Trembling At A High Altitude

The director hesitated for a moment before awarding Du Qing one point for his answer.

"Anna, last time you mentioned that your cellphone was a special reward for advancing in the performance. What other special rewards are there for advancement? I remember you said you ranked sixth, does everyone who advances get a cellphone?" Although Elsa had fewer than fifty points in her account, she decided to ask her question earlier upon hearing that Anna was leaving.

"After advancing, there's a lottery draw. The first prize is a high-end wristwatch, which I didn't win, so I don't know what features it has, but you can take the wristwatch back to the Pillar. The second prize is a cellphone that lets you know when the next show starts, but you can't tell others or the feature will be disabled. Moreover, the cellphone can't be taken back to the Pillar; it must be left at the airport when you leave," Anna said, glancing at Li Teng.

Li Teng finally understood why Anna would always tap on his forehead instead of directly telling him about this.

"The third prize is 100 points, which means your registration fee is completely covered. The fourth prize is either a bottle of mineral water or a bag of bread. You can take the water or bread to the top of the Pillar, and you have to choose one of the two," Anna finished answering Elsa's question.

"I remember you were the sixth to advance, how did you manage to get the second prize?" Elsa was still puzzled.

"It's a spinning wheel lottery. The person in first place draws first, followed by the second place, and so on. The first prize occupies about sixty percent of the wheel, second prize is about twenty percent, I guess? Third prize is ten percent, and fourth prize is also ten percent. "You're quite lucky!" Elsa said with an envious expression.

"I'm doing okay," Anna pursed her lips, considering she had been rather lucky until before meeting Li Teng.

As for after meeting Li Teng, could she say her luck was good, having been through Hell Mode twice? But having survived Hell Mode twice and earning an extra 160 points, she could even consider a second advancement performance. Could she really say her luck was bad?

"The wristwatch..." Li Teng glanced at the director, recalling that he seemed to have a wristwatch on his wrist, occasionally visible out of his sleeve.

The wristwatch was a reward tier above Anna's cellphone and could be taken back to the Pillar; it must have some powerful functions, perhaps even better than knowing the interval between two shows in advance, right?

If he participated in the advancement performance, he would strive for the first place to win that wristwatch.

At the very least, getting the cellphone wouldn't be too bad. Even if Anna left, he would still be able to figure out the interval between two shows on his own.

Li Teng had already decided about the 100 points.

Before leaving this time, he would register at the terminal for the advancement performance instead of lowering the height of the Pillar.

The director awarded Anna two points for this question.

After Elsa's question, it was Gao Fei's turn to ask Du Qing.

"What was your advancement performance about, and what special reward did you get?" Gao Fei asked Du Qing.

Having no other questions in mind after hearing Elsa's, Gao Fei decided to ask about the same topic. The Extras were now fairly familiar with the basic rules and were mostly interested in the details of the advancement performances.

"My advancement performance was a battle royale-style gunfight, where rankings were based on survival time. Not long after the show started, before I had figured out what was happening, I was shot in the head. Luckily, someone got shot before I did, so I wasn't the last one. As for rewards, the others took all the good prizes, and I ended up with only a bottle of water. Mineral water is more useful than bread because, at least, you can keep the bottle to collect rainwater," Du Qing earnestly answered the question.

The director still only awarded Du Qing 1 point as a reward.

Then, it was Li Teng's turn to ask a question to Anna.

Li Teng actually didn't have much left to ask.

The question he was prepared to ask had already been asked by Elsa.

He now knew basically everything he needed to, and what he didn't know, Anna didn't know either.

So even if he wanted to help Anna earn points by collaborating, it was hardly possible.

"After we return to the top of the stone pillar, can we get food and water? How can we get food and water? Could you be more specific?" Li Teng asked Anna a question that was previously worth 5 points.

"This question has already been asked, please choose a different question." The director immediately stopped Li Teng's attempt to earn points.

"Does it have to be this way ..." Li Teng sighed, the director really wasn't giving any face!

Li Teng didn't know that the director couldn't afford to give face on this matter; the questions and point rewards had to be recorded and reported, and repeated questions couldn't receive free points rewards. The most authority she held was to give 2 points for answers worth 1 point, or 1 point for those worth 2, and so on.

"Listening to you, you'll be leaving the crew after the next scene. Do you have any advice for us newcomers?" Li Teng changed the question, which actually was the same one posed by Huang Xun, just to help Anna earn a normal point.

He really couldn't think of any other better question.

"Be honest in acting, don't always think about setting people up; set up too much, and you'll suffer consequences, you might even go to Hell again," Anna answered Li Teng.

"What an honest answer!" Huang Xun gave Anna a thumbs up.

"When have I, such a kind person, ever set someone up?" Li Teng was very dissatisfied with Anna's response.

The others didn't make a sound but just looked at the bloody stone that Li Teng had thrown on the table.

After hesitating for a moment, the director awarded Anna 2 points for her answer.

Du Qing's expression looked very unpleasant. It was the same question and he used more words than Anna, yet the points reward he received was only half of what Anna got.

Finally, it was Bunny Girl's turn to ask Du Qing a question.

"You don't need to ask him anything, just give up your chance to ask this time. If you have any questions I'll answer them, all free of charge," Li Teng stopped Bunny Girl.

"Is that really okay?" Du Qing looked at the director.

Bunny Girl hesitated for a while but ultimately chose to follow Li Teng's advice.

Du Qing wouldn't be here for the next scene, but Li Teng would be.
