Trembling At A High Altitude

Li Teng decided to continue exploring the cave.

After three days of labyrinth exploration, Li Teng had hunted over a hundred Bear Rhinoceroses before he finally reached the final level.

The space inside the cave where the BOSS resided.

It was an Octopus Monster.

It was the same four-meter-tall Octopus Monster that had captured Li Teng and Liu Yin and taken them to the Mucus Cave.

Behind it, there was a shining chest.

It lay there silently, beckoning to Li Teng.

But Li Teng had no chance of approaching it.

As soon as he slightly neared it, he would be clumsily captured by the tentacles of the Octopus Monster, tightly wound up, and then thrown out of the cave.

Li Teng's Alloy Spiked Hammer was completely ineffective against the tentacles of the Octopus Monster.

Li Teng heard fear in its roar.

Scenes of being humiliated and tortured by it flooded his mind, making anger swell in his heart. He charged forward and unleashed a frenzied spree of hacking, severing tentacle after tentacle until the Octopus Monster was left with a bare body, which he then chopped into segments.

It was as if he was cutting meat on a chopping board.

Li Teng had only fought it once before, but this time he easily slew it.

That didn't mean that hunting this boss was easy.

Without nearly two months of training, Li Teng could never have achieved this.

He had finally kept his promise to Liu Yin.

He could take it back and roast it to eat.

One key, and one breastplate.

Li Teng guessed the key was most likely used to open the alloy door of the basement.

Just like when he first hunted the Bear Rhinoceros, Li Teng had been kicked in the chest by one, breaking several ribs.

Wearing this breastplate, if he were kicked in the chest again, he would just be knocked flying as a whole, and probably his ribs would not break.

Li Teng packed some of the Octopus Monster's tentacles and body into the storage space, ready to head back.

But then, a white fog swept over and forcefully teleported him back.

It was eleven fifty-nine.

When Li Teng was teleported back, Liu Yin was also teleported back.

She had just been running at the entrance of the stone cave.

Although Li Teng no longer needed to run there, she had not completed the level yet and had to run through it first. This was a copy that Li Teng had broken through, and she was just starting.
