Trembling At A High Altitude

"Director Hu and all of us were recruited here through extensive advertising, offering treatments at low costs as bait to gather various mental patients, both with and without the specified symptoms."

"The research center had been operating for over a year. We were merely using these patients for experiments, not intending to harm them or endanger their lives. However, patients frequently disappeared from the research center, and by the time they were found, only their limbs remained."

"I...I..." Chen Ziwen suddenly clutched his neck and then struggled to open his mouth. Suddenly, it was as if a gigantic hand had grabbed and lifted him into the air by his neck.

Then, amid screams, he was torn apart, his arms and legs dismembered, and his body shredded into pieces, scattering across the office.

The female actors were petrified, screaming continuously, then they looked at Li Teng in utter fear.

"It wasn't me," Li Teng said innocently.

He was just trying to intimidate Chen Ziwen.

Who knew that right after he spoke, Chen Ziwen was actually torn to pieces by mysterious power!

Everyone else thought Li Teng had done it.

How could anyone be this unlucky?

"It really wasn't me," Li Teng said, seeing the female actors still did not believe him and continued to stare at him in fear, he explained once more.

"It wasn't him," Elsa was the first to recover, considering the Film and Television City had just cracked down on cheats. It was unlikely Li Teng had any superpowers now, and besides, what good would killing Chen Ziwen do for him? He hadn't even finished asking his questions!

"That... that... the person, or ghost, who did this... isn't that too terrifying?" Wang Min spoke a few sentences.

"Could it be... that faceless model?" a girl asked in a low voice.

A dense fog suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

The fog dispersed throughout the room, pulling Chen Ziwen's mutilated limbs together, and then began to reassemble them. Several minutes later, Chen Ziwen's face showed a pained expression as he came to consciousness.

Seeing the fog, he trembled uncontrollably, seemingly terrified to the extreme.

The fog reconvened and gradually formed the illusion of a man within as it solidified, ultimately becoming a solid figure standing on the office floor.

"Director." Chen Ziwen was scared, but respectfully stood bowing in front of the man.

"Were you about to expose my deeds just now?" the man formed from the fog, revealed to be Director Hu of the rehabilitation center.

"No, absolutely not!" Chen Ziwen quickly swore.

"No matter if he knows, let him continue the investigation. What if he discovers the truth? He doesn't understand how to utilize the capabilities of the wronged souls! With his foolish brain and frail human body, he thinks he can oppose me? Dream on!" Director Hu scoffed.

"Director, why not eliminate him now to prevent future trouble?" Chen Ziwen posed a question to Director Hu.

"That female model is protecting him closely, I'd rather not waste my mana on them for now. But in three days, once my grand achievement is complete, no one will be able to stop me. All those beautiful wronged souls by his side will become my toilet! I will destroy them one by one right in front of him... Ha ha ha ha..." Director Hu burst out laughing.
