Trembling At A High Altitude

No other passengers boarded the aircraft, and once everyone was seated, the plane headed toward the runway, accelerated, and took off from the ground.

"This Film and Television City is huge!" Li Teng exclaimed as he looked out the window below.

Anna also moved closer to the window to look down.

The plane flew higher and higher, and soon the buildings on the ground became blurry.

"What exactly is this place? What about the world we were originally in? If this performance fails, I'm afraid we'll never have the chance to understand the truth behind this matter," Anna muttered.

"Director, she just asked you, what exactly is this place? What about the world we were originally in?" Li Teng turned back and relayed Anna's question to the director, although Anna had just been muttering to herself.

"No comment." The director coldly responded to Li Teng.

"She won't tell us," Anna sighed.

"Director, you listen too; you know very well whether what I'm saying is true." Li Teng seemed worried that chatting with Anna might leave the director out, so he took every opportunity to engage the director.

Anna couldn't help but roll her eyes at Li Teng again.

"Our original world is gone, something like a nuclear war happened, and overnight, it turned into an apocalypse. We are the lucky ones who were selected and saved, a very excellent group of people. As for the purpose of our selection, I don't have a clue yet, but I guess it might be related to saving the world," Li Teng shared his speculation.

"The apocalypse? Don't spread rumors!" Anna clearly refused to accept Li Teng's statement. If it was actually the end of the world, wouldn't her family be gone already? What would be the point of her efforts here?

"Spreading rumors? When the Titanic sailed out, I knew it would sink, I loudly warned everyone present, I tried my best to stop them, but no one stopped! No one believed me! What happened? Was I spreading rumors?" Li Teng said with a pained expression.

"The Titanic setting sail? Were you even born at that time? Who are you trying to fool?" Anna looked contemptuous as she debunked Li Teng's lie. His statements were always so illogical, bringing up some lesser-known mail ship might have tricked someone, but he had to mention the well-known Titanic.

"I stood there yelling for more than twenty minutes, my throat went hoarse, not only did they not believe me, they wanted to beat me up! In the end, I was chased out of the cinema by the security!" Li Teng said, indignant.

Anna stared at Li Teng, unable to recover for a moment.

The director sitting behind seemed unstable and subconsciously reached out to adjust his mask.

"So, you ended up with an old woman?" Feng Dahai referred to Guo's mother.

"I and she just support each other, not in the way you mentioned," Du Qing said, feeling embarrassed.

Ten minutes later.

"There's something serious I need to discuss with you," Anna said to Li Teng, seeing that he hadn't bothered the director with nonsense for quite a while.

"What serious matter?"

"About this Hell Mode," Anna furrowed her brows.

"Oh? Do you have any ideas?" Li Teng, who had been lying on the seat, sat up straight.

"If only one of the eight of us can survive, I hope we can team up initially, and then fight each other for life and death when it comes down to the last one standing. This way, between the two of us, the likelihood of one surviving would be much greater," Anna seriously suggested to Li Teng.

"Want to hear my honest opinion?" Li Teng smiled.

"Tell me."

"How did they describe you?" Anna was curious.

"They said I have the heart of a wolf and the lungs of a dog."

An hour later, the plane descended from the sky and landed.

It landed at a very busy airport.

Inside the airport, there were about a dozen planes, some taking off and some landing.

Many travelers were dragging their luggage either boarding the planes or descending the gangways.

Arriving at the airport lobby, it too was crowded with people everywhere.

It felt like this place was just like the real world?

Li Teng and Anna looked around in surprise, and then exchanged glances.

They seemed to be consulting each other... If this was the real world, should they try to escape or seek help from the airport police?

They quickly abandoned the idea.
