Chapter 19: Warrior's Pride

"I want to become just like you two one day. A brave warrior of the seas," Usopp declared, his eyes shimmering with determination after hearing Brogy's story. Witnessing Dorry and Brogy's duel had inspired him deeply, their pride as warriors of Elbaf resonating within him. Even though Usopp and Nami intended to stay on the Merry, they ended up meeting another giant.

Back with Lucas and the others, things took a sudden and terrifying turn. The rum Dorry drank exploded, injuring him heavily. "Mr. Giant!" Luffy called out, his voice filled with concern as Dorry collapsed.

"Oh no! What could've caused this?" Vivi exclaimed, her face paling with shock as they tried to make sense of what had just happened.

"I don't get it. Clearly, we brought this rum with us here but..." Igaram said, his confusion palpable.

"Is it possible that the other giants could've done this?" Vivi theorized, her mind racing for answers.

"No way! Two warriors who've been fighting for so long wouldn't stoop this low," Luffy argued, his voice firm with conviction.

"Urrrh, *cough* Then *cough* that leaves you humans as the only suspects," Dorry groaned, struggling to stand. His eyes were filled with rage as he looked at them, full of trust in Brogy. "There's no way Brogy did this. We, as proud warriors of Elbaf, would never resort to such schemes. That only leaves you—the only other people here," he declared.

"Oh no! Luffy, Lucas, quick, we gotta run. Looking at his eyes, I doubt he will listen to us," Vivi said, her voice trembling with worry.

"Seems like running away would also be useless," Luffy replied, handing his hat to Vivi.

"Here, hold this for me," Luffy said, handing his hat to Vivi. "Lucas, you watch over them," he added, determination gleaming in his eyes as he readied himself to fight.

"We should actually look into this more..." Lucas began, but the two had already launched into their fight.

"Mr. Lucas, quick, we have to stop them!" Vivi cried, her voice trembling with urgency.

"Princess, it's not safe here anymore," Igaram cautioned, "Yeah, I guess the only way to get battle junkies to listen is to beat the words into their heads," Lucas said, fuming. "But first, we need to get you away from…"

Before he could finish, the volcano erupted, signaling Brogy and Dorry's duel. The ground rumbled, and the air filled with tension.

Luffy sprang into action, trying to stop Dorry from leaving, but Dorry trapped him under his bone house. "Ahhh! I can't move! Move this stupid house offa me!" Luffy yelled, his frustration boiling over.

Dorry paused, looking at Luffy with a mixture of regret and resolve. "Your sincerity is truly genuine, and I apologize for doubting you, but no one can stop this duel," he said solemnly as he walked away, each step echoing with finality.

"Arhhh! Come on already! Enough of that crap. A duel that's been manipulated isn't a proper duel anymore!" Luffy shouted after him, his words filled with desperation and anger.

Dorry walked away in silence, ignoring Luffy's pleas. Luffy squirmed and struggled under the bone house, his heart burning with frustration. He couldn't understand how someone could ruin such an honorable duel. It wasn't fair, and he wanted to give Dorry the justice he deserved. His resolve only grew stronger, determined to find the culprit and make things right.

"Luffyyyyyyy!" Usopp came stumbling, crashing into a boulder. "Nami! Nami's been eaten by a dinosaur!" he cried out, his voice filled with panic.

"Are you okay?" Lucas asked in the background, concern etched on his face.

"For real!" Luffy remarked, shock clear in his wide eyes.

"We were just running away from the dinosaur, but then... then she disappeared," Usopp said, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Seriously though, is your face okay?" Lucas interjected, noticing Usopp's battered appearance.

"Uhhh! What do I do now!? I just let my crewmate get eaten by a dinosaur," Luffy said, his voice trembling with guilt and frustration.

"Calm down, you two. I think we should assess this more rationally. You said she suddenly disappeared, right? Did you go back to see if she was eaten?" Vivi asked, trying to bring some logic into the chaos.

"As if! I was scared outta my mind. If the dinosaur didn't get her, then what else could've happened?" Usopp replied, his fear palpable.

"Well, I can't say for certain but... it's possible Baroque Works is behind this," Vivi suggested, her tone serious.

"Ye... Ahem. Ma ma maa. Yes, I agree with Princess Vivi. It would make sense for them to go after her since she is on their list now. It would also explain what happened to that giant," Igaram said thoughtfully.

"Well, since we now know what's going on, I guess it's fine if I stop them from fighting. I'll leave a clone to get you out of that, Luffy," Lucas said, splitting into two. He left his clone to free Luffy and went to halt the duel.

"Wait, what actually happened here? What happened to the giant?" Usopp asked, confusion lacing his voice.

"Well..." Vivi began to explain, filling in the details.

Meanwhile, Dorry, despite struggling, was still holding his own against Brogy. The battle raged on, each clash of their weapons echoing through the island.

"Hehe, why don't I lend you a helping hand?" a mysterious voice said, hidden in the trees. As Brogy and Dorry fought, Dorry suddenly lost his footing, causing him to slip.

"Ah!!!" Dorry gasped, leaving a big opening.

"The battle is mine now, Dorry!" Brogy declared, swinging his axe with all his might.

The tension mounted as the fight reached its climax, the fate of the warriors hanging in the balance.

"Wait, for real?" Usopp exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief as he processed the story of Dorry and the exploding rum. His heart raced, pounding in his chest. The gravity of the situation sank in.

"Then… Then it's not fair! Their fight simply can't end like this. What about their pride?" he said, his voice trembling with a mix of frustration and determination. The weight of their honor as warriors hung heavy in the air, and Usopp felt a burning need to see justice served. His heart ached for the giants' unyielding spirit.
