Chapter 9: Ch 9, Meeting With Professor.
Our school life was going about as good as two teenagers stuck in a Childs body could go. Which was incredibly boring and easy. Strait A's and some friends, Hermione being one of them surprisingly.
Yep we kind of just clicked what with us being older than we looked, and Hermione being mature for her age. We still play pranks on her from time to time but as we have been doing that since we met her she started to lighten up and even laughs with us. Of-course we thought that keeping magic from her would be one of the best pranks.
"Aisha, Azrael, one moment." Turning around we see Hermione running towards us we stop.
"What is it Hermione?" Aisha asked.
"My family is going to the Aquarium this weekend, I was wondering if you and your family wanted to join us?" She asked excidedly.
"Sorry Hermione but we had plans this weekend with our friend Draco and his family." I told her apologetically. She gained a bit of a pout after I told her though.
"The Draco that goes to another school?" She asked incredulously.
"No he is home schooled, we talked about this with you before, just because you haven't met him doesn't mean that he doesn't exist." I told her chidingly and she rolled her eyes at me.
"Yes yes, then what are you doing with them?" She asked curious and defeated.
"We are going to manipulate one of their colleagues into helping us kill an army of zombies." I told her the truth. She turned and started to storm away.
"When you want to tell me the truth come find me." She told us angerly and turned a corner.
"How long after finding out about magic do you think she will realize we did in-fact tell the truth." Aisha asked me.
"Probably when she learns of Inferi." I replied.
"Lets go it is Friday today so we need to go get the stone." I told her and we walked home.
Later when we got to Little Hangleton we started looking for a word with our magic sense. We didn't know where it was exactly we just knew it was in the forest. Walking around the forest it took a while before I heard something it sounded like a violent song, but a slightly protective one like the violence was to protect something, it was a ward and a violent one at that.
Following the literal magic music we end up at a shack that, for all intents and purposes, was in a state of decay. Rotted wood, bugs all over, and I'm pretty sure that I see some blood stains, it was the Gaunt shack.
"How do you think we bring down the ward?" Aisha asked me.
"Good question, we can see if death magic can weaken it." I told her.
"Don't you think that is a bit of a stretch." She asked concerned and rightfully so.
"Yep it Absolutely is, my thought prosses was that plague involves rot, and rot is a sign of time affecting something to the point that it fails. So I am hoping that magic designed to rot something will make the word fail." After I said that Aisha just gave me an incredulous look.
"Are we sure you're not Insane? Or are you just mentally challenged?" Aisha asked me with the same dead pan stare.
"Oi I'll have you know that I am not mentally challenged, and besides we'll never know unless we try." I told her and she just stared at me more.
"The 'Akashic Records'." She simply stated.
"Don't ruin my fun. Just because I have the 'AR' does not mean I should use it for everything, after all it doesn't know what we did at Malfoy manor. If I rely on it how can I grow, how can I act without it's help when I have always use it. What will I do when the 'AR' isn't there, when I don't have time to take a look at it. The 'AR' is a tool, a partner, and a powerful one at that, but over reliance is a problem." I lectured.
"While yes saying that death magic can kill a ward is a stretch it is one based on fact." I finished. Turning my palm to the word, I push my magic through 'Starry Night' to amplify it and cast a spell to rot the magic in the ward. But it fails.
"Dam didn't work." I cursed with Aisha giving me a smug look.
"I told you so." She said simply.
"I know. Just let me think." I told her. I really thought it would work so why didn't it. Could the magic just not be powerful enough? If so how can I amplify it, like how a binding vow would in Jujutsu kaizen. Wait if a magical vow exists why doesn't a binding vow, magical vows are made between two people, but a binding vow is made with cursed energy. So what if I make a vow with my magic.
"I vow with my magic, that in exchange for having my magic amplified for the next spell I cast, I can't cast magic for a minute." I intoned, but nothing happened. Even the spell I casted was the same.
If that didn't work then what will. Will making the vow with Lady Magic work? So I started to try that next.
"I make this vow to Lady Magic." Pausing there, there was a difference. I could feel my magic shifting, and there was a presence in the air that was not there before.
"In exchange for amplifying my magic for my next spell, I will be unable to cast magic for a minute." I finished and felt as my magic shift and twist, finally amplifying by approximately 50%. Casting the same spell showed that it was stronger but not strong enough to make the word fail.
"Dam it." I exclaimed stomping my foot. I had thought it would really work, but I guess not.
"Do we want to check the 'AR' now." Aisha asked tired of my shit.
"Wait, you can make things right?" I asked.
"Yes?" She answered questioning where this was going.
"Can you make a weapon out of shadow silver." I asked, shadow silver being the silver we made when we added my shade ash to silver.
"What kind of weapon?" She asked to clarify. Giving her a sign to sit and wait, I still had to wait a minute before I could cast magic again.
Starting as I sat down I started to meditate calmed my mind, similar to when we were figuring out what to make Draco's staff out of. See I figured if we are making me a weapon then we should make one that fits me. So as I meditate I think about my self how I move and how I fight, after I can feel my magic once more I push it out and intend for it to form into a weapon that suits me best. It took a minute tor two but when I felt my magic stop leaving me I opened my eyes, and burst out laughing.
The weapon had a pole for a handle and at the end of the pole there was a single curved blade, the whole thing was a transparent blue iconic of magic. It was a scythe.
"Hahahahahha. 'Cough, cough.'" I burst out laughing so hard that I had to cough. Aisha was giving me a strange look and contemplating on whether I was actually crazy.
"Why are you laughing?" She asked and in response I stood up called my shade to act as a cloak and put the scythe over my shoulder. I looked like the very epidemy of death as he is described, a black cloak that acted like a shadowy smoke, cloaking my face in shadows, and a scythe to act as my tool and weapon.
"Wow what an amazing amount of coincidences, or we are in a story with an author that is really laying it on thick with the whole death thing." After Aisha said that we just stared at each other for a bit. Until we both started laughing.
"Hahaha, as if we are only figments of an authors imagination, who just decided one day that they should write a brain baby." Azrael spoke not realizing how right he was.
"Anyways you're right, it is an incredible amount of coincidences that led to this. But can you make the shadow silver in the form of a scythe." I asked Aisha and she gained a pondering look.
"I could but I think only the blade should be made of metal the pole should be some wood." She answered me and she had a point.
"The question is what kind of wood?" I asked and after a pause Aisha gave her suggestion.
"What if we leaned into the whole death theme that your life has been so far?" Aisha had suggested.
I could see the merit in that too, my soul is a dark abyssal black with a white sun that is only there because of my twin bond with Aisha, my magic is geared to soul and death magic, my other half is a shade, hell I'm starting to think that if I became a normal Animagus I would be a Raven, so why should I not. Why shouldn't I lean in on the fact that I am a wizard who has probably the closest ties to Death.
"You're right, but what wood do you think will be a good pick." I asked.
"Why not Elder wood? It is the wood that the Elder Wand is made out of." Aisha answered.
"The Elder Wand was created by Death. So while yes Elder wood does have ties to death, the Wand isn't made of Elder wood. Elder wood is just the closest thing people could equate to whatever wood it is made out of." I shot her down and explained.
"Why don't you check then?" She tempted me.
"I already said no 'AR'." I told her and after she grew a pensive face.
"What if. What if we use dead wood?" Aisha asked and I thought about it.
"Do you mean like driftwood." I stated.
"Yes that's it that is perfect. Think about it driftwood is dead wood that you find drifting from place to place, life to death. You are essentially a soul that is caught in the river to the afterlife. And we use " And as she spoke things started to come into place. Aisha was right that is the very epidemy of a lost soul.
"Alright, we will use driftwood for the shaft, shadow silver for the blade, and we could use runes to keep it in top condition and reinforce it. Then we could make it like a cursed tool." I told her.
"Why would we curse it?" Aisha asked having never seen Jujutsu Kaizen.
"We wouldn't curse it but rather infuse magic into the object. A cursed object is a Idea I got from JJK, when forging a tool they would infuse cursed energy into it or just constantly infuse cursed energy into it. That would turn it into a cursed tool and sometimes giving it a cursed technique. What I want is the scythe to act like a cursed tool called the 'Inverted Spear Of Heaven' which had a cursed technique that allowed it to disrupt other cursed techniques." I explained to her.
"So you want to give the scythe the ability to disrupt magic." Aisha asked to clarify.
"Yes, that is what I want." I agreed.
So we got to work Aisha created the blade and the driftwood shaft, while I started to infuse my magic into the components. Then Aisha put runes on the wood so that it would be unbreakable, once they were written they started to glow brighter and brighter with the shear amount of magic in the wood from me infusing it. I then pushed my magic to make a change, I willed it to make the scythe disrupt magic or mana and I even asked Lady Magic for help to show me how to make it work.
She showed me that I need the magic to act a certain way so I made it that way. It twisted and turned and changed and folded, and finally turned black. I was right when I said death magic can disrupt magic I just didn't do it right.
We then bond the blade to the shaft and hold it with more magic and I pick it up and take a look at it. The shaft was a beautiful reddish-brown with interact patterns in the grains and had a distinct citrus scent and even without the runes it would be surprisingly durable and the runes glowing black, the silver of the blade had shadows flowing off it with more runes engraved on it. The rune scheme was designed to make the wood much more durable and the blade sharper, as well as bonding the blade and wood. The whole scythe looked like it had shadows flowing off it.
"That doesn't look Ominous." Aisha spoke with sarcasm so thick you could use it as butter.
"If you see something with shadows rolling off it, I dare you to convince me it does not look ominous." I told her while spinning the scythe around and behind me and back into my hands to hold it across my shoulders.
"What do you want to call it?" She asked me to avoid my dare.
"That is a good question." I replied letting her slide.
"What about 'Magic Ender'." She asked me with a strait face and I just stared at her.
"Are you serious?" I asked her.
"No I'm Aisha." she replied with a grin and I just gave her and incredulous look.
"Did you just make a Marauders joke?" I asked after a pause and she just looked at me with a even bigger grin.
"Any way, no, there is no way that we will call it such an edgy name." I told her.
"Then what?" She asked and I thought about it. I couldn't think of something that wasn't edgy. So I thought about what it is, it is a scythe off to a bad start, it gives off a shadow, and disrupts magic, it's mere existence is edgy. Fine I guess I will be giving my scythe an edgy name but what.
"Magic Render.' That will be it's new name." Pulling 'Magic Render' back I wined up to slash the ward and 'Magic Render' came down and hit the ward dispersing it lodging itself in the ground.
"Well we know it works." I said slightly surprised.
"Good then let's go." She said walking in front of me to the shack. When we reach the door I brake it down with my Scythe and start pushing it infront of the two of us to destroy any magic infront of us.
We continue this until we reach a bedroom and inside we heard a whisper under a floor board. Lifting the board we found a golden box with a purple velvet inside to act as a cushion for a ring that had the 'Resurrection Stone' as a gem.
"I got it." I said as I shoot a bolt of green light at it pushing the soul fragment out of the ring grabbing the fragment with my magic I pulled it towards me and started to break it down. It's magic, memories, and will were separated into three parts, me and Aisha played rock paper scissors to find out who got the magic, I won and absorbed the magic, gave Aisha the memories, and crushed the will into nonexistent.
Aisha then told me that the memories contained everything up until it's creation which was just after the snake's graduation from Hogwarts. Which means that she has an O's worth of knowledge in most classes, but the important one is runes which, added to what she already knew, was a lot.
"Wait did we ever deal with the diary?" Aisha asked and that stopped me. I turn to look at her with a blank look and spoke.
"No."
"We should probably do that." She said with an equally blank look.
"Lets just take the stone and go home we have several things to do tomorrow." I told her picking up the ring and removing the stone from it. Throwing the ring remnant on the ground we left the house and went home.
The next day we told our parents that we were going to meet Draco's godfather and went to Malfoy Manor. We enter and go to the sitting room to wait for the potions master making small talk. A bit later we hear Snape enter the manor and call for the family so the three of them go to meet him. When the now four of them enter the room Snape's eyes were immediately trained on us. He had greasy black hair, a hooked nose, and shallow skin.
"Who are the two metamorphmagus children." Snape asked with a sneer. Raising my eyebrow at him I grabbed my Scythe and held it with the blade going across the back of my neck the pole in my elbow and in-between my thighs, Aisha on my other side leaning into me.
"These children have an offer for you Severus Snape." I said in a more monotone voice than usual, and as I did his eyes narrow discreetly going for his Wand.
"And pray tell, what can you give me." He asked hand no doubt on his wand.
"Several thing, your freedom, information, a talk with one Lilly Potter." I told him with the most condescending tone ever. When I did tell him that I notice Narcissa raising her eyebrow, Draco looking confused, and Lucius having a knowing look. But Snape had quite the violent reaction and casted a stuner at me. Blocking it with my Scythe, Aisha got off me and hid behind the sofa, and I got up. Snape started casting more violent spells and I kept blocking them with my Scythe, until it went to far.
"Bombarda." He casted at the sofa aiming for my sister. Of-course I caught it with my Scythe but it was the thought that counts. I reach out my hand at him lift him off the ground and slam him into the sealing and then the floor, but he had casted a cushioning charm both times. Then I shot an explosion at him using 'Starry Night'.
The explosion was strong enough to throw him out of the window into the courtyard, but he had a shield up so it did no damage. I was about to follow when I heard someone speak.
"AZRAEL MOIRAI! That is enough!" Turning I see Narcissa giving me a stern look.
"But he almost heart Aisha! That is a line that I will not let anyone cross!" I had raised my voice at her.
"You were the one to antagonis him first! Plus look at what you did to my sitting room!" Narcissa had yelled at me and I notice that the explosion had caused ash to cover everything and even through the table to the other wall. Looking out the windows I see Snape looking at me with a confused look in his eyes but his body showed anger and that he was ready to kill me if necessary, not that he could.
"'Tisk' fine." I clicked my tongue and turned around. Narcissa casted a scourgify and Lucius repaired the windows. Snape came back in a bit later through the door.
"Now you Severus you will not attack a child in my house." Narcissa scolded Snape and he gave her a look.
"That is not a child." He droned pointing at me who had sat down again.
"I'm just barely older than Draco is." I replied to him with a sneer still angry he shot a 'Bombarda' at Aisha.
"Please no child could cast a explosion spell wandless, and you know more than you should." He said sneering at me.
"Mabey you should ask questions before trying to kill people." I retorted.
"Enough, I didn't set up this meeting so the two of you could bicker, I set it up so you could come to an agreement." Lucius finally spoke up cutting off Snape.
"Fine what do you want boy." Snape asked with a sneer.
"Simple in exchange for your help, I will summon the soul of Lilly Potter so you can talk with her, and answer any questions you may have." I answered him.
"What do you want my help with." He asked.
"Simply to help me, the Malfoys, and my sister kill a army of about a thousand Inferi." I replied in a casual tone, the silence was defining.
"You want my help dealing with Inferi." He asked incredulously.
"Yes." I said like it wad obvious.
"And how will you summon Lilly's soul that is quite some dark stuff." He asked in a threatening tone, Draco snorted though and everyone turned to him.
"Why are you snorting son." Lucius asked.
"They gave me a Basilisk for my birthday." He said.
"You snich!" Aisha exclaimed standing up and pointing at him. After her outburst though the room went silent.
"You gave our son a Basilisk." Lucius started.
"For his birthday." Narcissa finish.
"What he said he wanted a snake familiar, so we got him one." I replied and noticed Snape was just starting at us.
"It could have been any kind of snake but you got him the King of Serpents." Lucius asked.
"No we got him a Basilisk, the King of Serpents is the Ouroboros." I politely corrected them.
"That doesn't change the fact that one of the most dangerous creatures have been living in our manor!" Lucius exclaimed.
"A baby one." Aisha had interjected.
"I'm sorry are you saying the two of you made a Basilisk to give my godson for his birthday." Snape droned in what could be mistaken as surprise.
"He is also the reason we need to deal with Inferi. The stone we need to make his staff is at the bottom of the underground lake full of Inferi." Aisha replied.
"Speaking of what are the other parts of my staff?" Draco asked.
"The wood is Hawthorne, the stone is an emerald I think, and the core is of duel nature being made from one of Aisha's feathers with some of my ash covering it." I answered him.
"Fine I'll help you." Snape said and when I looked to him I saw that he was rubbing his temples.
"You could have started with it was for Draco. But that raises the payment." Snape spoke and I raised my eyebrow.
"I do want to talk with Lilly and I have several questions, but I want to know will what you be doing cause her harm." He asked in a very serious tone, and my heart softened for him.
"No it won't cause her harm as long as you keep it short." I told him and he noticeably relaxed.
"Have you heard the 'Tale of Three Brothers'?" I asked him and he looked at me confused.
"Of course I have." He answered me.
"Of-course you have after all your current master has one of the 'Deathly Hollows', the Wand specifically." After I said this everyone but Aisha stiffened. Going to my pocket I grabbed a smooth stone and pull it out.
"I, however, am the owner of the stone." As I spoke this every single person in the room not in the know was starring at my hand where the 'Resurrection Stone' lade.
"Is that what you went to get in Little Hangleton?" Draco asked with reverence realizing the Hollows were very much real. And in reply I turned the stone over three times and said.
"Lilly Potter." As I spoke her name a translucent Lilly appeared with her eyes closed, and she opened them.
