Transmigrated Into an OnlyWomenRealm: the Amazons

Chapter 38: Calliope

Keza blinked her eyes, unsure of what to say to him.

True. She could fly him to New Themiscyra and bring him back. It would take just a few hours. All she needed to say was, "Sure! I'll take you tomorrow."

However, what if he refused to come back with her? He could enter the castle and refuse to come outside.

What will she tell Hippolyta then? Not just Hippolyta. The others also had desires they needed fulfilled. She knew how they were dying of anticipation right now.

They would never forgive her if she threw their luck in the wind just like that.

The obvious answer was no.

It wasn't the best though. Because Byron wasn't a tool. He was a human and she knew once they refused him the right to freedom, he would get angry.

Nobody likes to be treated like a slave, after all.

Sure. You could argue that it was kinda of a win-win situation, but they needed him more than he needed them.

No. He actually didn't need them at all. Penthesilea and her city already had everything he could wish for.

'I have to say yes to him. That way, he won't see us as his captors or his enemies. We have to get on his good side if we want him not to continue placing Penthesilea and her pack as his favorites.'

'How am I going to do that then?'

"Hey! Did you hear me?" asked Byron when Keza took too long to respond.

"I said..."

"I know what you said," she cut him off.

"Then why not answer?"

She chuckled, softly, still looking him in the eyes, then said, "You're so handsome!"

Byron frowned.

"I know what you're trying to do. Don't!" he said, pointing his finger at her.

"And what's that exactly?"

"Trying to sweet-talk me past the topic. I said I want you to..."

"And I said I know what you said," she cut him off again, but this time she didn't wait for him to say anything..She resumed right away.

"You want me to take you back to New Themiscyra. Why should I do that?"

She was using this useless talk to rack her brains for a strategy out of this predicament, and Byron was falling into her trap.

Or, was he?

Byron had noticed how effective the purple mist was. After all, the system did not call it Sensation Smoke for nothing.

No girl had ever screamed like Keza did, let alone the fact that she was a succubus. He didn't know much about succubi women, but if the stories were right, they usually took control.

If she had allowed him to be the dominant one, that meant she had seen something special in him.

That's why he activated the skill and watched the area around his fingers become purple.

He proceeded to touch her, first on the cheeks, then down to her lips as he leaned closer to whisper into her ears.

"This is why you should take me. If you don't, you will never feel my hands on your body again."

'Fuck!' she internally exclaimed. 'His touch feels so addictive. It's like... Does he also have some charms and tricks?'

Keza didn't know exactly how people felt when she used her charms on them, but she knew how they reacted.

Then why was her body reacting like them? She could feel the increased sensitivity around the area on which Byron's hand lay.

'Perhaps it's because I haven't been touched in years. Perhaps I've forgotten how... No. There's something about his touch. It feels so good. So addictive. I don't think I can live normally after this. I'll need him at least once a week.'

'And he's right. I can't force him to touch me. I can't!'

Actually, she could. She could utilize her illusions and charms and tricks and force him to touch her. What would be the fun in that though?

It would be like rape.

"I'll take you..." she said, then knowingly took a pause to hear what would be his response.

"Good choice! I knew you would choose wisely." There was so much arrogance in his voice.

'I knew he was gonna act like this,' she thought. 'I can't allow him to have the last laugh.'

That's when she resumed her sentence. "I'll take you not because you threatened to never touch me again. After all, I have many ways to control your mind and make you touch me wherever I want. I'll take you because I can. Because I want to. Plus, Penthesilea is my aunt and she doesn't deserve to die out of worry."

This wasn't much, but she had made it clear to him that his threats held no power over her.

Unfortunately, his threats did hold power over her, but it would be a huge mistake to let him know it. To show her weakness.

Like she predicated, Byron dropped his arrogant tone.

From his experience, h

Keza's illusions were great. He didn't know that he was able to resist them. So, when she said she had tricks that could force him, he believed her.

Perhaps if they had sex again, he could be able to absorb a few other abilities from her, abilities that he could use to counter attack her in the future.

However, now, for he didn't want to live his life in illusions, for he wanted to go back to Alcippe and the others and for he wanted to know more about this world and what would Hera do after she found out about him, he decided to focus on what was important.

Which was…

Keza had agreed to take him to New Themiscyra. He had to accept the offer before she changed her mind.

"When?" he asked.

That was his way of saying, thank you. Now let's go!

"After three days! That's when I'll take you!" she replied, internally overjoyed.

Byron raised his eyebrows, retracting his hands from her body. "Why not now or in the morning?' he asked.

"Now? Are you kidding me? Who flies during the night?"

"You, obviously! Aren't succubi creatures of the night?"

"Well, we just had sex. I'm tired. Plus, it's cold and dangerous. Too many monsters at night."

The mention of monsters intrigued Byron. What kind of monsters would a succubus be afraid of while flying? It didn't make any sense.

That's why he immediately exclaimed. "Monsters? Which monsters?"

"Penthesilea probably told you that it's because Hera that we live like this, right?"

Byron nodded his head.

"Well, she should have also told you that Hera creates all sorts of abominations to haunt us every now and then. Things are pretty scary during the night when outside the cities."

To Byron, that sounded like something Hera could do. But why didn't Alcippe tell him about the monsters? He wondered.

'Oh! She took me to see those grotesque wolves. It's my fault that I assumed it was just a normal thing and didn't ask her how come those wolves are like that.'

'Well, I guess I would be slaying monsters soon then. That way I'll be like the main characters in the novels I used to read.'

He chuckled to himself.

'Who needs to slay monsters though? Being surrounded by beauties like this isn't so bad. Not at all!'

He chuckled to himself once again, then said, "I get it. We can't go during the night. Then what about tomorrow morning? I can't have them worry about my whereabouts for 3 days."

"I'm sorry, but you will have to wait 3 days. That's when Three Suns and Moons with Mother Calliope will end."

"What fuck is that?"

"Hippolyta had a lover," explained Keza. "Orpheus."

"I know."

"That makes it easy for me then. Orpheus is Calliope's son. We suspect that he convinced his mom to help us. Now, every month, we talk to her to know what Hera is planning."

'What?' thought Byron. 'Now I'm even more confused.'

"What does that have to do with taking me to New Themiscyra?" he asked.

The heat from having sex had diminished. Keza was starting to get cold. Though Byron had pulled the sheets over their bodies, he had not tucked them.

Keza pulled them properly, while also getting closer to him.

She then answered his questions. "We're warriors. Ares was our god. We had never worshiped Calliope. We didn't even have singers among us. It must be why she did it."

"You see, when Orpheus asked her to help us, she said she would if we promised to start worshipping her. Every last three days of every month, we are required to spend Three Suns and Moons praising her.

"In return, she warns us about the monsters Hera is about to send or tell us anything useful. We believe she is our only hope of ever getting out of here."

"So, that means you can communicate with the outside world?"

"Not exactly. We never hear her voice. He inspires our priestesses and communicates through the songs, poems and stories."

Byron knew that Calliope was the goddess of epic poetry, believed to have inspired great poets like Homer.

That's why he didn't ask any more questions.

"If you'all gonna be busy these following three days," he said, not sure what Keza's response was going to be, "then why not let me ride to New Themiscyra alone? I'll come back by then."
