Chapter 12: 12

Abnormal

Chapter Text

Dager was stunned as he watched Juny land on the ground.

He wasn't scared, but rather amazed by Juny's power.

He soon saw Juny's head turn to look at him.

Juny's eyes narrowed before quickly moving to his left and back.

Dager followed her gaze and immediately saw the crouched Ellone.

He jumped in realization before quickly, and apologetically, rushing to his sister's side.

He pulled out a couple of papers and immediately infused them with his spirituality.

Dager watched as Ellone's breathing slowly calmed down to a steady pace.

Ellone exhaled, looked up at the Violet moon, then at Juny and finally at Dager.

"That was cool."

She couldn't help but comment.

Ellone expected Dager to laugh, but he instead nodded with a straight face.

"It was."

The two sibling looked at each other for a while before sharing a smile.

This was because it was Juny who was cool.

Their Juny, the Scoutmaster of their Organization.

And they were her Assistants.

Dager stood up and offered Ellone a hand.

Ellone grabbed it and quickly followed suit.

Her body was a bit sore, but healed and not bleeding.

The two watched as the Violet light slowly faded before completely disappearing.

The crimson moonlight once again filled the surroundings.

As soon as the screams disappeared, Juny dispelled her Space Isolation.

As soon as she did so, the Violet moon disappeared.

'That was interesting... but my insides hurt.'

'I guess it's actually not that bad. After all, I had my spirituality completely full while he was injured and after battle.'

Juny stretched her back and walked over to the scarlet tiara.

Looking at it, Juny absorbed the information.

'It can manipulate and absorb the blood of surrounding living creatures.'

'After that, it strengthens its owner... this is awfully familiar.'

Juny took a step back and lifted the tiara with her Space Manipulation.

'This is extremely similar to the Fragile Heart of Terror.'

Juny then groaned.

'Alluring Tiara of Death... god dammit! Even the name is similar! And equally as bad!'

She moved the tiara while thinking.

'It is greatly connected to the crimson moon. Also from a Scarlet Scholar?'

Wandering about, she sped up her pace and lifted all the Beyonder characteristics from the fight using her Space Manipulation.

'They were packed! Two Sequence 9s, five Sequence 8s, one Sequence 7 and one Sequence 5.'

'What a wonderful harvest! And I got rid of all blood in the process!'

Nodding to herself, Juny looked at the exploded body of the Scarlet Scholar.

'I should do a Spirit Channeling.'

Juny placed all the goods inside the Pocket Dimension underneath her coat.

She activated her Material Vision and looked at the pool of blood and flesh.

'This didn't burn yet.'

Thinking of setting it on fire later, Juny looked at the Spirit floating above it.

Whilst preparing a ritual, she slowly lit up the candles.

After praying to the Dimensional Space, Juny's vision turned hazy as she entered a blurry and disoriented world.

A lonely and twisted Spirit Body floated around aimlessly.

Juny slowly and carefully approached it before asking.

"Who are you?"

The Spirit turned to face her before emotionlessly replying.

"I'm Vlad Lan Hardish. I'm the third highest ranking member of the Rosary Road."

Juny's eye twitched upon hearing the name, but she ignored her displeasure.

"Who are the two members ranked above you?"

The Spirit stirred, but replied.

"Lamei Grant is my competitor. He's also a Scarlet Scholar and also owns an illegal business, but he's too feral, he doesn't deserve his high ranking."

Juny shifted her lips into a smile.

'Too feral... a brothel then?'

Juny didn't interrupt in the man's words as she quietly listened further.

"Sir Deaflau is a very powerful Shaman King. He's of a true Sanguine blood. Although he has been cast out for his 'crimes' against the Sanguine, he's still managed to become a real Demigod! He's truly almighty!"

Juny almost rolled her eyes at this man's change in attitude.

"Where do they stay?"

The Spirit body whirred in dissatisfaction.

But Juny has already Isolated it from any outside interferences, so the Spirit couldn't help but speak.

"Lamei Grant is like a sex-driven maniac, that bastard never leaves his place at the Rosy Red brothel!"

"...Sir Deaflau is honored and stays at the main hideout at all times. The hideout... our place... it's a mansion with large underground space. It's an elegant mansion, fit for sir Deuflau. It's at the corner 126 on the Gland street in Dartel division of the Feynapotter city."

Juny slowly nodded and asked the slowly dissipating Spirit.

"Is there anyone backing your boss?"

The Spirit warped slightly before emotionlessly answering.

"Sir Deaflau would never be someone else's underdog! Sir Deaflau will take over the entire Feynapotter city and become a real king!"

Juny sighed in relief as the Spirit dispersed.

She slowly opened her eyes to see the bloody puddle once more.

Juny straightened up and threw a Burn Curse into the pool of blood.

Seeing it lit up, Juny turned away.

She quickly spotted the siblings enthusiastically talking with Degster and Natia.

'This...'

Juny's lips twitched as she suddenly had a bad feeling.

She soon shook it off and walked towards them.

All of them looked in her direction as they heard her approach.

She gave them a greeting smile.

Juny watched as Degster flinched before returning it with a nod.

'Wha- why do you seem so fidgety yet proud at the same time?'

She slowly looked at the two siblings.

They were beaming with smiles.

She secretly exhaled before looking towards Natia.

"I'll give you the Sequence 7 Beyonder characteristic."

She watched as Natia slowly nodded.

"Thank you."

'She seems... normal?'

Juny acknowledged before looking back at Degster.

"Let's talk about the rest of the spoils, I'll also share what I learned."

"Sure."

Degster no longer seemed strange, as if he finally awoke from a daze.

Juny then looked towards the siblings.

Her eyes especially stopped on the very bright Dager.

Without waiting for him to speak, Juny asked.

"How's your potion?"

Hearing her question, Dager beamed.

"I'm almost done digesting!"

Juny gave him an encouraging smile and turned to Ellone.

"Are you hurt?"

Ellone firmly shook her head.

"I'm good."

Juny looked her up and down before turning towards the rest of the Beyonders.

In total, Juny killed four guys with that last attack.

But their side only suffered some serious injuries, no deaths.

"This is quite successful."

Juny mumbled to herself.

She then looked at the moon.

'Around 1 am.'

Seeing Juny mumbling and staring at the sky, Dager swallowed his excitement.

"Are you good?"

"Huh?"

Juny looked away from the moon.

Seeing Dager giving her THE concerned stare, she looked down at herself.

'My body hurts and I'm pretty sure the muscles and bones in my hand are seriously twisted. Now that I think about it, it really hurts...'

'But it's ignorable. Although I'll probably cough out blood in a few minutes...'

'But it's in no way as bad as before. I'm even able to disregard it.'

Juny's head tilted back up as she lightly smiled at Dager.

"I just need to get some Enchantments, then I'll cough out a bit of blood and I'll be good."

She nodded with a pleased expression.

Noticing everyone around her flinching, Juny felt that it was reasonable.

'It is really mild... considering I just changed the color of the moon and blew a guy up. But the moon was Violet only inside the Space Isolation.'

Dager frowned at Juny's 'laid back' attitude towards throwing up blood.

Degster, on the other hand, felt his insides twist upon hearing the little child speak about crushed bones and coughing blood as if it was something normal.

"Thank god we're on the same side."

He whispered, honestly relieved.

Juny looked at Degster before acting as if she didn't hear him.

'Everyone's acting as if I'm a powerhouse.'

She silently sighed.

"Let's meet tomorrow to discuss the loot."

She concluded before bidding a polite farewell and leaving.

Watching Juny leave, the siblings looked at Degster.

They smiled and spoke at the same time.

"Nice having you joint us, mister Scout Leader and miss Assistant Scout Leader."

Degster and Natia looked at them before nodding as a form of acknowledgment.

Natia then looked at the leaving Juny and asked.

"Doesn't she need to know that we joined the organization?"

The sibling shared looks before smiling.

"She already knows."

"She's aware."

Not speaking about it further, Dager excused himself and walked over to the rest of his allies.

He stopped in front of a particular black-haired man.

He couldn't be older than 18 but he was already a Sequence 9 Beyonder.

"Well? How was seeing our Scoutmaster in action?"

The man flinched and looked around warily.

He then immediately straightened himself and answered.

"Sir Dager, you never told me that the Scoutmaster was so strong."

Dager smirked.

"Well, she is the Scoutmaster. You should've introduced yourself, Veller. Or I could've introduced you."

The man, Veller shook his head.

"It's fine, sir."

Valler was a 'friend' of Dager's.

After being beaten up, Valler joined the Abyssal Troop to work directly beneath the Assistant Scoutmaster.

The Assistant Scoutmaster, aka Dager, didn't oppose to this, since that was his plan all along.

As the Assistant Scoutmaster, he couldn't stay without subordinates.

Valler actually wasn't the leader of his current 'team'.

He was actually beneath the boss who was later killed by Dager.

Dager took his Sailor Beyonder characteristic and with the Potion formula from Juny, he gave it to Valler.

Ellone watched her brother with a strange expression.

"He's flaunting Juny's strength... not even Juny does that."

"That's why it's respectable."

Ellone looked slightly up at Degster. Probing him to explain.

"If Juny were to point out her strength at a regular basis like the kid's doing, it would be seen as mare flaunting and would be taken as that person being overconfident. But if someone else points at her strength behind her back, that usually means she's truly strong yet also not overconfident."

Hearing this, Ellone slowly nodded.

"But I've never actually heard Juny say that she's strong. Not even as a passing sentence."

This time it was Degster who looked at her.

The two locked eyes before going in their opposite directions.

Ellone went to grab her brother while Degster went to talk to Natia.

Weirdly enough, the two had the same passing thought.

'Juny is an abnormal child.'

...

"Why are you so against me becoming a Beyonder?"

Juny flinched and shifted her eyes off the history book.

'That came out of nowhere.'

Juny moved her gaze up in thought before giving Tarkel an answer.

"You are too young."

Before Tarkel could make the obvious retort of 'You're younger' Juny added.

"And you don't know enough."

Tarkel flinched before looking at the book.

"How much do I need to know?"

Juny tapped her fingertip on the table in thought.

"Knowing is not always concentrated on how many books you've read or how many lessons you were thought."

She then looked at Tarkel.

"Sometimes it's simply about experiences, and you don'thave those."

Tarkel was silent for a long while.

"How can I gain experiences while being weak and friendless?"

Juny opened her lips but soon closed them.

She looked away as she couldn't answer that.

She always had the Dimensional Space and she began her experiences as a Sequence 7.

She was never weak. She's been lonely and friendless, but never too weak to be unable to protect herself.

Looking down at the history book, Juny carefully asked.

"If you could, then which Pathway would you choose?"

"Huh?"

Tarkel exclaimed, but soon calmed down.

He thought about it thoroughly and finally gave Juny his answer.

"The Sun pathway."

Juny gave him a cautious look.

"Why?"

Tarkel organized his words before answering.

"They are the strongest while fighting with comrades, and they're strong against evil beings. And they're useful!"

'Useful.'

Juny pondered over the boy's words.

Tarkel was pretty short for his age.

This was because of his lack of movement and from the years of sickness.

He had soft red hair with pure blue eyes.

He was closer to being pretty than being handsome.

'But then again, which twelve year old is handsome? Maybe he will get more handsome and less beautiful.'

Juny had an inward discussion while keeping her silence.

"When's your birthday?"

She finally broke the silence.

Tarkel looked at her in surprise before giving it some serious thought.

"The 21st April."

Juny nodded.

"That's close, I'll give it to you as a gift in a month."

Tarkel flinched and stared at her face.

"Really?"

Juny nodded.

"Of course, but you'll need to get more experience before even getting a look at the Sequence 8 Potion."

Tarkel's body shook.

He soon leaped forward and wrapped his hands around Juny's tiny body.

"Thank you!"

"Uh..."

Juny froze at the physical contact.

'He's hugging me? Why? I haven't even given him anything yet!'

It was at that exact moment that Dager walked through the door.

He wanted to give them a greeting, but upon seeing the laughing Tarkel and the exasperated as well as absolutely terrified Juny, he froze.

Juny looked at him.

Her face a mixture of discomfort and extreme confusion.

Juny then separated her lips and mouthed.

'He's hugging me.'

Dager flinched before nodding in acknowledgment.

Juny's eyes roamed around.

'What do I do?'

Dager looked at her strangely before mouthing out,

'You were never hugged before?'

Juny flinched at this.

Thinking about it, it has been more than ten years since she was last hugged.

Of course, that's Juny, not Kalia.

'How do I answer that?'

Juny kept her mouth closed for a second before replying.

'Not like this! He's been at it for more than a minute straight!'

'Do I push him away?'

She couldn't help but ask.

She then saw Dager's lips twitching.

'What else are you planning on doing?'

Juny's head spun at this question.

She looked at Tarkel and moved her hands.

Feeling Juny struggling out of his grasp, Tarkel quickly moved back.

Seeing Juny's confused expression and Dager standing by the door, Tarkel suddenly felt embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, I haven't hugged anyone other than my mom before... and she's dead now."

'So is mine dude, don't worry about it.'

Juny held back her remarks and slowly stood up.

She then turned to Dager and greeted as if nothing happened.

"Good afternoon, what are you doing back so early?"

Today was Monday and it was nearing the time for that crimson dream filled with gray fog to take place.

Dager played along and also acted ignorant, since his mother is also dead.

"Good afternoon to you too! I had nothing to do so I thought I'd look for Ellone."

Juny nodded and gave him some pointers towards the medical Hall where Ellone worked.

Breathing a sigh, Juny said goodbye to Tarkel walked to her room before casting Space Isolation.

'Here goes nothing.'

Juny watched as dark red light flashed, before it enveloped her entire vision.

Soon, Juny found herself sitting by a long bronze table.

She once again saw the naive Miss Justice and the cunning Mr. Hanged Man.

Her head then turned towards the Seat of Honor.

Mr. Fool sat there with one of his hands flatly touching the table's side and the other caressing his chin.

Juny planned on giving a polite greeting, but Miss Justice beat her to it.

"Good Afternoon, Mr. Fool~!"

Miss Justice shouted in a cheery voice.

She then looked opposite her and spoke in the same tone.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Hanged Man~!"

Then, she looked to her left and greeted Juny.

"Good afternoon, Miss High Priestess~!"

Juny wanted to greet back, but she waited for Mr. Fool to smile and give his answer first.

"Good afternoon, Miss Justice."

Juny watched as Mr. Fool gently tapped his glabella twice.

She didn't pay much attention to it as she also greeted as a child should.

"Good afternoon, Miss Justice!"

She then turned and spoke in a milder voice.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Hanged Man."

She then turned to the Seat of Honor and gently bowed her head.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool."

She watched as the mysterious man scanned Mr. Hanged Man with strange delay before turning to look at her.

He then, slightly and almost unnoticeably, flinched.

'Oho? Did you gain Spirit vision, Mr. Newly Advanced Beyonder? Can you see how strong this Sequence 5 child is?'

Juny felt slightly amused as she leisurely moved her gaze away from Mr. Fool.

Juny heard as Miss Justice drew a light gasp before asking in anticipation.

"Mr. Hanged Man, did you receive the box of Ghost Shark blood?"

Juny saw Mr. Fool once again tapping his glabella.

He looked as if he was considering something, but Juny quickly understood.

'Is that how he activates his Spirit vision?'

She then heard Mr. Hanged Man speak frankly.

"Thank you very much. It perfectly met my expectations. I never expected you to send it to me so quickly. The Ghost Shark blood is not the typical extraordinary creature."

Miss Justice humbly smiled.

"I'm very happy to see this outcome."

Juny watched as Mr. Hanged Man stole a quick glance at Mr. Fool before looking at her.

Juny flinched before speaking.

"Although I already know the Potion formula for Spectator, if you feel uncomfortable, I'd be more than happy to block my senses with my spirituality."

The Hanged Man together with Miss Justice flinched at this sudden reveal.

Juny could guess what they were thinking, but she simply waited for Mr. Hanged Man's choice.

After a few seconds of thought, Mr. Hanged Man spoke to her in a deep tone.

"There's no need, I believe you wouldn't try to lie about something like that."

'That... what does that mean. Even if I lie, that Mr. Fool wouldn't be able to do anything about it, or even find out."

Juny felt strange but nodded her head.

Mr. Hanged Man then looked at Miss Justice before speaking with a smile.

"According to our agreement, I will tell you the formula to the potion, Spectator."

Juny heard Miss Justice inhale.

"Let me prepare myself. Alright, begin."

"Low-Sequence potions are very easy to conduct. Just follow the order that I provide you. Do remember that there can be smaller quantities of the ingredients but not more. It would cause major problems. You should have heard about news of Beyonders losing control. I believe there's no need for me to repeat it."

Juny listened as Mr. Hanged Man began by mentioning things to take note of.

'This guy's actually nice. I thought he would just give her the formula and get it over with...'

Miss Justice nodded gently and said.

"I understand completely."

'You understand yet you still choose to become a Beyonder... you don't even know the acting method!'

Juny saw as Miss Justice turned to look towards Mr. Fool before silently looking back.

'He can't help you much...'

Juny felt the need to speak up, but then she heard Mr. Hanged Man continue.

"Having smaller quantities does not mean it should deviate by too much... If you do not have an assistant, I suggest you spend some time familiarizing yourself with chemistry experiment."

Juny felt relieved that she started as a Sequence 7 with really good control over her body. Measurements were easy for her and she even had her chemistry experience from her past life.

She watched as Miss Justice answered.

"I have a family tutor for such matters."

One could clearly tell that Miss Justice was not burdened by chemistry.

'... That's something only a noble could say.'

Keeping it to herself, Juny listened to Mr. Hanged Man recite with great fluency the Spectator Potion formula.

She watched Miss Justice repeat the formula with Mr. Hanged Man reminding her again if she struggled.

Even though Miss Justice soon memorized the formula precisely, she still appeared worried as she mumbled it over and over again.

Juny listened as Mr. Hanged Man continued to give Miss Justice advice.

The advice moved mainly around Cogitation, controlling of one's spirituality as well as a strange way of describing acting method.

'Is this what the churches say? 'Dig out the meaning it symbolizes and even more of its mysteries.' That's overly complex and vague...'

Juny opened her mouth to introduce the acting method when she heard the rapping sound on the table.

She looked towards the Seat of Honor and heard Mr. Fool speak in a deep voice.

"It's not about grasping them, but rather digesting them. It's not about discovery, but rather acting."

"The name of a potion is not symbolic, it's also imagery. It is the key to digesting."

Juny froze.

'How does this Sequence 9 know about the Acting method? No wait, he has this fog space, maybe it also has a library?'

Juny saw Miss Justice looking confused after hearing that.

Juny felt like growling.

'If you're gonna explain it, explain it throughly!'

Juny looked at Miss Justice and ignored Mr. Hanged Man's strange repeating.

"Mr. Fool is talking about the Acting method."

Seeing the two look at her, Juny slowly continued.

"By acting as the name of the Potion and your current Sequence, you can digest the potion. The better you digest, the more you will become one with the potion and the smaller is the chance of losing control. This means that you, Miss Justice, must act as a Spectator."

There was a short silence before Mr. Hanged Man raised his head and spoke towards the Seat of Honor.

"Thank you, Mr. Fool. Your hint is as valuable as my life. I would also like to thank you, Miss High Priestess. You have enlightened me greatly."

Mr. Fool remained unfathomable as he spoke with a smile.

"That was an advance payment."

Juny saw as Miss Justice gave her a look and a thankful smile before turning away and asking.

"Mr. Fool, what did you wish for us to do?"

Then, Mr. Hanged Man opposite her nodded and spoke.

"What matters might you wish to entrust us with?"

Juny watched Mr. Fool lean back slightly before glancing at the Hanged Man and the Justice.

He then spoke in a soft and pleasant voice.

"Collect Roselle Gustav's secret diary on my behalf, even if it's just one page of it."

"..."

Juny's body froze up.

'Roselle's 'diary'? That Emperor of Plagiarism's notebook is a diary? That transmigrator had a diary and Mr. Fool knows of it?'

She noticed Mr. Hanged Man frowning before hearing him question.

"Diary? That's a diary?"

Juny's body went cold as she watched Mr. Fool lean back and interlock his hands.

She then heard his hypnotic and relaxed voice.

"Let us first view it as a diary for now."

Juny held back her gulp.

She didn't dare to jump to conclusions.

'Maybe he can't read it and just deduced it. Yes, there are many ways to differentiate a notebook from a diary...'

Juny heard Miss Justice ask with curiosity.

"It's said that Emperor Roselle's, well, diary was written in a cryptic language or symbols he invented."

Juny didn't interrupt as she was truly interested in this.

"Yes."

She heard Mr. Hanged Man answer simply.

"Some people believe that it is unique set of symbols from mysticism. Others believe that it is a hieroglyph. But up to today, no one has found the correct way of deciphering it. At the very least, that's all I know."

Juny watched him then turn to Mr. Fool, probably for some sort of confirmation, but he didn't receive any.

She then listened to Miss Justice speak in a stumped manner. "We can't understand the symbols or the words... Then, how are we to pass the information to you, Mr. Fool? Or are we to mail it somewhere.

Juny gave herself a secret smirk.

'Now this is curious. How you gonna solve this issue Mr. Fool?'

Juny watched Mr. Fool think for a moment before slowly sitting up amid the thick grayish fog.

"Miss Justice, let us give it a try. Imagine a paragraph of text and give it the emotions of writing it with urgency. Yes, pick up the fountain pen beside you and write on the piece of paper."

While Mr. Fool was talking, Juny watched as yellowish-brown goatskin parchment and dark red fountain pen appear out of nowhere.

'Sir, you have the powers of Solidification too? But I don't feel any connection... Maybe this space with gray fog has the powers of imagination?'

Juny watched Miss Justice pick up the fountain pen and slowly moved it above the goatskin.

As soon as the pen landed on the parchment, a line appeared.

"Goddess, how fascinating!"

Miss Justice exclaimed in astonishment while Juny looked at the parchment in confusion.

'That was not a Beyonder ability but a... guidance of sort? Mr. Fool guided Miss Justice through her emotions to create that line. Damn that's cool...'

The excited Miss Justice soon looked towards the Seat of Honor with some fear.

"Mr. Fool, can you read what I'm thinking?"

Juny scoffed to herself.

'Can you imagine? I've been inwardly dissing everyone! I would've long been disconnected from this place!'

Juny heard Mr. Fool placate Miss Justice with a low tone.

"No. I'm only guiding you. I simplified the process of writing for you and made it become an imprint. If you did not wish to express it, nothing would appear."

Miss Justice heaved a sigh of relief as she asked.

"Is that so... Then we can only memorize the symbols or the way the cryptic text looks like. Then, we can present it directly as we wish?"

"Yes."

Mr. Fool answered.

Mr. Hanged Man, who had watched the attempt from the side, pointed out.

"That's not a bad method. Miss Justice, do not doubt your memory. After becoming a Spectator, you will receive immense improvement in this aspect."

He then looked at Juny.

Understanding, Juny nodded.

"My memory has also been enchanted, this method is very suitable."

She watched as Mr. Hanged Man gave her a deep look before falling into thought.

Miss Justice observed this before nodding in delight.

"You have delighted me with this reminder. Mr. Hanged Man, Do you have any other guidance on Spectators?"

She then looked towards the Seat of Honor.

"Mr. Fool, I will work hard to complete your mission. I will do my best to gather more of Emperor Roselle's secret diary."

Mr. Fool spoke calmly.

"I mentioned before that I'm a person who likes a fair and equal exchange. The advanced payment I gave is only equivalent to two pages of the diary for each person."

He then glanced at Juny.

"You were already aware of the Acting Method, thus there's no need to pay for hearing it again. If there are more pages, I will give additional pay in return."

Juny listened and politely nodded before having a thought.

'Mr. Fool is acting like he is an adult who does not take advantage of children... which is ironically correct as long as I'm present.'

Juny watched as Mr. Hanged Man bowed slightly with his hand by his chest.

"You are truly a generous gentleman."

He then turned to Miss Justice.

"Let me emphasize once more. A Spectator will forever be a spectator."

Juny listened to Mr. Hanged Man's detailed description of a Spectator's role and necessary abilities.

She watched as Miss Justice's eyes gradually brightened.

"It sounds, really, really interesting!"

Mr. Hanged Man finished explaining the demands of a Spectator and sighed.

"It seems like there's nothing else? Perhaps we can have a casual chat. We can talk about things happening around us. Perhaps it is something very normal to you, but in the ears of others, it might be a very important clue."

'Uuu! Sounds interesting! Finally something normal!'

Hiding the excitement in her heart Juny Hiding the excitement in her heart Juny saw Mr. Fool nodding slightly.

"Sure."

Miss Justice also agreed in excitement.

"Then, shall we begin with you, Mr. Hanged Man?"

Mr. Hanged Man thought for a moment before saying.

"The infamous pirate who calls himself Lieutenant General Deweyville has begun his voyage to explore the eastern end of the Sonia Sea again."

Miss Justice soon returned with a question.

"Oh? The owner of the Black Tulip?"

Mr. Hanged Man nodded.

"Yes."

Juny thought for a moment before speaking up.

"Two secret organizations have clashed inside the Feynapotter city recently, it is said to have been a battle between Sequence 5 Beyonders."

Juny acted as if it had nothing to do with a child like her.

She saw Mr. Hanged Man look at her with a surprised expression.

Miss Justice, on the other hand, looked extremely interested.

"Really? What organizations? Who won?"

Juny could tell that hearing 'Sequence 5' caught her interest.

Juny 'pondered' for a few seconds before answering.

"It was a battle between the Rosary Road and Abyssal Troop. I've heard that the Rosary Road tried to take over Abyssal Troop's underground connections and get rid of their members."

Juny glanced and saw that everyone was listening with interest.

"The Rosary Road tried to ambush the Abyssal Troop's informant, but they fell into a trap. The battle was pretty much one sided even though Abyssal Troop had less Beyonders on their side."

She didn't explicitly say who won, she only gave hints.

The elegant palace fell into silence.

'Interesting, huh? It feels good retelling it as if it had nothing to do with me!'

Juny wore an invisible smirk as Mr. Fool spoke up.

"According to what I know, the Secret Order has lost an Antigonus family Notebook."

"An Antigonus family Notebook?"

Juny heard Mr. Hanged Man repeat the words before smiling while shaking his head.

"I'm really curious as to what reaction the Church of the Evernight Goddess will have if they learn of it."

Juny could understand Mr. Hanged Man's point when she heard Miss Justice ask out of curiosity.

"Why are you so curious? What sort of special reaction would the Goddess's church have?"

Mr. Hanged Man flashed a smile before turning to Juny.

'Hoh? You wanna test this little girl's knowledge? I'll never back away from a challenge.'

Juny looked towards Miss Justice and explained Mr. Hanged Man's point.

"At the end of the Fourth Epoch, the Antigonus family was destroyed by the Church of the Evernight Goddess."

Mr. Hanged Man nodded, showing that Juny's explanation was correct.

Hearing this, Miss Justice spoke with a deep interest.

"I never imagined that such a thing would happen... Alright, my turn. Let me think of what I have to share."

Miss Justice cocked her head before chuckling.

"Yesterday, my etiquette teacher taught me how to faint elegantly without any faux pas. It's a practical skill used at social events to avoid awkward situations or nasty guys... Heh heh. I was just organizing my thoughts."

Juny's mind bloomed.

'No! Go back! I wanna learn how to faint elegantly! Although that wouldn't be very practical in bars or during fights, I would definitely find a use for it! Ugh... I guess I'll have to look for a book about fainting...'

Disappointed, Juny didn't disturb Miss Justice.

"What I really wanted to say is that ever since the failure of the battle on Balam's eastern shore, the king, premier, and gentlemen are under immense stress. They eagerly with to change."

'Boo! Not the politics! That's the one book I've never and will never read!'

Juny complained, but stayed silent nonetheless.

Miss Justice continued while recalling.

"They believe that the government's structure is too chaotic. Every election, if there is a change of the ruling party, there will be a change of personnel from top to bottom. It makes things a mess and lowers efficiency tremendously. Not only does it cause the battle loss, it also brings great inconvenience to the civilians."

Juny's mind was in a different place as she heard Mr. Hanged Man interject with a soft chuckle.

"They believe? Then their beliefs are a little. Perhaps they will only feel the itch a year after they get bitten by black mosquitoes."

'Damn, nice dissing of the government! I like this! I would also say something, but I'm not even from Loen. And I also have nothing to add...'

Juny's brain turned off as soon as Mr. Fool started talking.

He spoke about examinations for the public civilians and some requirements, but Juny couldn't care less.

She was just a small amount of willpower away from lying her head down on the bronze table.

Juny was in the middle of a daydream when she heard Miss Justice ask doubtfully.

"Are you implying that even if those ministers become monkeys, the effects would be insignificant?"

"No."

Mr. Hanged Man suddenly interjected.

"I believe that monkeys are a better choice than the present ministers."

He gave a pause before adding.

"After all, monkeys only need to eat, sleep and mate. They would not come up with foolish ideas and insist on brainless projects."

Juny looked at Mr. Hanged Man.

'Mr. Hanged Man, I adore your incredible sense of humor and your ability to say things like 'monkeys are better than people' with a straight face. I truly respect you.'

Her inner voice was honestly praising Mr. Hanged Man who paid no attention to her.

Miss Justice ruminated over the suggestion before saying in surprise.

"It sounds like it actually might work... It's a very simple but effective solution!"

She then looked at Mr. Fool and sincerely marveled.

"Mr. Fool, you must be an elderly person with outstanding intelligence who is very experienced in life!"

'H-Hey, Miss Justice? That's actually quite a rude thing to say...'

Juny kept her mouth shut as she heard Mr. Fool speak after looking around.

"Let us end today's gathering here."

Juny, Mr. Hanged Man and Miss Justice stood up at the same time.

"By your will."

A pure crimson filled her vision as she found herself before her desk.

She exhaled before stretching.

'This little ol' me can't take sitting quietly and listening to politics well.'

'I might've actually banged my head into the table soon enough.'

Giving a bored yawn, Juny walked to look out the window.

"I wonder what that bastard Deaflau is doing... He must be enraged out of his wits."

Juny snickered before leaving her room.

She was going to search the bars and secretly look for the Rosy Red brothel.

Although it was strange for a child to do so, Juny had Isolation Enchantment to help her out.

'Seriously, this Enchantment is to die for!'

She mumbled to herself and set out.

While doing so, Juny went over the Tarot Gathering and changed directions.

"I need some information about the sea..."

She soon realized that Mr. Hanged Man was a pirate of sorts.

And his talks about the owner of the Black Tulip exploring the Sonia Sea or whatnot, freaked her out.

She didn't know anything other than Geography and many mysticism facts.

Not too long ago, she found some travel guides of a man searching for the Forsaken Land of the Gods.

Juny was very interested, to say the least.

She basically turned the library upside down but she found very little.

She was satisfied with what she found, but it was still uncomfortably little.

In thought, Juny walked the alleys towards the library.

'They must have some history of newspapers.'

Suddenly, her feet stopped.

Her ears tingled as she slowly cocked her head as if she was listening to something.

She then frowned.

'Rape? In the middle of the day? Which son of a b*tch...'

Juny's body turned as she darted into the alley.

She passed a few alleys before getting to an empty part of the city.

Looking around with an activated Material Vision, Juny finally found the auras.

She turned the corner before frowning.

'This...'

A lady, who was a Sequence 8 Beyonder was struggling against three guys each at least Sequence 9 or Sequence 8.

Juny slowly moved her hand to pinch her cheek.

'What the absolute hell? They are Beyonders? All of them? Since when did being a Beyonder become so damn normal?'

'What if I one day found out that my drinking buddies have all became Beyonders?'

Juny was staring in a daze for a long time before flinching and moving to help the lady.

'My life is just too abnormal...'
