love and warmth that they needed. But there was one more problem...that Aleron had to solve if he really wanted to save them.
