Chapter 7: (8/9)
Kain saw Lord Clerico whisper something into Executioner Bodwyn's ear. Kain remained calm knowing David won't hurt a fellow Blood Mage. But then Kain saw a female sitting not faraway also whispered something into another man's ear. Kain evaluated the female carefully and realized she is a magic caster. The man she was whispering to is also a magic caster. They both wore fine clothes that have Magical Elemental Stones embedded in it.
"This is not good. They may have suspected Alek as a Blood Mage now. Fool, just give up and lose now. That may be the only way to save you." Kain thought while knocking himself on the head trying to find a good strategy to handle this situation. Kain looked toward David but noticed that David completely ignored him. That is understandable, Kain and David could be exposed too if they are not careful. There are powerful magic casters present in the audience too. They can't show any suspicious signs. Several seconds later, Kain saw Lord Clerico and the female magic caster on the other side were leaving their seats in the audience side.
Inside the arena, Alek continued casting one [Fireball] spell after another. At the time Alek realized he was too reckless because this could expose him as a Blood Mage, it was already too late.
The arena announcer proclaimed, "This match will be temporarily stopped. Both contenders will take a ten minutes break and need to go back to their chambers.” Alek could have guessed the representatives of the Mages Council are waiting for him at his chamber.
"I needed to play cool. They can't search me without a valid reason. How should I explain about my mana pool?" Alek slowly walked back to his chamber while thinking of a good explanation.
"Professor Biersack, I will go investigate the restroom." Kain told Vincenzo and then immediately left without hearing a reply from him.
"Kain has been having a problem with his stomach lately. I needed to find a good physician for him." Vincenzo thought to himself as he saw how hurried Kain was in leaving. Kain loved to use the term 'investigate the restroom' as an alternative way to say 'I'm gonna go take a shit'.
The female magic caster that was whispering inside the male magic caster's ear earlier was Vonda Hardy, the former Saint-tier Executioner of the Mages Council. Recently, she became the Lord of Red when the previous Lord advanced into God-tier and traveled to the higher realms. Vonda was at level 82 when Etgar last saw her. Now, eighteen hundred years later. A magic caster advanced from level 82 to level 85 in less than two thousand years is considered a great talent. At level 85, Vonda is the seventh strongest Fire Mage of the Mages Council and no one disputed her when she was chosen to become the new leader of Red.
Alek walked back to his chamber and saw a male magic caster was waiting for him. Alek immediately recognized the man as Executioner Wayne Palmer who served Lord Vonda Hardy of the Red. Alek smiled, bowed to show respect as he said, “Executioner Palmer, it’s great to finally meet you in person.”
“Alek Silvergraft, Lord Hardy wanted to see you.”
“I’m in the middle of a battle tournament. Should-”
“Shut your mouth right now! The leader of Red is waiting to see you, understand?”
“Yes, my apology. Executioner Palmer, please lead the way.”
As Alek was walking out of his chamber led by Executioner Palmer. Executioner Bodwyn stopped at them at the door and said, “Wayne, Lord Clerico wanted to speak with this young man.”
“David, get out of my way before you get hurt. You don’t want to make my Lord wait, do you?”
“No… Of course not. Even so, I don’t want my Lord to wait either. Lord Clerico wanted to speak with this boy now, no exception. Wayne, please don't hurt me or I will have to kill you.” David giggled as he said that.
“How can I get out of this situation? What should I do? What can I do?” Many questions popped up in Alek’s mind but there is literally nothing he could do. If he keeps calm, maybe there is a chance to survive. Alek decided to stay calm and keep quiet when Executioner Palmer and Executioner Bodwyn were about to fight with each other.
“Executioner Bodwyn?” A voice interrupted the argument between Wayne and David.
“Kain! I’m delighted to see you are here. Please lead this young man to Lord Clerico, he is waiting in his reserved room.” David said in a cheerful tone.
“Alek Silvergraft, please follow me.” Kain humbly asked Alek.
“Great! I recognized him. He is Kain Almos. Kain won’t be able to cast any magic spell for a month because he was killed and revived yesterday. I should pretend to follow Kain then find a good spot to kill him and get out of here while I still have a chance.” Alek thought to himself as he said, “Please lead the way. Kain, I watched your battle yesterday with Aber Hardy. You were fabulous!”
Alek was about to follow Kain but Wayne put his hand out to stop him and said, “You are a Fire Mage. If you don’t want to lose a chance of joining the Red, then you better follow me to speak with Lord Hardy.”
David laughed out loud and said in a mocking tone, “Young man, who cares about joining the Red? You can become an Executioner and serve any Lord you wanted to. Lord Clerico is always looking for talented magic casters to work for him. Kain, lead him out of here.”
"This is an official business. Outsiders can't interfere."
"Kain is a member of the Gray. He has the right to lead Alek to go see Lord Clerico."
“Kain Almos, don’t do it. This young man can be very dangerous. You were killed and revived yesterday. Consequently, you can't cast-”
Kain smiled as he activated his LYAUR and a giant Thunder Eagle appeared in front of him. Wayne couldn't say anything else because he recognized this Thunder Eagle and was fully aware of its capabilities. This giant Thunder Eagle can cast all Novice, Intermediate, and Master Thunder magic spells. His name is Fundin, and he is the current Emperor of all Thunder Eagles.
All magical creatures that were conjured or summoned into Toria Continents will have their power and level scaled to match with their conjurer/summoner. However, if a Thunder Eagle was conjured by a Legend-tier Conjurer Mage, then it can still only be able to cast Novice Thunder magic spells while being immuned to Novice, Intermediate, and Master Thunder magic spells. Even so, the Novice Thunder magic spells it cast can not be overlooked because it is strong enough to even kill a level 30 magic caster.
Saint-tier Conjurer Mages gained a new ability named [Soul Travel]. This ability allowed their Spiritual Souls to roam into all lower realms in the universe and interact with creatures of those realms fifteen minutes per day. They can use [Soul Travel] to find and defeat strong creatures to create new custom Conjuration Spells that can only be used for themselves.
