"Tree of Crystal Petals"

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: My father knows how to use Fūinjutsu

Kiseki couldn't sleep all night due to the excitement he felt. At last, he was about to experience firsthand what he had seen so many times in his favorite series, Naruto. As a devoted transmigrator to the ninja world, he was filled with emotion and expectations. However, the great dangers of this new world also worried him. Even so, all those risks paled in comparison to the extraordinary things one could achieve.

How exciting! At last, I'll try to awaken my chakra, he thought as he got lost in his thoughts. He felt he was taking a firm step into this new world, one full of dangers but also infinite possibilities.

I must achieve it. For myself, for my family... and for my little sister, he told himself with determination before sleep finally claimed him.

The next day, as the first rays of sunlight peeked through, Kiseki woke up with a start. Wasting no time, he ran to his father's room, shouting excitedly:

"Dad, it's today, it's today!"

Kizashi, who was still peacefully sleeping, smiled upon hearing his son's shouts and replied:

"Alright, sweetheart. Today I'll teach you how to awaken your chakra. But first, we need to have breakfast."

"Dad! But I can eat later," Kiseki said, pouting.

Seeing him so adorable, Kizashi couldn't resist ruffling his hair as usual and said:

"No way, champ. If you eat, it'll be easier to awaken it since chakra combines spiritual and physical energy."

Kiseki, understanding, quickly nodded.

"Okay!" he said as he practically dragged his father to the kitchen.

Kizashi prepared the typical breakfast his son loved so much. However, this time he added a red powder, making the eggs and bacon turn a reddish hue instead of the usual yellow.

Kiseki, curious, asked:

"Dad, why does it look red? What's that powder you added?"

Kizashi smiled before answering:

"This powder stimulates chakra in people, making it easier to unlock. It was created by the Third Hokage during the Third Great Ninja War due to the shortage of ninjas."

"Wow!" Kiseki exclaimed, surprised. As he thought, he recalled: "In the original series, they never mentioned ingredients or foods that helped unlock chakra... Well, better for me. I'm not complaining!"

After finishing breakfast, Kiseki ran to brush his teeth and headed to the yard, but before he could step out, he heard his father's voice:

"Kiseki, we won't be doing it in the yard."

"Then where will we do it, Dad?" he asked, puzzled.

"In the basement," Kizashi replied.

"We have a basement?!" Kiseki exclaimed, surprised.

Kizashi smiled and simply said:

"Follow me."

Kiseki followed him through the house to a room used for storing groceries. At first glance, it was a room full of shelves and food, decorated with a carpet on the floor.

"Dad, there's nothing here," Kiseki said, confused.

Kizashi smiled again, and after performing a hand seal, the carpet disappeared, revealing a set of stairs.

Kiseki, astonished, thought: "My dad knows Fūinjutsu? How is that possible? In the series, they never showed anything like this."

As Kizashi began descending, he looked back at his son and said:

"Aren't you coming, Kiseki?"

Kiseki, snapping out of his amazement, quickly replied:

"I'm coming, Dad!" and followed him down.

After five minutes of descending stairs, they finally reached the basement, a space much larger than Kiseki had imagined. It was enormous, the size of the entire ground floor of the house, including the yard. There were several rooms, but Kiseki decided he'd explore them later.

"First things first: awaken my chakra!" he thought excitedly.

Finally, they reached a large room. Kizashi performed another seal, and the door opened, revealing an even larger room, perfect for training.

"Alright, Kiseki. To awaken your chakra, first, observe what I do," Kizashi said, sitting in a meditative posture.

"Chakra is the essence of all living beings. It's in people, animals, and even in nature itself: in leaves, the earth, trees, and more. It's the foundation of life, present in every one of our cells," Kizashi explained.

Before he could continue, Kiseki interrupted:

"But, Dad, if chakra is in all living beings, why don't some, like trees or grass, use it?"

Kizashi, noting his son's curiosity, replied:

"That's what I was about to explain, champ. As I said, chakra is life itself and is present in everyone. But not all living beings can use it consciously. Animals, for instance, can use chakra, but their way of utilizing it is much less refined than humans in most cases. However, there are sacred places where animals have better chakra control than we humans. On the other hand, trees and grass lack the ability to channel or control it. If they could, imagine how the world would change!"

Kizashi finished with a smile, leaving Kiseki completely awestruck. Although he already knew some things from his past life watching Naruto, hearing his father's explanation filled him with wonder.

"Dad, can we start now?" Kiseki said, excited.

"Alright, enough theory. Let's put it into practice," Kizashi replied, smiling.
