Transmigrated into the Most Hated Scum. My Wives are Plentiful!

Chapter 52: Victory…. At Last?

And just like he wished, Armin launched forward at him. His expression was of rage and his demeanor was no joke.

He had intended to drag out the fight as long as he could to toy with Koul and humiliate him. But after being made to wait for so long outside in the eyes of so many, anger overrode his senses.

Now, rather than prolong the duel to toy with Koul, he'd rather end it with one fierce strike.

To him, that would prove more humiliating. After all, to get defeated by one strike just at the start of the duel seemed more embarrassing.

Armin's wooden sword was raised and poised diagonally, ready to strike once he closed the distance.

He intended to deliver a direct but devastating blow at Koul. But he predicted that Koul would somehow intercept it.

He reached Koul.

And when he raised his sword to strike down, he ceased just at the critical moment Koul would intercept with his sword.

Then he dipped low, intending to sweep Koul off the ground with his sword.

Mere inches away from his sword connecting with Koul's leg, Koul suddenly squatted.

He planted his feet firmly into the ground, concentrated power into his legs and dipped just as Armin had dipped.

"Tada!" He said to Armin's face and instantly dug his mini sword into the ground—using it to block the incoming sword.

Without a moment's waste, Koul shot his hand forward and grabbed Armin by the collar from behind.

Shell-shock bloomed vividly across Armin's face. His eyes were wide and his muscles were locked in place.

The next thing he knew was seeing the world upside down.

Koul had pulled him with so much force, raised him and slammed him to the ground.

Gasps of shock echoed through the crowd. Some shot to their feet, while some had their mouths falling open.

"D-d-did you see that?!"

"With just sheer strength, he—"

"How's that possible?!"

Even the vice captain and some knights shot up to their feet. Their faces glowed with pride for their king.

Though most of them still weren't fully open to a relationship with him, they couldn't contain their excitement.

It was the first time in history such was happening.

Most couldn't believe their eyes.

But, one of the training Koul did a lot was lifting weight and building his arm strength.

And the reason behind that was so he could get strong, of course, but underneath that was another reason.

His wives.

He knew he needed such strength because his wives were… heavy, if one dared say. Though to Koul, he would prefer not calling them heavy and instead, call himself weak and incapable.

But he couldn't deny they were big. And he needed to be able to lift these big things.

Armin couldn't quite get over his shock. Along with it was embarrassment. He couldn't believe Koul, who was well known as a useless, weak king could throw him to the ground in one swoop.

The shame was loud.

"Are you going to keep lying down there or will you get up to put on a show for me?" Koul asked in the same mocking tone as Armin's.

"Better get up now or my next blow will strike you into a coma."

He raised his mini sword and brought it down fiercely. But before it could land on Armin, he rolled aside.

Then he snapped up to his feet immediately with his sword.

His face was flushed with embarrassment but his rage was palpable.

"You—!" He grinded his teeth, fuming.

"I don't have all day! My wives are waiting for me in my chambers."

With that, Koul launched forward.

He thought he'd now be able to at least stand his ground after his two weeks' progress but reality wasn't always what we thought it to be.

Koul might've improved but that didn't make Armin suddenly become a weakling.

It was a fierce battle. Even when Koul was able to withstand some blows, it wasn't all that he could stand.

A deafening crack echoed through the coliseum as Koul was sent crashing into the wooden fence protecting the onlookers.

His appearance was battered. His features were broken. And not only that, his shoulder that had healed not too long ago was broken again by Armin.

Compared to Koul, Armin was considerably clean. Only minor bruises were on him.

At this point, everyone had already concluded on who the winner was. They saw no future where Koul could win.

They only remained sitting just for the sake of being there till the end.

But amidst this, Koul's knights were worried and concerned for him. A reasonable amount of them were, at least.

"Where did that arrogant wish of yours go now?!! How are you going to bring me down if you're crushed between those?!!"

Armin screamed loudly at Koul, still enraged.

Even if he was having the upper hand and had dealt so much damage to Koul, his anger refused to quell.

"Just shut it."

Koul struggled up to his feet. As he attempted to straighten up, he winced aloud.

Did I also crack a rib?

His hand gently rubbed his side, feeling the excruciating pain.

These people are no joke, he said inwardly, referring to the people of this world. Armin and the knight he fought to be precise.

As he raised his gaze to look forward, a wave of dizziness slapped him. He stumbled backward lightly, his vision clearing and blurring.

I'm about to lose consciousness. I can't afford that.

The deal is to take whatever you want from the loser. But who knows, I might be able to free my wife through him.

At this point, I don't really care about the penalty from not completing the task, because things aren't looking so good for me.

Plus, I have points to pay with anyway.

With sheer will, Koul rose with his sword. He couldn't ignore the pains shooting through his body, but he could endure it.

"I must admit, you're strong."

Armin stopped in his tracks. He regarded Koul with confusion.

With the raise of a brow, he questioned what Koul meant.

"No, I just can't help but admit how good you really are with the sword," Koul started.

Don't enrage him, praise him instead. When he lets his guard down, I will strike.

At best, I can only manage one strike now. And I won't let it slide for anything.

"What are you up to now?" Armin questioned sternly.

"It's just that I'm realizing how arrogant I've been. Despite being a king, a mere prince like you is far better than me."

The crowd couldn't hear their conversation since they spoke in a low tone.

"Ha! Finally realizing there's nothing you can do to win against me?"

Armin mocked with laughter.

"Yes. But you see, Armin. Even if I know there's nothing I can do against you, and worse, even in this condition, I still won't give up."

He raised his sword and pointed it at Armin.

"So come at me."

"Tch!"

Armin stepped forward, fed up with Koul.

With his condition, he concluded Koul couldn't do anything more. He couldn't even raise his other hand so what harm could he do?

Armin reached Koul and stood confidently in front of him.

"If you won't give up, then I'll just end it myself."

He raised his sword with casual ease, attempting to bring it down. He was calm and unbothered like he was about to flog a toddler.

But before his sword could come down, a smirk ghosted Koul's lips. And the next thing was Koul's sword lethally striking Armin's throat.

Even if it's through a trick, a win's a win.

Armin's sword dropped from his grip as he staggered back. He doubled over, coughing as he clasped his neck.

He couldn't breathe so he started wheezing.

The impact was so brutal that Armin fell to his knees. Tears seeped from the corners of his eyes as he wheezed and held his throat.

But Koul didn't relent. He dropped his sword and stepped forward.

As he came, Armin attempted to talk..

"Y-yu—"

But he couldn't voice out any words.

With lethal precision, Koul landed a bone crushing punch to his face.

It sent Armin crashing back. And even pulled a tooth from him.

Koul still didn't relent. He hopped on him and with his functioning hand that wasn't injured, he pummeled Armin over and over again.

There were gasps and murmurs but no one could do anything. Not even the herald.

Armin's knights shot Koul's knights a glare, telling them to stop their king. But Koul's knights only looked back with an unbothered look.

Their faces were bright with pride and they seemed to be silently cheering for their king to continue.

But even when they'd like their king to continue, Armin was still a royal. So they stepped forward and intervened.

When they glanced over, Armin's face was a mess and he had lost consciousness.

"My king, you did so good," Kanstiv praised.

A small smile curved Koul's lips but before the moment could stretch, he fell unconscious.

[Ding!]
