Chapter 327: Sparring with others 5
"Aunt, how can you say that I haven't improved at all? I think my improvement is quite obvious. Well, maybe Aunt just always thought I was this strong from the start," Treyton said with a smile.
Aunt Cana didn't reply to Treyton. She just looked at him, then turned to Luciel and said, "You've always looked so relaxed, so even though I heard you were strong, I didn't really feel it, until I saw you fighting those birds yesterday and sparring with Treyton.
I can tell now that you're really good with glaives. It even makes me want to learn how to use one too. But right now, I'm still focusing on mastering how to shoot.
I also saw you using a sword yesterday, and I heard you're good with daggers too. Are you also good with other weapons, like guns and things like that?"
"I've learned how to handle those kinds of things, so as long as it's a weapon, I know how to use it a bit. So yeah, I can use guns and other weapons too," Luciel replied.
He had used many different weapons in the past, so of course he had tried out all the weapons that were available back in his old base during his past life.
But of course, his level of mastery over them varied. For example, he was better with more common weapons like glaives, spears, swords, axes, guns, and the like because he had used those more often than whips or other uncommon weapons.
As for weapons he hadn't tried before, as long as they shared some basic similarities with weapons he had already used, he could usually get the hang of them after a few tries.
"It seems like you have a lot of interest in weapons since you've learned how to use so many," Aunt Cana said.
"Not really. I just picked them up and used them a bit whenever I happened to come across one, so I ended up trying out a lot of weapons."
It seemed Aunt Cana thought he had a hobby of collecting or trying out weapons, that's why he managed to learn how to use so many.
But that wasn't the case at all. He only learned to use all those weapons because it was necessary.
If he hadn't learned how to use those weapons, he would've died much earlier in his past life.
If he had a choice, he wouldn't have bothered learning how to handle any of them at all.
However, he simply denied it and gave Aunt Cana a brief explanation.
Of course, it was a vague explanation with little real content, and likely very suspicious, especially since the original Luciel was just an ordinary model. Still, he didn't say anything more.
After all, he couldn't exactly tell them he had learned everything while fighting monsters in another world.
Well, now that it had been revealed he could fight, many were probably curious about what he had done before. They likely didn't fully believe the information they had gathered on him—just a model? That explanation wouldn't convince anyone now.
But no one had asked him too deeply about it. And even if they did, he wouldn't explain it. It was better to just leave them guessing about his true background.
Luciel and Treyton chatted a bit more with Aunt Cana until the 10-minute rest was over, then they resumed their next round of sparring.
The other team members didn't leave. They stayed and continued watching.
In the next spar, Luciel and Treyton maintained their focus and concentration, still aiming to subdue each other.
They exchanged strong, decisive attacks; blocking each other, dodging, avoiding critical hits, and continued that way for another full hour.
After that, they took another 10-minute break.
When Luciel said he wanted to continue sparring, Treyton agreed to go another round, even though Luciel could tell that Treyton had already learned most of the way he used the glaive.
Even though Treyton still couldn't perfectly execute most of those movements, Luciel had already noticed the changes in Treyton's attack patterns. He could clearly see the beginnings of those same techniques being mirrored.
It was obvious Treyton was internalizing the techniques and slowly making them his own.
Well, it's also not good to just copy what he did, because in the end, they were different individuals. They had their own habits, and some of his moves might not be suitable for Treyton.
The glaive techniques he had were the result of his personal experiences, so there were probably parts that only suited him and not Treyton or anyone else. They needed to adapt them into something that worked for their own fighting styles.
Since Treyton had already agreed to another round of sparring, he would probably continue refining his glaive techniques through the fight.
After another 10 minutes, Luciel and Treyton began their third round of sparring.
They fought with just as much intensity and aggressiveness as before, even though they had already been sparring for more than two hours.
When the third spar ended, and they were resting again, Luciel still insisted that he wanted another round after ten minutes. He turned to Treyton and asked if he was still up for it.
"Sure, I can still accompany you in sparring, since I'm still improving my glaive handling," Treyton said after taking a drink of water. "But how long do you plan to keep sparring like this?"
"I'll spar with you and the others until I can't move anymore," Luciel said while changing the gloves he was wearing.
"Are you sure you need to go that far?" Treyton asked with some concern.
"Yeah, I need to reach my target as soon as possible, so I have to at least do this much," Luciel replied casually.
He wanted to increase his physical strength as soon as possible, so naturally, he had to push himself every day until he met his goal.
His goal would take a long time to achieve if he had to take it slow so it was better to exert his all so that he could continue living a leisurely life as usual.
