Chapter 315: Treyton in action 3
With the large numbers of birds from the second flock and the remaining birds from the first flock, Treyton also became worried about the situation at their villa and the other places where his relatives and team members were.
He actually wanted to go back to their villa immediately to at least set up a stronger metal cover to act as a shield for the people in the villa, but he also couldn't just leave the soldiers, knowing that a lot of them would die if he didn't set up a protective cover for them.
So, he could only try to move faster and set up the metal covers as quickly as he could so that he could go and check on the villa and other areas immediately.
Fortunately, Luciel really didn't want any of them to die and still cared about them, so he even used up a lot of the stored energy in the vines he had to build protective covers for their villa, the hospital, and even around the whole military area.
If it were him, he could probably only cover the first building of their villa because he didn't have enough metal to use for covering such large areas like the hospital and the military area.
His energy also wouldn't be enough to make metal covers for those large areas in such a short amount of time.
So Treyton was really grateful that Luciel was still thinking about them. He already knew that, most of the time, Luciel didn't care about the people around him at all.
Most of the time, they could only see that he still cared about people when he was dealing with the kids or when he saw something fun and wanted to observe it more.
But in times of crisis, Luciel could still show that he cared about them and wouldn't let them die.
It could even be said that because Luciel was strong, the little care he showed in times of danger had a great impact because they really wouldn't die, thanks to him.
As long as they weren't stupid, they would certainly have no problems surviving thanks to Luciel's help.
And he didn't think that any members of the team were fools who didn't understand their own circumstances.
Just like this time, with Luciel's help, they didn't have to rush to the places they wanted to protect, like their villa and the hospital where the others were.
Without Luciel's help in making a protective shield for those areas, he and the others would have surely gone to those places as soon as possible.
With the number of birds already in the base, they probably couldn't avoid being injured if they really rushed to go to those areas.
And if they weren't careful enough in controlling the output of their abilities because of how rushed they were, they might end up lacking enough energy to fight later on, putting them in even more dangerous situations.
So, Luciel's help in providing additional protection to those areas was really very helpful, as it kept them from being too rash in their actions.
They could also fight properly since they didn't need to be constantly worried about the safety of others.
Without that constant worry, Treyton and the others were able to continue fighting for a long time.
A while ago, after seeing the second flock of birds coming, he was already worried that more flocks might follow.
And sure enough, while they were still dealing with many birds, a third flock of birds came.
With the addition of the third flock, the situation in the base became even more dire.
They saw the birds becoming more diligent in their hunting and even attacking those who were hiding inside concrete buildings.
Seeing that more and more people were dying, Treyton and the others didn't dare stop killing birds, doing their best to at least reduce the number of birds attacking others.
They were already exhausted, but they still forced themselves to continue fighting.
However, there eventually came a point where most of them really couldn't stand the continuous fighting any longer, so they had to take a break before continuing again.
Thankfully, when the fifth flock of birds came, all the other birds in the base seemed to receive a signal, and all of them stopped hunting and attacking the people in the base, then left together with the fifth flock.
As soon as they saw the birds leaving, most of them stopped moving and just sat down where they were.
"Those f*cking birds finally left!" Nathan said in relief, his happiness obvious.
All of them were clearly relieved and happy that the birds had finally left the base.
"Let's rest a bit and check on the others after a while," Treyton said, sitting down on a ruined block of concrete beside him.
He was also very tired from fighting continuously, so he didn't care about the place and just sat down wherever was closest.
"The others should still be safe. The vines that Luciel made around those places were really sturdy," Nathan said.
After setting up the covers on the wall and fighting alongside the soldiers for a while, Treyton and the others had also gone around the base, trying to kill as many birds as possible to save those who could still be saved. So they had clearly seen the vines Luciel had created around the military area and the hospital.
Even though a lot of birds were attacking those areas, the vines weren't heavily damaged.
They had suffered some damage, but they weren't penetrated, thanks to the multiple layers Luciel had created. So those protected inside the vines were probably safe as long as they hadn't been attacked while outside the vine-covered areas.
"I really have to thank Luciel again later," Nathan added, then asked, "What do you think I should give him?"
"His preference is already very obvious. He'd surely appreciate it more if you gave him food, or downloaded movies and games," Treyton replied.
