Transmigrated as the mysterious older brother

Chapter 8: Day 1st of PME

Tyrespiel's POV

Weeks passed after the day I grew some balls to challenge my brother and his peers to a bet and I'm admitting it─ I ate what I said.

Days before the exam he locked himself in his room, busy studying from grade 1 textbooks to his age and because he is the Main Male Lead─ after getting the results, he came home wagging his Preliminary Exam papers with a giddy smile.

Curse golden thighs, he's blessed by the heavens, I swear..

In such a short amount of time of studying he scored a 100─ bitch who da fuck?

Male lead halo? Author.. Let's talk, I promised we'll just talk..

Silently cursing the author, I watched Kaspian wave his papers to Mom and Dad happily. Even Roman was dumbstruck by the results whilst glancing back and forth from his brother to his test results, unable to make sense of how he did it.

"HA! NOW YOU GOTTA SHOW YOUR FACE!!!"

He proclaimed loudly that he caught everyone's attention back to Earth. Mom and Dad eventually came to my side while Mom shook me anxiously. And Roman whose soul departed from his body if not for Kaspian pulling it back.

"E-excuse me!?"Father questioned.

I stared at them for a while before nodding my head to answer that one common question in their heads. Mother started crying whilst dabbing a handkerchief on the edge of her right eye and Father stood there shock while hugging Mother.

My siblings stared at them weirdly, aside from their dramatic behavior but also weird because of how exaggerated their reactions were. Mom and Dad look at each other before gesturing the two to stop dawdling and listen to the story behind my blindfold.

"When your brother was born, he was brimming with a huge amount of mana. Your brother was born with the most beautiful crystalized blue eyes...", Mother reminisce in her memories.

"A magnificent sight to behold!", Father exclaimed proudly.

"Common knowledge is when you turn six will you be able to summon your companion but your brother broke that custom because Owl has already manifested his body upon his birth....", Mother said calling for Owl on my shoulder to hers.

Both my brothers held an awestruck gaze.

"Lores's mana was purer than water, his mana grows as he age. At the age of six he can already use Owl's abilities and he took a fancy on a dual-bladed scimitar rather than your father's sword." , Mother teased father which we chuckled at.

"And as Lores grew older, he became even more beautiful. The second prince even caught sight of his beauty that he requested to be his playdate."

Both my brothers glancing back at me with a scared face as if the mention of the second prince would curse them.

"Then his beautiful face is the reason why he's blindfolded??", Roman asked with a confuse face.

"No, it wasn't." , so much for a touching moment.

"Wha─"

"I'll take it off after the PME or in academic vocabulary, Rivalry game."

Seeing that they don't wish to share the hideous past of their son, I changed the subject smoothly diverting their attentions but with Roman's sharpness I think he would not fall for it.

After eating dinner, Kaspian accompanied me back to my room and Roman must be confronting Mom and Dad about the past. That past, I wish the original Tyrespiel can rest easy now that he won't be confronting it.

We sat on the fluffy bed and I explained the upcoming event while putting Owl on the bed softly and covering him with the duvet.

"PME is basically where you will be introduced by fighting the first and second years. You will have three matches; one in one day and two in one day whereas the third match is a hunting quest."

"And after that?"

"It ends there. This may sound easy to you but this year Angelus will let all Elites participate in the third round...."

"....And you will have to fight them, everytime you won a match with an Elite you will gain additional 200 points but here's also a catch: there are three special Elites in the hunting quest worth of 5000 points and they are carrying a red flag─ You will be thrown into an Island where you'll begin hunting. Take the flag from these special elites and you will earn the points!", The emcee explained the requirements and what PME is as the crowd began to whisper with each other.

Others expressing their opinions and excitement.

"Oh before I forget! The passing points is 5000 including the points you'll gain today."

Yes, you heard it right, today is the PME or Rivalry. This is also considered an Entrance Exam for the new students. If they ever succeed here, they won't need to pay for extra classes to expand their knowledge.

The day where talented individuals gather in one place to fight for a place inside the Angelus Academy begins!

Few matches passed and now is the 45th match and also Kaspian's first ever official PME match. Not any ordinary mock battle or duo match he always have.

"Wow! Liam Avilline WON! a rare gem, indeed."

The emcee announced Liam's victory- the only adopted son of the widowed countess.

Liam had a mid-length cobalt blue hair tied in a half-bun and lively midnight green eyes. I really hadn't seen his companion and although I read about this story countless time, I don't remember much now that the previous memory of this body is pushing all my past memories out of my brain.

And I'm still not certain if there really is a second book, that one BL genre right? Or was it a modern one? Maybe it was Ancient China version? Maybe the fan fiction one??

Soon the Emcee announced the arrival of my brother.

Once Kaspian reached the end of the stairs, he immediately looked around the crowd to look for his brother.

Frustrated, because he can't find the dark green haired male and Tyrespiel noticing his frustration sent his brother's companion a message.

Kaspian received the message and immediately looked to where his brother is. His brother was standing beside his second brother whose standing beside the first prince.

Two is the maximum relatives who can attend the Pme Trial of each competitors, then most seats are occupied by the students from other school or civilians.

That is why Harake and Tyrespiel are the only Crosseart who can attend but fear not because the Crosseart parents sent the three away with smiles and a goodluck charm for Kaspian.

I didn't let Roman attend either knowing that the nine years old boy might bluntly point out a mistake of his brother which will forever be etched in his mind and tease Kaspian about it forever, even though they hardly get along that doesn't mean they hate each other, I promise you that.

Beside Roman is experiencing his very first, First Rate Mock Battle, and Kaspian knew how important that experience is so he can only return home with a good news and maybe if he won he can finally demand Roman to call him brother.

End of POV

Upon spotting the two individuals, Kaspian's face contorted into a grin. He is ready to show them the results of his training especially when the first battle is about swordmaship and his brother, Harake, specializes in that area. He is not ready to dissapoint any of them.

His opponent is his rival, Jaise Yvellen, son of the famous Writer in the Kingdom of Rafayel, his father wrote the Book, 'The Wonders' and 'The fundamentals of Mathematical magic'.

And yes, he is also one of the capture targets although Tyrespiel forgot that, This author is willing to tell you this cheat, /*wink, wink!

Jaise inwardly smirk seeing the familiar blue-eyed male, his rival. Call them childhood 'friends' all you want but since they were young, he had always wanted to beat the third Crosseart male infront of his brothers.

Now, now, he is someone who believes in logic and the word that 'No one was born ugly' even though he hadn't properly met the oldest Crosseart since he always isolate himself. He somewhat knew that the male is hiding something behind those covers and he intends to uncover that.

He grabbed something behind his shadow, yes, he had just advanced to Alchemy I rank and his magic element is Shadow.

He grabbed his sword inside his shadow and swings

it from left to right with deliberate precision, to show off his polished skill.

Kaspian only stared at him, ticking him off, he hates it when he can't read someone's emotions. He charged at Kaspian who readied himself to embrace the attack.

This is a swordmanship test meaning that both can't use their Elements. Kaspian swings his sword attempting to slash the other's opening when Jaise gracefully blocked it.

Standing in full view the crowd roared again cheering for their certain winner, they shouted encouragements while the others shouted insults and some insults about the oldest Crosseart mixed in.

And Tyrespiel swore he saw his brother, Harake glares at those people.

Tyrespiel watch his Kaspian fight a boy with fiery red hair styled in a undercut one as his hair was tied behind his head, a few streaks of light pink mixing and decorated on his forehead. What he finds mesmerizing was Jaise's eyes— they were a pair of enticing lovely shade of silver.

Kaspian and his opponent was on par, they hadn't managed to injure each other nor make contact with the edge of the sword and this amazed both Crossearts.

"I can't believe they're sharing the same strength and agility." , Harake commented beside him as he only nodded his head aggreing.

'I say they share the same compatibility..' , this shameless thought run passed Tyrespiel's mind.

Everyone watched intently, betting in their minds of who would be the first to exhaust themselves or whoever injure the other first.

The clash last for about half an hour without any of the two participants injuring each other until the main capture target halo appeared and Kaspian managed to injure Jaise. Everyone in the crowds erupted in cheers.

'The halo and plot armour really do its job, it won't even let a male lead hit the main male lead'

Tyrepiel thought after seeing the red haired male grit his teeth seemingly frustrated that he was the first one to receive a wound. Kaspian panted heavily, clashing with his rival was tiring without them backing up and now he finally landed a blow on him, he knew he'd to take this much seriously.

Kaspian swung his sword again, clashing with Jaise who countered the attack. The sound of swords and the little sparks it emitted made everyone astonished.

Both of them were like water and fire, both clashing at the best of their abilities, both fighting as if in a life and death situation.

The fire doesn't want to die in the hands of the water and the Water doesn't want to run dry in the hands of the Fire, both of them fighting profusely for a spot and whoever loses, dies.

Jaise could not believe that he is on par with this rival of his, he gritted his teeth, blocking and trying offense every now and then to make an opening. He doesn't like it when someone is on the same level as him.

He had won his first match and he wasn't planning on backing out now that he had the perfect and only opportunity to join the Elites.

Kaspian isn't no loser either, he had eyes watching him especially those pairs of eyes belonging to his brothers.

If Jaise isn't planning to back out then he won't either. He will charge forcefully even if it means injuring himself in the process.

The two continued to fight and by now each one had driven each other on edge, charging blows, changing from offense to defense. If jaise swing his sword downward then Kaspian will easily dodge it. If Kaspian thrust his sword midway Jaise will just back away faster than lightning.

No words exchanged. No mockery thrown to each other. No insults either. Just their frustration and emotions pouring like mana into their swords swinging in any ways to find an opening.

Kaspian looked back to where his brothers are and saw them watching him intently. Sweats rolling down his face and his mouth agape a little to catch huge breaths.

Without him realizing, Jaise had charge at him again, his sword up in the air as he silently cry in his mind. Kaspian's senses tingled and dodged the blow but a little slow so a wound had formed on his left hand, maybe a little too deep than he thought.

Drops of blood flowing down his arm and Jaise smirked following the droplets of bloods. ahh, his sadistic side is showing~

Kaspian's eyes twitch he doesn't like what this beast is thinking about him so when he saw the latter distructed by his blood he run to him ready to swing his sword only for it to be blocked again.

And once again they had started clashing again, hours passed both exhausted but none of them decided to back out.

Their strength are the same, although Jaise is much faster, Kaspian's senses allowed him to dodge most of the incoming attacks.

Seeing that none of them is backing out while both are panting heavily evident that both are tired no one has stopped and rested a bit. The audience held their breathes as if a puff of air would disturb the fight.

So with the First and third Princes command they announced a tie. Despite the protest in the crowds one look from the famous Second Child Of Crosseart had them accepting that it was a tie.

The 46th matched started soon and seeing that the current match is not interesting anymore Tyrespiel turned around ready to leave.

"Tyres!"

Konrad's voice called him and looking behind his shoulder he saw the third prince runnning giddily to him. Konrad is one of his closest friends aside from Shan,

"Are you going to check on Kaspian?"

Konrad had a clean cut, his hair was that of resembling an emerald gem glistening under the sun, shining under the rain and glowing under the light.

His light red eyes that he inherited from his bloodline, ofcourse.

Tyrespiel nodded his head hesitantly as Konrad happily wrapped his hands around the latter's arm dragging him away.

'Tch, bottom bish,' Lores thought in grimace.

Harake only watched the scene with unknown emotions and Stephane noticing it decided to ask him about it but was only answered with a 'nothing'.

Tyrespiel was confused. So hella confused.

Although Tyrespiel and Konrad grew up together, he knew that Konrad doesn't act like this. He was cold and his eyes is full of mischiefs that you'll probably come into a conclusion that he was the Villain of this story but no.

You're wrong. Completely.

Konrad's supposed facade had been replaced by a childlike personality. Giddy and Excited. Excited to see little and new things around. Giddy maybe because of Tyres.

He didn't change the original plotline and did not interfere with his brother's secret affairs such as sneaking late at night three days ago only to meet the heroine whose beating the shit out of someone.

So he doesn't get how this male act differently from his character in the book.
