Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 179: Heading to the Gate Leading to the Outside World

The moment the Treasure appeared, a fluctuation of Energy was emitted.

Subsequently, everyone present was captivated by the transparent Crystal Ball Alka produced, which exuded a pink mist.

Looking at the few people before him, Alka said, "Touch it. This way, you can all gain wondrous power and know of my safety; likewise, I will be able to know of yours."

This was because they were entitled to this Treasure.

Upon hearing Alka's words, Boka looked up at him, his eyes wide with shock, as if seeing Alka for the first time.

He couldn't help but exclaim, "You've really achieved great things out there! Now I can truly rest easy."

Alka listened to Uncle Boka and nodded with a smile. "If I didn't have some abilities, how could I have dared to venture out?"

Watching their cryptic exchange, Aunt Marsi felt a little displeased, feeling somewhat left out.

"Alright, everyone, reach out and touch it," Alka said.

He then looked up at Jenna and nodded to her as well.

Aunt Marsi's family extended their hands and touched the Crystal Ball simultaneously.

This was the first time Alka had conducted this ritual for others.

When he had undergone it himself, he had been the one experiencing it directly. Now, watching as an observer, everything seemed much clearer.

Pink mist spread from the Crystal Ball and flowed into their bodies. Just a small wisp of this mist was enough to activate the Magic Power within them.

Alka could clearly sense their Magic Power beginning to surge, the emitted fluctuations strikingly apparent.

He watched them close their eyes. About half an hour passed before they opened them again. Does the ritual really take this long? Alka mused, recalling his own experience. When I touched it, it seemed to be over in just a moment.

"What is this inside my body?" Siegert asked, opening his eyes and looking at Alka.

Alka nodded. Seeing the slightly bewildered expressions of the others, he began to explain.

He covered what Magic Power was, why they were experiencing these changes, the nature of Magic Power Circuits, and the benefits that possessing Magic Power could bring.

He also touched upon so-called Spells, the true nature of their world, the Extraordinary World, and other fundamental knowledge.

Alka patiently explained these things to them, much like a mentor.

Since it was all fundamental information, it wasn't difficult to grasp. In fact, for them as residents of Home Island, such concepts weren't entirely unfamiliar.

With Alka's explanations, they could readily connect these new ideas to things they had already experienced, such as the island's Priests, the grand ceremonies held during festivals, and certain boons or blessings they had witnessed. These were all familiar parts of life for the islanders.

When they heard they could become healthier, less prone to illness, and stronger, genuine smiles spread across their faces.

For them, concepts like strange Spells were difficult to comprehend, but the promise of good health was something they deeply valued and truly needed.

"Although simply undergoing this ritual won't make you incredibly powerful, you'll at least gain the ability to protect yourselves," Alka explained.

This was his way of expressing gratitude to Aunt Marsi's family, not only for himself but also on behalf of his body's previous owner.

After explaining various important matters, Alka materialized several thick books and some annotated booklets, handing them all over.

"These contain more detailed information about the Extraordinary World. It's always good to understand more."

Then, an unlit oil lamp appeared in his hand, and he placed it on the table as well.

"When this oil lamp is lit, its light can stabilize your Circuits. Under its glow, Meditation will be faster, allowing your strength to increase more rapidly."

This oil lamp was one of the Treasures Alka had found. It was of little use to him, but it would be far more beneficial for Aunt Marsi and her family.

After all, Alka's own Meditation Method could stabilize Circuits much more powerfully, allowing Meditation to proceed rapidly. His method was countless times more effective than this lamp.

Seeing Aunt Marsi about to refuse, Alka quickly said, "Please don't decline. This item is useless to me now. Use it without worry."

A brief exchange followed, with Alka primarily answering their questions.

As for his own Meditation Method, Alka decided not to share it with them.

The Archbishop had warned him against disseminating this particular method.

Within the Homeland Sea, this Meditation Method wouldn't offer significant advantages, unless one intended to leave this region.

"Well then, I'll take my leave," Alka announced.

With that, he bid everyone farewell and returned to his small courtyard next door. He lay on the familiar wooden bed in the spotless room, staring up at the ceiling.

Soon, he fell into a deep sleep.

「Early the next morning.」

Alka woke early and followed the path to the center of the Island.

In the cemetery, he gazed at two adjacent tombstones.

There were still some offerings on them, clearly placed there no more than a few weeks ago. Aunt Marsi and her family must have visited recently, he thought.

After speaking a few words before the graves and performing a brief act of remembrance, Alka returned to the port.

He boarded the Swallow and departed, Siegert's farewell calls echoing behind him.

「A month had passed since Alka bid farewell to Aunt Marsi and her family.」

Through the Church's diligent observations, the precise timing of the Day of Convergence had now been successfully predicted.
