Chapter 5: (3/8)
The Blood Mage casted [Warding Wind] thinking that would be enough but soon realized it was a big mistake as the Flaming Phoenix passed through the [Warding Wind] and exploded upon making contact with her. Afraid it would harm the child, the Blood Mage used her body to cover the child while taking full explosion burning damage caused by the Phoenix. The Blood Mage lost concentration and her [Wind Walk] was deactivated as she fell from over a hundred feet above the ground.
“Miss… are you okay?” The child asked the Blood Mage while crying out loud.
“I’m… okay. No… *cough* worry.”
The Blood Mage was heavily damaged but it was not enough to kill her. She casted [Life Drain] to start healing herself using the blood pool inside her Blood Ring. The Fire Mage shook his head and said, “It would take a while for you to fully heal yourself. By that time, you are nothing but a lifeless corpse.” He then casted [Spiral Flame] and a spiral of flame started forming under the Blood Mage’s body. The Blood Mage was laying on the ground and couldn’t run away because her feet were broken.
The Blood Mage casted [Gust] to create a strong wind pressure to blow the child away from her location but will gently place the child unharmed on the ground. This was to keep the child away from the danger of the Spiral Flame. Two seconds later, the Spiral Flame finished forming its path to lock the Blood Mage inside then caused another loud explosion that could be heard miles away. The Blood Mage’s skin was burned to a point all everyone could see was smoke. Her legs and arms were gone as the skull of her head started to twitch.
“I told you that I could have given you a quick death if you tell me how to find the other Blood Mages.” The Fire Mage said.
“You… will… never…”
“Never what? You can’t even-”
The Fire Mage stopped speaking as he saw the Blood Mage’s body starting to deformed. [Abyssal Flesh], level 20 Blood spell that will transform the caster into a Flesh Monster that can recover all of its body parts upon receiving damage. This spell will actively drain the blood pool of the caster until depletion then it will transform the caster back to human form. The caster can deactivate [Abyssal Flesh] earlier to reserve his/her blood pool.
The Blood Mage now turned into a Flesh Monster, screamed out loud, “ALL OF YOU WILL DIE!!!”
She casted [Wind Detection], level 15 Wind spell, to create a ring of wind with a radius of twenty thousand square feet on the ground. All movements and noises inside the radius of [Wind Detection] will be detected. The Blood Mage used this spell so she can have enough time to react to prevent unsuspected harm against the Twin Soul child while focused on fighting with the Fire Mage.
The Fire Mage casted [Fireball] ten times at the Blood Mage, destroying most of her body parts. Those body parts were quickly recovered as the Blood Mage in her Flesh Monster form sprinted toward the Fire Mage at an incredible speed. Over a hundred guards dashed toward the Monster to fight with it so the Fire Mage can have enough time chanting for [Firestorm].
[Firestorm], a level 30 Fire spell that will create a flame tornado with a radius of two thousand square foot locking the targeted enemy inside. If the targeted enemy manages to escape, the [Firestorm] will chase after it. The [Firestorm] will last for three minutes making its the strongest spell of Master-tier Fire Magic.
The Monster finished killing the guards that dared to block its path only then to find a flame tornado appeared and locked it inside. The Fire Mage laughed out loud hearing the Monster screamed in pain as its flesh kept getting burned every millisecond.
Three minutes later, the [Firestorm] faded away. The Fire Mage casted [Fireball] toward the Twin Soul child and attempted to kill her using it. The Fire Mage nodded his head in happiness but then the [Fireball] was reflected by [Warding Wind] leaving him confused.
"There is no way she can live after that, can't she?" The Fire Mage asked himself as he casted another [Fireball] to destroy the reflected [Fireball].
"I SAID ALL OF YOU WILL DIE!" The Flesh Monster screamed out loud to reveal it was still alive.
The Fire Mage started to tremble in fear because he had used the strongest spell he could cast but it was not enough to kill the Monster. There is nothing else he could do. His mana was near depletion. That is why even if he activates [Mana Infusion] now and then casts [Exploding Fireball], it wouldn't change anything. If that Monster can survive [Firestorm], then it will survive another [Exploding Fireball] even with [Mana Infusion] activated using the last remaining of his mana pool.
The Monster charged toward the Fire Mage regardless of its flesh kept getting burned by his [Flame Wall]. The Monster stood tall in front of the Fire Mage as it slammed both of its hands down his head but suddenly [Ice Barrier] appeared to block the Monster's hands.
The Monster turned around looking for the magic caster dared to casted that [Ice Barrier] and then saw a handsome man walk out from the crowd as he said, "Blood Mage, It was I who casted that [Ice Barrier]. What? Do you have a problem with it?"
The Blood Mage observed how calm that Ice Mage spoke, it could feel that the Ice Mage was very confident in his power.
The Ice Mage said, "My name is Aber Hardy. I was invited to join the Blue three days ago. Who could have guessed a new member like me could have had a chance to kill a Blood Mage this early?"
The Flesh Monster charged toward Aber while he casted [Freeze]. After the Monster was frozen, Aber casted [Summon Ice Guardian] and commanded it to protect him. The Ice Guardian spammed [Ice Barrier] on itself and Aber regardless of how many times the Monster broke it. Twenty seconds later, Aber finished chanting [Death Frost] and immediately casted it.
A blue light circle started to form under the Flesh Monster's feet. A second after that, the circle was formed and frozen the Monster then caused it to explode to pieces.
"This should be it. Blood Mage or not, no one can survive that." Aber thought to himself.
Aber was so wrong, the Flesh Monster recovered its body parts and it charged toward him. The Ice Guardian was still spamming [Ice Barrier] spells to protect Aber and itself from this overpower Monster.
Another fifty guards attempted to approach the Twin Soul child but were also received invitations to go see their ancestors in the afterlife by the numerous iron spikes shot out from the Blood Ball. However, they saw the Blood Ball kept getting smaller and smaller which means it will fade away soon. The problem is, which idiots will voluntary sacrifice next to drain away from the power of the Blood Ball?
