Transmigrating as an Extra, But the Heroine Has Regressed?!

Chapter 210: Bringing the Party!

(This is the timeline I barely remember from the future…) Elysia thought.

Kael was standing a few steps away from her.

She forced a faint smile, hiding the conflict inside her.

"Kael," she called. "I'll take this path. You go the other way."

Kael turned toward her, blinking through the smoke.

"The other way?" He pointed.

"That leads deeper into the destroyed house. Is it safe?"

"Yes," Elysia replied smoothly.

She extended a finger toward the shadowed trail, pretending to examine the map in her hand.

"That direction is safer. Search for survivors. Some villagers might still be hiding."

"Alright," he said, nodding. "I'll check it out. Don't take risks."

"I won't," she replied.

(Forgive me… but this is the only way.)

Elysia tightened her grip on the hammer she had secretly picked up from the ground—a heavy blacksmith's tool left behind by fleeing villagers.

As soon as Kael began to move, she waited until his back was fully turned. Then, with a swift, silent motion, she hurled the hammer from nearby her.

THUD–CRASH!

The hammer slammed into a pile of rocks and dry wood, sending a loud clatter echoing through the village.

Kael spun around at once. "Someone's there!" he muttered.

(That sounded like metal… a villager might be trapped.)

Without another thought, he adjusted his sword and sprinted toward the sound.

Unbeknownst to him, far beyond the broken treeline, the demon also approached him.

BOOM…

BOOM…

BOOM—shook the earth.

Kael slowed his steps. He raised his sword. The trees trembled as a hulking figure emerged from the smoke.

A giant demon stepped in.

"...Great," Kael said to himself. "Of course it couldn't just be a villager."

The demon charged forward with surprising speed for its massive size, claws slashing through houses like twigs.

Kael barely rolled aside as a massive claw smashed into the ground where he'd been standing.

Dirt and splinters erupted into the air.

(Too strong to fight head-on… I need to head for the backup)

The demon lunged again, swinging a massive arm. Kael ducked under the attack, feeling the wind of its swipe graze his cheek.

His boots skidded on loose earth as he leapt back, slashing with his sword in a quick counterattack.

Sparks flew as the blade scraped against the demon's armored scales—leaving only a shallow scratch.

"Damn… he is very tough," Kael hissed.

The demon snarled and brought down both fists like twin boulders.

Kael dodge sideways, rolling behind a fallen tree as the ground shook violently.

His heart pounded, but his eyes stayed locked on the creature. He moved like a shadow, striking only when openings appeared, each swing aimed at softer gaps between the demon's scales.

But the beast was relentless, its strength far beyond anything he'd fought before.

Meanwhile, Elysia rejoined the main group near the ruined bridge where Edwin, Jin, and Alina were gathering villagers.

The frightened survivors clung to one another as Alina worked to heal minor wounds with mana.

Edwin stood like a wall , sword at the ready to guard them.

"Elysia!" Isolde ran up. "Where's Kael?"

Elysia kept her expression calm.

"He said he was searching for survivors deeper," she replied.

"But we've already saved everyone we could find," Edwin said.

"Why would he go alone? There's nothing out there but—"

A thunderous crash cut him off.

BOOOM!

BOOMM!

The earth beneath their feet trembled as distant trees toppled one after another. Dust rose above the canopy thick like choking clouds.

"What the hell was that?" Jin shouted, pointing toward the sound.

Another roar echoed from the forest, deep and monstrous. The villagers screamed and huddled together.

Edwin's eyes widened.

"That does not look normal… Kael's still out there!"

(This is it… the same moment I remember from the future. The demon's appearance… this is it and i let Kael face alone.) Elysia thought.

"Stay with the villagers," she ordered.

"I'll check the perimeter with Edwin and Jin. Selene, keep guarding the bridge. No one crosses until I say so."

Back in the village, Kael's fight grew intense.

The demon roared again and swung a claw the size of a tree trunk. Kael leapt onto a boulder, using it to spring over the creature's shoulder.

WHAM!

The force of the impact hurled him backward.

He slammed into a tree, bark splintering under the blow.

Pain exploded through his ribs, but he gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand.

"Still… not enough," he panted, tightening his grip on his sword.

"Fine. Let's see how long you can last too.", said Kael.

"But I can barely swing this heavy sword".

The demon lunged again, jaws snapping. Kael rolled forward this time, sliding beneath its belly and driving his sword upward.

The blade sank a few inches into softer flesh. The demon roared in agony, staggering back and smashing a tree in frustration.

Kael exhaled.

His arms get exhausted.

"I can't beat it head-on. I need to outlast it. Move, strike, retreat."

Another distant sound cut through the chaos—rapid footsteps and faint shouts.

"Kael!"

"Kael"..

Kael heard the sound from far afar.

The forest behind them shuddered as something massive was running.

Branches snapped, and a low, rumbling growl rolled through the air like thunder.

Leaves scattered in every direction, carried by a sudden gust of foul, sulfuric wind.

Then—CRASH!—the first demon broke through the treeline. It was the size of a carriage, its skin blackened and cracked like burnt stone.

Behind it came another. And another. Within seconds, the forest seemed to vomit forth an endless tide of monsters—small, quick demons that skittered like insects, hulking brutes with jagged horns, and winged fiends.

Kael froze at that moment.

At least two hundred demons surged forward.

"…No way,"

Kael's instincts screamed at him.

This wasn't a fight they could win. Without another thought, he slung his sword across his back and spun around.

"RUN! RUNNN! RUN!!!" Kael shouted.

Jin blinked in disbelief with his ears ringing from the echo.

"Did I just… mishear something?" Jin said.

"You didn't," Edwin said "MOVE!"

CRRRAACK!

The fireball smashed into the bridge behind them with a deafening explosion.

The only escape route was gone in an instant.

Smoke billowed across the village as the heat washed over them.

The surviving villagers screamed in terror, clutching their children and stumbling backward.

"Kael is deliberately leading the demons this way," Elysia said.

"That damn Kael… what the hell is he doing?" Jin and Edwin said.

"We're supposed to go to them, not bring them here!"
