Chapter 850 - 846: The Miracle Created by Love
Chapter 850: Chapter 846: The Miracle Created by Love
“Auntie! Uncle’s fingers moved!”
Richelle Dunn quickly called out to Maggie Mitchell.
Maggie turned around abruptly, staring in disbelief at Kennedy Green’s hand.
Both of them held their breath, their four eyes fixed on those few fingers.
Richelle felt like she could hear her own pounding heartbeat. Time seemed to stand still, and after an unknown period, Kennedy’s middle finger moved slightly again.
“Mr. Green, you’re finally listening to me!”
Maggie, excited, grabbed Kennedy’s hand and buried her face in his palm, yelling out in excitement.
You heartless man, making me worry for so long! And making Roy Lewis and Richelle suffer for so long because of you.”
Richelle left the ward to the agitated Maggie and went to find Mr. Chapman to arrange equipment and personnel to give Kennedy a thorough examination.
When everything was arranged, she returned to the ward. Outside the door, she could still hear Maggie’s murmuring voice.
She stopped and sat down in a nearby chair.
Pulling out her phone, she reported the good news to Roy.
“Uncle’s fingers moved a few times, and we will give him a thorough check-up later. I will let you know if there is any new information or good news.”
Roy didn’t reply, probably because he was visiting companies or city facilities with the staff at this time.
Richelle sat in the chair, her head leaning back against the wall, her eyes closed, listening to the soft voice coming from inside the ward.
She couldn’t make out any specific content.
But she thought it must be some happy and joyful old stories.
Because just hearing that voice made her feel so happy that she wanted to cry!
Mr. Chapman quickly arranged all the examination equipment and personnel, and Richelle had to knock on the door, interrupting Maggie’s blissful murmur.
“Can I accompany him for the examination?”
Maggie had always behaved properly and never asked the hospital director for any special favors or exceptions.
But now, she didn’t want to leave him for a moment.
Because she feared that once she left, the beautiful dream would end!
Richelle had just experienced a similar scene, so she empathized with Maggie’s feelings at this moment.
“Of course, you can. Wait outside during the MRI and CT scans.”
Before Maggie could say anything, Richelle added.
“Uncle also wants you to be healthy, and he wouldn’t want you to do anything harmful to your health.”
Maggie hesitated for a moment, then finally nodded in agreement.
“Alright, I’ll listen to you.”
Accompanied by Richelle and Maggie, Kennedy completed all the tests.
The staff responsible for the MRI pushed Kennedy out with a smile, reporting to the two women.
“First Lady, Dr. Dunn, just now, Mr. President slightly raised his palm.”
This rapid progress delighted Maggie.
Even Richelle was amazed in her heart.
Richelle was originally going to visit Mr. Chapman, but now, she called him and sent a message to Nathan Caroule about Kennedy’s condition.
Nathan replied in a blink of an eye.
“That’s great! Mr. Green has finally overcome this big obstacle! Dr. Dunn, you can focus on Mr. Green’s follow-up treatment, I’ll take care of the Lewis Group, so don’t worry too much!”
Richelle replied, “Okay, I won’t be going back today, thanks for your hard work!”
When all of Kennedy’s examination reports were available, Richelle and the hospital director, along with several other responsible parties, discussed them for the entire afternoon, ultimately determining Kennedy’s treatment and rehabilitation plan.
Richelle stayed at the military hospital until evening before leaving. Before she left, Maggie happily told her:
“After the check-up, he raised his palm twice more, once with his left hand and once with his right.”
Richelle opened her arms and hugged Maggie, “Uncle is afraid of you getting angry, so he’s trying to get better quickly to spend the 35th anniversary with you.”
Maggie nodded with tears, “Yes, this shows that he’s been able to hear us all this time.”
…
In the evening, just before dinner, Roy finally called back.
“Richelle, how’s Uncle now?”
Although he spoke quickly, Richelle could clearly feel his joy.
“He moved his fingers a few times and raised his palms slightly three times.”
“Is this a… miracle?”
Roy asked.
Richelle thought for a moment, “Yes, it is!”
“But I think it’s not a miracle but a positive response to him and Aunt Maggie.”
If there really was a miracle, it would be one created by Maggie’s love, bit by bit.
Roy let out a long breath, “Apart from Auntie, of course, there’s also Dr. Dunn’s contributions!”
Richelle clicked her tongue, “Alright, enough flattery. Where are you now? Aren’t you busy?”
Roy replied, “I’m in Pinnial, very busy, about to hang up.”
Richelle nodded, “Take care of yourself, bye.”
“Wait for my call tonight!”
Roy hung up after speaking.
Richelle remembered that in the afternoon, after looking at the examination results with the hospital director and other doctors, they were all amazed at Kennedy’s recovery progress during these days.
But Richelle was not surprised. Because Kennedy’s subconsciousness had always been thinking about his and Maggie’s 35th wedding anniversary!
Having something to hold onto in his heart, he would wake up sooner or later!
