Chapter 16: Chapter: The Rise of the Pervert Sage
When Kal first enrolled in the ninja academy, he did his best to stay under the radar. Being the son of Saruto Uchiha, a high-ranking member of the Uchiha clan, meant that all eyes were on him, and the expectations were high. But Kal wasn't interested in impressing anyone. He had secrets to keep—his Sharingan, his newly developed lucid dream jutsu, and his knowledge from his past life.
At first, Kal kept to himself, focusing on his training, learning techniques, and observing his peers. He'd give polite answers when spoken to but avoided getting too close to anyone. Jiraiya, Tsunade, and the others quickly learned that Kal wasn't exactly like the other kids.
But then, something unexpected happened.
One day, Jiraiya, ever the brash troublemaker, came up to Kal after class. The boy had always been the loudest and most confident in the group, but today, he seemed unusually hesitant.
"Hey, Kal, can I ask you something?" Jiraiya asked, rubbing the back of his head.
Kal raised an eyebrow. "Sure, what's up?"
Jiraiya glanced around, making sure no one was listening. "Well, I've been... uh... wondering about girls." He hesitated, clearly uncomfortable. "Like, how do you talk to them without looking like a total idiot?"
Kal suppressed a smile. It wasn't the first time Jiraiya had asked such a question, but it was clear he wasn't getting anywhere with his usual charm. Kal thought back to his past life—he had his fair share of experience in such matters, but this time, he was more cautious. After all, he didn't want to attract too much attention.
"First of all, Jiraiya, stop being so obvious," Kal said bluntly. "Confidence is important, yes, but it has to be *subtle*. You don't just go up to them and start spouting nonsense."
Jiraiya's eyes lit up with interest. "Subtle? Like what?"
Kal leaned in, lowering his voice as if he were revealing a great secret. "Compliment them, but don't go overboard. Listen more than you talk, and always respect their space. Don't be pushy."
Jiraiya nodded, taking it all in. "Alright, alright. Got it. Be cool, don't be a creep. Thanks, Kal."
That conversation was the spark that started it all.
Jiraiya, thrilled by his newfound knowledge, began to put Kal's advice into practice, and to his surprise, it worked. The other boys, noticing the change in Jiraiya's confidence, began to ask Kal for advice as well. At first, it was just a few, but soon more and more boys started gathering around him after class, eager to learn his "wisdom."
One afternoon, Choji approached Kal hesitantly. "Kal... um... can you teach me how to... talk to girls too?"
Kal, though slightly amused, nodded. "Alright, Choji, but remember, the key is confidence—don't get nervous. Just be yourself, and don't try to impress anyone too much."
Choji looked relieved. "Okay, thanks!"
The boys quickly began to refer to Kal as their unofficial "sensei," though they didn't exactly understand the full scope of his teachings. They didn't know that Kal had brought knowledge from his past life that stretched far beyond the usual ninja tactics.
Soon, the whispers started. Kal, the quiet Uchiha kid who kept to himself, was now the go-to expert on relationships, flirting, and subtlety. They started calling him the "Pervert Sage"—a playful jab at his ability to teach them the ways of charm and subtlety in a world where most were focused solely on ninjutsu.
At first, Kal hadn't minded the nickname. He was just giving them advice, after all. But over time, the title stuck, and it spread across the academy. No matter where he went, Kal could hear the muttering of "Pervert Sage" followed by snickers or curious glances. Even Tsunade couldn't escape the rumors.
One afternoon, as Kal walked down the hall, a group of younger students—mostly first-years—whispered behind his back.
"Look, it's the Pervert Sage!"
Kal rolled his eyes but didn't say anything. Instead, he turned to face them and gave a half-smile. "Got a problem with the title?" he asked, leaning casually against the wall.
The kids froze. They hadn't expected him to respond. One of them, a small boy with messy hair, stammered, "Uh, no, no problem, Pervert Sage! We just... um, heard about your... wisdom."
Kal raised an eyebrow. "Well, I'm always here to teach," he said smoothly, walking away with a wink.
As he walked off, he couldn't help but feel a little amused. It wasn't exactly the reputation he'd expected, but in a way, it made sense. In a school full of aspiring ninja, Kal's real strength wasn't in his jutsu or his Sharingan—it was in the knowledge he had from his past life. And if that made him the Pervert Sage, so be it.
Tsunade, of course, was not impressed.
She confronted him a few days later, her face a mixture of frustration and exasperation. "You really are taking this whole 'Pervert Sage' thing seriously, aren't you?"
Kal just shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips. "It's just a title, Tsunade. At least I'm not boring."
Jiraiya, standing nearby, couldn't help but laugh. "Hey, he's not wrong! Pervert Sage knows what's up!"
Tsunade shot them both an incredulous look before storming off. "You two are hopeless."
As the days passed, Kal couldn't help but embrace his role, even if it was far from what he expected when he first arrived at the academy. The title of "Pervert Sage" may have started as a joke, but now it was something that was firmly a part of his identity at the school. And while it didn't earn him the respect of the teachers, it certainly made him a legend among the students.
