Trembling At A High Altitude

The imagined army, tanks, and soldiers did not appear.

However, amid the fog, heavy and dense hoofbeats could be heard.

There were also the roaring of wild beasts.

The situation seemed very ominous.

Arriving at the Hunting Cabin, the Bear Rhinoceroses directly charged with their horns toward the cabin's walls, creating deep pits upon impact and rapidly forming numerous cracks; then with another strike, a loud 'thump!' sounded as the wall was breached with a large hole which the Bear Rhinoceroses charged through.

Seizing the opportunity, Li Teng swung the Spiked Hammer hard.

The Bear Rhinoceros that charged in had a bloody hole smashed into its face and fell toward the wall screaming, but it quickly got up again, kicked its hooves, and charged at Li Teng with its horn.

Li Teng dodged nimbly.

Just then, another Bear Rhinoceros with a loud 'thump!' made a large hole in the wall beside Li Teng, charging at him with the huge inertia of its body and horn.

Amid Li Teng's screams, the horn pierced through his torso, tossing him across to another wall.

Then, that wall too was broken through, and another Bear Rhinoceros charged in, scooping up Li Teng's recently landed body and flung him out into the open ground.

Following close behind was Liu Yin, equally severely injured.

In the intensity of the recent fight, Li Teng couldn't take care of Liu Yin, who suffered no less than he had.

As more than a dozen Bear Rhinoceroses converged from all sides, opening their gaping maws ready to tear into Li Teng and Liu Yin, a terrifying roar sounded, making the Bear Rhinoceroses about to bite them back away trembling with fear.

An Octopus Monster, over four meters tall and fully covered with tentacles resembling those of an octopus, appeared amid the fog.

It stretched out several tentacles, tightly wrapping around the bodies of Li Teng and Liu Yin on the ground, walking deeper into the fog.

Deep within the fog, there was a massive spherical dense white fog.

The Octopus Monster entered this massive dense white fog sphere with Li Teng and Liu Yin.

Li Teng and Liu Yin, tightly bound and unable to move, felt their senses blur as if the time and space around them were being torn apart and then reassembled.

When they regained consciousness, they found themselves in a huge cave with walls that seemed to be made of flesh, filled with mucus everywhere.

The cave contained some glowing crystals that illuminated the entire space incredibly brightly.

Their bodies were wrapped by tentacles protruding from the walls or, rather, flesh walls, hanging from the cave walls. They could not move, except for their arms and legs.

These tentacles were exceptionally strong; it was impossible to break free with mere human arm strength.

Li Teng's arms and legs, previously armored with alloy, were nowhere to be found.

Looking around, Li Teng and Liu Yin noticed that the others, including Elsa, Gao Fei, Huang Xun, Luo Bijiao, and the couple Guo Haopeng, had all been captured here and were stuck to the flesh walls by tentacles just like them.

However, there was a silver lining.

The severe injuries inflicted by the Bear Rhinoceros they had previously suffered seemed to have been healed by these tentacles.

"Everyone's here? This scene is disgusting! Too disgusting! What in the world is this place?" Huang Xun complained.

"An alien lair?" Elsa guessed.

"No way! Are they going to breed in our bellies? What kind of crappy plot is this? Can it not be so perverted?" Huang Xun cursed.

"When did I curse the director?" Huang Xun quickly defended himself.

"This director must be psychologically twisted, right? What's with these lousy plots? Breaking limbs? Aliens? Torturing for fun? It's sick! I'm not acting anymore!" Luo Bijiao had just arrived, and since Huang Xun had not really told her the rules, she cursed the director without any psychological burden.

"Hehe, you don't want to act? Continue courting death then!" Finding Luo Bijiao's fury amusing, Huang Xun felt a perverse pleasure.

"Li Teng, have you found a way to break out? Let's leave this place quickly!" Elsa shouted to Li Teng.

They released a liquid that was many times more corrosive than concentrated sulfuric acid, possibly containing a powerful digestive enzyme that could digest muscles into nutrients that they could consume. It dissolved the muscles in their arms and legs.

Amid heart-wrenching screams, the muscles in the limbs of the eight people gradually vanished, leaving only bones.

However, they could neither die nor pass out.
