Chapter 206: Lavia
Chapter 206: Lavia
'Everyone, don't show any hostility,' Aleron relayed to everyone after saying Hi.
'We can't even if we want to boss,' Lee wryly smiled.
'This fear of death is absolute, my lord. If she may kill us, our souls would obliterate,'
Darzax's expression was somber.
Everyone was dead silent with their eyes filled with fear, but that fear also reflected a resolve.
"You are interesting, little man."
The Eternal suddenly appeared before Aleron, her face an inch away from his.
Her glance went towards Enorin and others behind Aleron as she chuckled, "Your
subordinates are also interesting. Despite the fear of death, they are ready to pounce on
me...so you can escape."
"Say, can you escape?"
Aleron saw her eyes focused on his.
Forcing out a smile as he felt pressure and fear like never before, Aleron said, "I...don't want to try, miss Eternal."
"I am Aleron, nice to meet you."
"Hahahaha, this is new. Your eyes, I mean."
Suddenly, everything around Aleron vanished and he found himself in a strange world full of colorful eyes like the mysterious structure of this Eternal's body.
The horrors it showered on Aleron were like never before.
"Why...are your eyes showing such curiosity in the face of death, little man?"
"And what is that strange thing in your source space?"
Aleron gulped.
'She found the presence of Ultimate Gacha System?'
'But she is so powerful and otherworldly...it shouldn't be hard for her to find the system.'
Aleron's heart was involuntarily drawn to find know more about her as well. This was his nature.
What powers does she have?
Who is she?
Can I be friends with her?
"What is your name, Miss Eternal?" Aleron asked, his eyes glittering with gold and black in a whirling fashion. He was scared to death, but he didn't want to hold back on a conversation with such a being.
Why should he?!
"What is this power around me? It's scary, but so cool! Am I in another dimension you created?"
All the crazy and exotic dimensional horror eyes around Aleron paused.
The scenery changed into a nightscape on a mountaintop with cute glowing insects illuminating the peak.
Aleron found himself sitting on a wooden bench in front of the Eternal who looked at him with her chin on her hand and legs crossed.
"Hi, my name is Aleron. I think I asked your name without telling mine," Aleron said with a grin.
"I am Eternal of Synthesis and Purity, Lavia."
Aleron's eyes sparkled, "That's a cool title full of mystery and power. I can't even inspect you."
Lavia narrowed her eyes, "Why...are you not scared of me?"
She grabbed her hair in frustration, "It's the first time someone talked to me like this."
Aleron was dumbfounded, "What the hell? First time?"
"I mean, not first first time, but the first time since I became eternal and I've been an Eternal since forever," Lavia rolled her eyes.
"That's...understandable," Aleron wryly smiled and wiped his forehead off sweat, "Your aura is too powerful and it just straight tells people you're dead."
"Urghh, this is why I hate this place," Lavia groaned, and suddenly the whole place turned into a cartoony style and the scenery changed.
They arrived in on the rooftop of a building, looking all cartoony-like a colorful CGI world.
Both arrived on a comfy chair facing the sea far away from the rooftop with drinks and fruits on the table between them.
*Crouch...*
"You might think my title and all is badass, but I am a prisoner here," Lavia said after taking a bite from an apple.
"You look cute in the cartoon version," Aleron said with a laugh.
Lavia froze...for a second and started eating an apple.
"You're weird, but I like that," Lavia said.
Aleron saw her smile, but it appeared sad. 'She is so powerful, but she has the purest white mark on her.'
He looked at the beautiful and pure white mark on her head. Although the fear of death was absolute in her presence like some sort of law, it couldn't stop him.
"Miss Lavia, I know I am weak, but I just want to say I will help you if I can."
Lavia turned to Aleron and felt strange warmth looking at his gentle and earnest smile.
She was stunned!
'Who is this person? It's the first time someone conquered my presence, and he even wants to help...me?'
Aleron saw her expression changing from sad, to stunned to, now bursting into a chuckle that appeared cheerful.
"Alright, I am amused."
The scenery suddenly changed as Aleron found himself back to reality, finding the burning grass field and his subordinates' presence.
Lavia stood before him akimbo with her petite figure, appearing in her cartoony form that Aleron praised.
"Aleron, I mark you as my candidate for the Multiverse Gauntlet. You have 100 years to reach the Chaos Fissure," Lavia smiled and grabbed his hand, "I have high hopes for you, my
champion."
After saying that, Lavia vanished.
[You have received a Main Quest.]
'What's this voice?' Aleron was startled, he hadn't heard this type of voice and text panel
before.
[Gachapi: it's Will of Chaosverse, Master.]
[Main Quest: Eternal Candidate]
[Story]
-Eternals are prisoners of Chaosverse. They may choose a candidate of their liking and hope that they can defeat the Crux Lord of Chaos in the Multiverse realm's First Labyrinth. So far,
nobody has managed to complete this quest.
-You are chosen as a candidate by Eternal of Synthesis and Purity.
-Become powerful enough to reach the Chaos Fissure and enter the Multiverse realm to fight
the Crux Lord of Chaos.
-Note: You can have a choice to abandon the quest once you enter the Multiverse realm. Should you choose the abandon it, you may be allowed to live in the Multiverse realm.
[Task]
-Defeat the Crux Lord of Chaos.
[Reward]
-Freedom of all Eternals.
-Demolition of Chaosverse System.
-Open Path to Multiverse Realm.
"Woah, woah, woah...wait a second," Aleron blinked a few times as he read. "This is one hell
of a main quest!"
"What happened, Master?" Enorin asked upon hearing Aleron's surprised expression.
"Take a look, everyone," Aleron said as he shared the quest with everyone. "What's with that note? Nobody managed to defeat him...and they can abandon the quest if they want to live in the Multiverse realm," Ruan said with a snort. "I bet most people did
that."
[Gachapi: That's true. Most of those powerhouses chose to abandon the quest since those who tried were met with ultimate death. The catch here is that once you abandon this quest, you can no longer challenge Crux Lord of Chaos so even if you become more powerful later, you
can't help the Eternals.]
[Gachapi: You might be killed even if you think about doing that.]
"You seem to know a lot about this stuff and why that multiverse sounds stuffy? Kill by thinking about it?" Aleron rubbed his chin. "That's crazy."
"Oh yeah, where are you from, Gachapi? Is this system from Multiverse Realm?" Aleron
asked.
[Gachapi: Since we've come to this information, I can answer it. This system is indeed from the Multiverse realm.]
Everyone was surprised, but not shocked.
They knew what this system was capable of, so it wasn't strange.
