Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 172 Return Voyage_3

Chadite chuckled. "It's Dream Entry. I can freely enter my own dreams, but only my own. In other words, even without Alka needing to touch me in a dream, I can become lucid and awaken whenever I wish."

Upon hearing Chadite's words, everyone nodded in understanding. After all, Alka had used them as test subjects when experimenting with his Treasures before. So, most of them had experienced the sensation of becoming aware within a dream and could easily understand the ability of Chadite's Spell.

"That's not bad at all! This Spell should be considered a rather important functional one," one of them commented.

The core ability of the Dream Catcher was supposedly to navigate the Dream Realm freely. Waking within one's own dream and entering it at will was considered more of a secondary ability. However, it was undoubtedly one of its primary functions, making this a significant gain.

This suggested Chadite was quite talented in comprehending Spells. Otherwise, he wouldn't have grasped such a core Spell so soon after becoming a 'Toucher.'

But anyway, comprehending this Spell considerably brightened Chadite's mood for the day.

The others all took a turn touching it, but gained nothing.

At this moment, Alka looked at Juanlu, who was standing blankly to the side.

"How about you? Want to give it a touch? Maybe you'll comprehend a fascinating Spell."

"Me?" Juanlu pointed to himself.

He hadn't expected he could partake; Treasures were so precious! In his worldview, they were the most valuable and powerful things in existence. Was he even qualified to touch such an item? And weren't these people being far too trusting of him? As this crossed his mind, he shook his head again. Considering their strength versus his own, what threat could he possibly pose anyway?

Seeing Juanlu's expression, Alka smiled and nodded. "If you don't mind, give it a touch. Who knows, you might comprehend a Spell."

This was indeed a huge temptation, one that Juanlu found hard to refuse.

He nodded with difficulty and approached.

Carefully, as if on a holy pilgrimage, he gently stroked each of their Treasures.

Although nothing happened and he comprehended no Spell, for Juanlu, this experience was already exceptionally good.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but look at the group and ask, "Who exactly are you people? You possess so many Treasures; it's a bit overwhelming."

The sheer number of Treasures Alka and his companions possessed had somewhat shattered Juanlu's worldview; here, Treasures seemed almost commonplace.

Hearing this, Alka chuckled. "We're just an ordinary Treasure Hunting Team that loves adventure, that's all. These Treasures are merely the spoils of our hunts. No need to be surprised."

Four Treasures, and he's not supposed to be surprised? Then what kind of situation *would* be surprising? Juanlu couldn't help but silently grumble. These people are acting far too nonchalantly.

But regardless, he still nodded, thoroughly convinced, for it only demonstrated just how formidable these people before him were.

The rarely seen Three Spirals... from their earlier conversation, it sounded like they already possessed three of them! And they were so knowledgeable about Treasures. Not to mention, they were all so young, except for Pororo and Julia, who looked somewhat older. He had truly boarded an incredible ship. He couldn't help but wonder if he'd be silenced upon disembarking for knowing too much. As his thoughts ran wild, Juanlu felt a chill of fear. Then again, worrying was pointless. He was too weak and couldn't resist them anyway. So, what was the use of thinking about it? With that, he managed to calm himself down again.

"Alright, everyone, let's start our return journey now. We won't be making any stops along the way."

Saying this, Alka turned to Juanlu and asked, "This time, our destination is the Great Cathedral. Would you be alright with disembarking there?"

Juanlu shook his head. "No problem. I was planning to loop back there anyway, so that's perfect."

Besides, disembarking at the Great Cathedral sounded quite safe.

Hearing no objections from Juanlu, Alka nodded.

With Pororo at the helm, they began their voyage back.

From their current position, returning to the Great Cathedral would normally take a little over two months. If sea conditions were favorable, they might arrive in exactly two months, but if conditions were poor, it was anyone's guess.

...

Thankfully, the sailing conditions on this leg of the journey were quite decent.

They ended up taking a little over three months to reach the waters of the Blood Gold Alliance. After passing through it, they arrived in the waters controlled by the Holy Mother Church. They would reach the Church in a few more days.

Why, after taking over three months, was it said that the sailing conditions had been decent?

It was because, midway through the journey, Alka, wanting to give Juanlu a taste of their treasure-hunting process, had specifically sought out a promising blue-grade Treasure to explore. This firsthand experience of treasure hunting was immensely appealing to Juanlu, who inherently possessed an adventurous spirit. It greatly piqued his interest, especially since Alka and the others would occasionally discuss various fascinating pieces of information and lore. They also subtly hinted at the existence of an 'outside world,' though never explicitly, just dropping a line or two into their conversations from time to time. This was all done to further ignite Juanlu's curiosity.

It could be said that the few people on the ship had gone to great lengths, employing all sorts of 'schemes and ploys,' to convince Juanlu to stay. This was because, over the past month, they had been utterly conquered by Juanlu's culinary skills. Alka couldn't bear the thought of returning to the days of Jason's cooking if Juanlu were to leave. It would be like falling from Heaven into Hell.

Ascending from simplicity to refinement is easy; descending from refinement to simplicity is hard.

The others felt the same way.

Thus, everyone was united in this endeavor.

Meanwhile, Juanlu did his utmost to showcase his culinary talents, desperately hoping Alka and the others wouldn't decide to silence him for knowing too much.

And so, with both parties harboring their own unspoken intentions in this peculiar atmosphere, they sailed on until they reached the waters of the Church.
