[TS] Starting the Broadcast

Chapter 56 - I'm Sergeant Hani!

A role-play refers to a type of performance where participants are given a certain situation and prompted to react spontaneously according to that situation.
If asked why we planned this content, the answer was simple.
Recently, nearly 50% of the chat content for Wagyu and Lark was related to “military service”.
Wagyu, who is enlisting at the end of this month, and Lark, who is enlisting in November.
Coincidentally, Wang-gae-mi, who they were acquainted with, was also scheduled to come out on regular leave as a private first class, so they exchanged messages in advance and outlined this content.
And as the final touch, they recruited me.
Since I had claimed to be in my 4th year of reserve forces from the first broadcast and had gained fame as a “female BJ who knows the military suspiciously well”, the viewers’ enthusiasm was at explosive levels.

“What is it?”
Still lying down, I turn my head slightly and ask as if bothered.
Lark and Wagyu acting out the roles of nervous privates.
According to the setup, Wagyu was from our living quarters while Lark was from the neighboring one.

“Can I go to the PX with Wagyu?”
“Huh? PX? Privates going to the PX together?”
It’s absurd.
No matter how much they talk about advanced military culture, how dare privates think of going to the PX together?
Back in my day, we couldn’t even think about the PX until we became private first class!
But it wouldn’t do to say that directly due to my sergeant’s image, so I give Wang-gae-mi a signal with my eyes to handle it.
He nods in understanding, then drops his formal posture and stands up.
He bursts out in anger at Lark and Wagyu in front of him.

“Have you all gone crazy together? Huh? Does it make sense for privates to go to the PX together?”
“We, we’re sorry.”
“The, the guys from the 3rd living quarters said they went…”
“Ha. Are you from the 3rd living quarters? Huh? Should I just send you over there? You’re completely clueless newbies.”

His lines were quite realistic, befitting an active duty private first class.
Lark and Wagyu acting out trembling in fear.
And me watching them with an indifferent expression.

-ㅋ Wow… Look at Sergeant Hani’s expression. It’s giving me PTSD. Reminds me of the face of that sergeant bastard watching us rookies getting chewed out.
-For real, there were always those seniors who made others look bad while maintaining their own nice image. Making only the direct senior look bad, while they were actually the final boss.
-But I feel like Wagyu will really be like that in the military? ㅋ He’s already giving off hopeless recruit vibes.

The temporary daily manager helping with today’s content, who was monitoring the viewers’ chat reactions, quietly makes an OK sign with his fingers.
Seeing that, Wang-gae-mi raises his voice even more.

“PX is for private first class, internet cafe is for private first class, gym is for corporal… Isn’t this something you should remember clearly once you’re told? Huh? You can’t memorize this?”
“No, sir!”
“We’re sorry!”
“Does saying sorry end your military service? Huh? And Wagyu, I heard you’ve been slacking off on weapons rack management lately? As soon as you finish lunch, you think about resting. Huh? You don’t think about washing the rags and wiping down every corner of the weapons rack. Should I start checking the cleaning status from today?”

Wang-gae-mi approaches the weapons rack and model weapons made roughly with plastic in the center of the living quarters, pretending to wipe dust with his index finger, his expression hardening.

“Hey, hey. There’s dust everywhere. Life is so easy for privates these days, huh? Doing a crappy job of cleaning and only thinking about going to the PX, every day is new with thoughts of how to deceive the seniors. Isn’t that right?”
“No, sir!”
“We, we’ll clean it right away.”
“Hey, hey, take it easy. You’ll break the kids at this rate.”

I gesture to call Lark and Wagyu over while pretending to stop Wang-gae-mi.
The two approach almost running as Wang-gae-mi steps back with an awkward expression.

“Yeah, yeah. Our youngest… and the youngest from next door. You wanted to go to the PX that badly?”
“No, sir. We’re sorry!”
I sit up.
Then I lightly pat their shoulders as if to say don’t worry.
And I ask.
“Do you happen to have any pretty younger sisters or older sisters in your family or relatives?”
“……”

-ㅋ A woman asking about pretty younger or older sisters ㅇㅈㄹ.
-From the start, a woman lying in the barracks pretending to be a sergeant doesn’t make sense, so why nitpick that? ㅋ
-Hani and a pretty younger sister… I’m into it.

The story that followed was even more outrageous.
Private First Class Wang-gae-mi teaching military songs.

Lark showed off his true colors as a tone-deaf singer while Wagyu sang military songs like ballads.
Of course, this was a setup to make the viewers laugh.
A shower of scolding rains down on the heads of the two.
Again, I cut it off at an appropriate point and call the two closer.
“Any cool older brothers or refreshing younger guys?”
“……”

-ㅋ Hani suspiciously indiscriminate about gender.
-Is this what they call omnivorous?
-But isn’t Hani wearing the military jacket kind of exciting? My ex-girlfriend used to come to my room and wear it playfully saying it was comfortable.
-Teacher above, it’s better to write your delusions about having a girlfriend in your diary.

The role-play continued with a similar concept after that.
Lark and Wagyu showing off their hopeless recruit personas to the fullest.
Wang-gae-mi scolding them, and me cutting it off at appropriate points and turning the situation into comedy.
The atmosphere changed when we covered the screen for a break time and then revealed everyone’s appearance again.

-Urgh! Don’t do this. We’ll all die at this rate!
-This is really giving me PTSD.
-Sis, my hands and feet are shaking and my head feels dizzy.

The bright red drill instructor hat and top that stimulated military veterans’ instincts.
The fact that I was still wearing a mask in that situation was an additional point that made viewers even more triggered, but anyway, I stood in front of everyone transformed into a drill instructor.
And the three sitting with expressions as gloomy as if the world was ending.
This time, Wang-gae-mi was also in the role of being scolded.
I smiled inside my mask and said.
“Do not make eye contact with this instructor!”

-Urgh! Sa, save me. We’ll all die at this rate!
-ㅋ I’m watching but I’m getting goosebumps. This damn training.
-For real, are they really going to do it? Is something big coming?

This was the highlight of the prepared content.

Although it was a role-play prepared with some effort, there were clear limitations.
Since most of the content was related to the military, it was difficult for those who hadn’t served to understand, and there were also parts that were hard to relate to due to differences in practices and irregularities depending on the unit or whether it was in the front or rear areas.
That’s why we included this part.
I, as the drill instructor, throw tricky questions and the three answer.
Then we check the viewers’ reactions.
If the answer is satisfactory, they’ll pass safely due to the viewers’ goodwill, and if they ruin the mood with a clumsy answer, they’ll be punished right away.
The gloomy expressions of the three who had already tasted PT exercise #8 during the pre-practice were not for nothing.
The first question was directed at Wagyu.

“This instructor is not a bad person. So do well and don’t make me a bad person.”

-ㄷㄷ;; The drill instructor outfit suits Hani surprisingly well.
-I wish she would drill me…
-ㅋ The one above will probably get kicked out soon.

“This instructor made a promise during the Blame Others Tournament. It was a promise to visit if you carried. Now I ask. Does Trainee Wagyu think he carried even one game?”
“… Y-Yes, sir!”
“Hooh.”
Wagyu shouts with his eyes tightly shut after a moment of inner conflict.
The manager shakes his head and relays the chat’s reaction.

-ㅋ Wagyu, let’s not throw away our conscience. It’s a bit ugly to claim you carried when you were just carried.
-1/3/6 : He calls this carrying.
-Na
-Rak
-Na
-Rak

“Nooooooooo!”
No more words are needed.
I shook my head firmly and said.
“Prepare for PT exercise #8 full body twist!”
“Pre, prepare…”

“Your voice is too quiet! If you’re like that, this instructor can no longer remain a nice person. Is that okay?”
“Prepare!”

-ㅋ A non-veteran doing PT #8… this is precious.
-Hani noona, drill me too! I feel it well!
[User ManyErogenousZones has been forcibly removed.]
-ㅋ I knew that would happen.

“Raise your head. Raise your head and look at the belt. Don’t lower your legs! We’ll do 5 reps initially. How many reps initially?”
“Fi, five reps…”
“Your voice is too quiet. We’ll do 7 reps.”
“Seven reps!!!”
“Start 7 reps!”
“One, two, three, one!”

Leaving Wagyu gritting his teeth and twisting his body, I stood in front of Wang-gae-mi.
Wang-gae-mi’s face was turning pale, probably remembering what happened a few days ago as he watched Wagyu suffering.
I asked with an evil smile.
“Trainee, answer honestly.”
“Yes, understood!”
He looks very alert.
In this tension, there’s a high chance he’ll spit out the truth without holding back.
“Trainee, you’ve met this instructor several times recently. But sometimes you squint your eyes. Answer honestly. Did you look at the instructor’s chest or not!”
“…!”

-ㅋ Look at that question, it’s crazy.
-Honestly, what man wouldn’t look at that? ㅋ It’d be harder to try not to look. When it’s so visible like that.
-Look at him blinking ㅋ He’s having an intense inner conflict.
-We demand the truth from Wang-gae-mi. Forming the Wang Truth Demand group!

Wang-gae-mi looked back and forth between the cam screen and Wagyu shaking his legs while panting, and finally shouted with his eyes tightly shut.
“I, I looked!”

-ㅋ Crazy. Why is he saying it so solemnly? If someone who didn’t know saw this, they’d think he was an independence fighter about to be tortured.
-Just tell the truth.
-I acknowledge Wang-gae-mi as a real man. Look at that statement with no backtracking. Ah, of course I recorded and captured everything ㅋ I think I can tease him with this for life.

The public opinion in the chat is good.
Confirming the OK sign from the manager, I clicked my tongue in disappointment.
“This instructor highly appreciates the honest answer. Lightly do the duck walk around the living room once and come back. Begin!”
“Be, begin!”
Wang-gae-mi squats down quickly with a relieved expression and starts walking like a duck.
The viewers laugh at that sight.
“……”
“Trainee, come forward to this instructor.”
Lark with a very tense expression.
Whoa, why are you so nervous when this isn’t even the real military?
Seeing his slightly stiff appearance, I suddenly remembered when we did hidden camera content targeting Lark.
He mistook me for Mia and then the following atmosphere that was close to a confession, how flustered he was… On the other hand, his serious attitude as he listened at the end.
So I asked in a mischievous voice.
“This instructor is curious. Trainee, do you perhaps have romantic feelings for Mia as a man?”
As someone who is friends with both Lark and Mia, I’m slightly looking forward to the answer to this question.
What kind of answer will Lark give?
The truth?
Or an answer showing off his unique sense for entertainment?
“No. I think of Mia as a close younger sister.”
“Eh?”
I accidentally let out a strange sound, surprised by the unexpectedly firm and clear answer.
Likewise, the chat was on fire.
Most of the reactions were that they couldn’t believe it.
So to salvage the atmosphere, I had no choice but to ask an additional question.
“Th-Then is there a woman you do have feelings for? This instructor really dislikes lies.”
“……”
Lark didn’t answer and just looked at me.
For a longer time than expected.
In those deep eyes, I saw the ‘truth’.
