Chapter 10: Prophecy
"Since I'm already occupying the Heroine's body getting all the male leads' attentions is as easy as cutting a pie."
She said with great gusto, her silky dandelion hair swayed along the wind and as she bask upon her glory ( by basking I meant under the sun ). Her excitement brought great expectation which will be impossible to reach for Tyrespiel unknowingly became the Main Character.
...In her first world, her role was the villainess who must make the characters suffer just like any villains would do, unexpectedly the characters were gay─ a woman who dislikes homosexuality the most became disgusted.
With a system by her side, she promised to herself that she will make everyone think straight again.
( she believes that an error occured when she was transferred in and her existence caused a butterfly effect and now everyone is gay )
She successfully destroyed the relationship between the Seme and the Uke,
What did she do? Ha! After spreading fake rumors about that homosexual male, she pushed him down the stairs that had a sign in all Bold clearly written that the floor is wet.
And after that she seduced the male lead and had a baby with him and her as his wife and both- no, it should be, she lived a happy life while her husband thought about his lover everyday.
"tch, that faggot died, ha! He deserved it anyway."
She smirked as she reminisce the memory of the loud crack of bones when the said male slipped. And now all she gotta do is play her cards right. Now that she is the main course of the story all she gotta do is eliminate possible threats and live a good life with her harem.
Oh how wrong she was in every way, a very cruel person fit to be the villainess indeed,
Tyrespiel sneezed for the uptenth time making Kaspian look at him worriedly. He stared in empty space with a frown; the atmosphere growing colder by the second as he threaten to kill whoever was cursing him.
'Whoever is talking behind my back surely wants a good beating huh?'
"Are you sick, Brother!? D-did you caught a disease when you're with Konrad!???"
The blamed one gasped, offended by the accusation.
Whilst Tyrespiel stayed silent listening to his brother yap about all the while patting his friend's back comfortingly; his friend was the villain in his brother's story, what can he do?... Wish him luck
"O-or perhaps the wind almost swept you away!?"
Shane snickered, looking him up and down.
"Yeah, judging by how thin you are, it almost probably did.. Pfft."
Tyrespiel caught on his bestfriend's nasty insult and had lifted his hand to smack the back of his head and when he heard a satisfying sound he nodded. Shane almost shed tears upon the hard impact of his friend's hand, damn that heavy hand could be mistaken as a metal.
"Yeah? I may be thin but I sure can lift this hand and leave a bump on yer head.."
He replied with scrutiny which Shane ducked behind Konrad who's watching all this unfold his very eyes. Tyrespiel turned to his brother and smiled with fondness in his eyes.
"No, I am fine maybe our parents missed me."
He bluntly stated with a still charmimg smile, if not for his underlying tone Kaspian would have thought it was an innocent remark but no, his brother just gotta have a comeback in every situation.
"T-thats s-so...d-downright...cruel.."
Kaspian managed to speak out with blood dripping down his mouth, comically, while clutching his heart with a pained and betrayed look on his face. How could his brother be so cruel? Did he hang out with Roman too much? That brother of his is such a bad influence!
If Roman was here he would probably closed his book with a loud 'klak', pushing his glassess up with his middle finger, the light reflecting on it and say:
"Well, truth hurts, good thing I'm not the least favorite."
Kaspian hugged the floor with comical tears flowing down his face, how unfortunate for him, he is not even closest to the word 'favorite'.
"I demand favoritism to be labelled as a Crime!"
He dramatically declared with his hand up in a fist as the spectators watches. Konrad witnessing it all had an amused face, he never thought siblings could be this chaotic.
'It was always fight, fight, fight in the palace,' He thought when he suddenly imagined his 'siblings'.
Shan had recovered from the smack on his head but we all could see, no, read that he had a large bump on his head that we all can't ignore─ that mountain-like bump.
"Prepare for tomorrow, the second stage is about Rank Magic, I assumed you advanced now, Kaspian."
Tyrespiel said with a small smile although he can't help but slid the doubt in his mind. Well there is still tomorrow to confirm his thoughts.
He wished them a good night sleep before going in his temporary quarter. The academy's gates were closed since the start of the competition as to avoid disruptions. And only those with special excuses are allowed to go out except for the audience who can freely come and go as they wished.
Every year they set a camp in the open field for the participants seperating them from the elites' quarters and the high commands'.
Tyrespiel's POV
Sitting on my bed whilst holding the colorless sphere in my hand. Owl sat on my lap with a question mark on top of his head as he observes the sphere too, sometimes poking it and backing away immediately.
Amidst the silence it suddenly took shape of a little fox.
A fox? Huh?
'Is it really a sphere or was it an egg??? Huh?'
'What does the fox say?'
Pfft-
I covered my mouth from further laughing my ass off, damn, Its so funny I couldn't hold it in anymore.
"PFFT PUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH"
The fox had this funny look that even fueled my laugh.
The fox : ?
F-fuck! HAHAHAHA I-i pfft!!!!
Damn, my brain be sending jokes.
After calming down myself I watched as Owl curiously tilt his head from side to side observing the fox and poking it with his beak.
The fox had white fur and its eyes were pitch black as its long white eyelashes be looking like some curtain hiding something behind it.
And there's weird lines underneath its eye looking like some expensive eye liner.
In short, she was beautiful, like me, heh.
Owl hoots in surprise when the she-fox boops her nose against his head. I clutch my heart wincing softly at the scene.
"So cuteeeee...."
I cooed interupting the two from getting to know each other, Owl hop continously until he reached my lap and laid there comfortably comically shining.
The she-fox tilts her head confused so I usher her to me and she did so.
"I don't know how it happened but aren't you supposed to be some kind of weapon??"
"I am."
....Huh? Where did that voice came from?
Looking around the quarter all I see is expensive looking furnitures and stuff. I dont see anyone here but the three of us.
'Could it be...'
I looked at Owl with a dramatic gasp and the author shook her head in dissapointment. sigh....
"Oh dear, not your companion...I'm Puccha, the fox spirit who helped the Gods forged legendary artifacts."
'A fox spirit in an egg?'
"The Goddess sealed me in this artifact and the only way for me to live is to absorb the natural magic of the artifact, in short, I am the artifact myself, dear."
"And you found me inside that burnt Church."
Puccha put her paws on my face and soon the locked memories came flowing through like a tsunami making my head hurt like shit.
"With this, surely and hopefully you will remember those past lifetimes he locked you in."
I couldn't make out the words she said as my consciousness fades away slowly and painfully.
| Flashback
Tyrespiel was lost. Yes, he is lost, as in lost-lost, you know, where you thought you're going on the right direction but suddenly got sidetracked and walked offtrack..
He found himself in a desolated place; churches and houses had traces of being burned, the green grass seems to not want to touch this place's soil as they only grew around the place but never near.
The white pillars of the church was painted in red, whether it was dry blood or paint he dare not let curiousity get in as he did not want to accidentally discover something he is not supposed to.
"Argh! Where am I?"
Hours ago he was on school grounds sauntering his companion, Owl. Yes he named him that because he can't think of anything and he also looks like an owl.
'I shouldn't admit I'm bad at naming..'
Wandering aimlessly without a certain place to go to however upon reaching another church he stopped as if something was calling for him. He can't help but praised the architect who designed it.
The church was larger than the ones he came across to and definitely appealing and even though it was burnt he can still feel the magic residing in there that hasn't faded yet. The walls were perfectly white apart from the fact that its also burned down, it still stood with regal.
He carefully walked in without making any sound afraid that whatever creature is in there will wake up from its slumber.
The white walls were mixed with plants crawling on them, the scent of flowers filled his nostrils and the sculpture standing infront of the main hall caught his attention.
"The Goddess of glory and purity."
The sculpture is carrying a candle lamp, its long hair reached all the way to the floor covering the naked body of the Goddess like a cloak.
And in the middle of the hall he saw five sculpted table pillars aligned like the stars reflected in the night sky as the open ceiling let the moon shine in ethereal glory.
"Wow..."
The roots of the trees inside scattered around with colorful flowers blooming in each corner of the hall with fireflies producing intermittent light adding to the majestic display.
Table pillars arranged in a cosmic display, all empty except one.
Tap, tap, tap....
The sound of his shoes tapping the ground softly echoed in the quiet room as he made his way towards the floating sphere and finally making a stop. He watched it glow luminously as it glitches from time to time as if entrancing him.
With a dazed look he touched it and it glowed once again brighter than day could become and shrink into a ping pong ball sized orb floating on his palm.
"An artifact."
But why did it chose him? Soon, he will know the answer.
| the beginning where it all ended, The purity's downfall and her massacre
The Goddess of glory and purity prayed for the Superior God to blessed the world she created for the chaos is about to come.
A war between races is coming and no King nor Queen could stop it, not even herself so she can only pray for the best and send a message to the world.
"Upon his descent, the child of chaos will follow. The world shall be foreign to the word 'peace' yet familiar with 'mayhem', the time will reversed as he walk this land; in the midst of blood you will see the sky, they shall be your blanket of comfort- For no one can save you but his cursed lover.
A life for a life, it is to collect the diamond of time.
A chaos in the midst of peace, shall his name be uttered it is the end
A sin disguised as the heroine, corruption is within
Every living gods will experience the sins of its followers, the powerful becomes powerless against his tyranny
A false god, a sinner, worse than a demon, pretending and deception is what he will be known for
My final blessing, save the damned and pull them from Hades's clutches for the purest light will dawn upon you when he arrives."
With the prophecy delivered, followed by a loud screeching in the silent space, the stars dimmed, the life around withering as they mourn for the pillar of this world, the goddess of glory has died.
In another realm, back into the past, 200 years ago.
The burning churches could be seen in a large mirror, reflecting the people screaming in agony until their last breath as they can only utter her name, to save them.
yet she, the goddess is already dead.
The huge blazing hell of fire engulfed everything in its surroundings, bringing down the churches and vegetation under its roaring flames.
And a gray mist swallowing every last death in the once lively town, as they lovingly called the name of their Goddess with their last breath.
On a cliff, just above the burning town, a man shrouded with darkness and mystery looked down in contempt before looking to the night sky with a maniac look in his eyes,
"See this? This is what happens when you decided to take him away from me! Why can't gods love a human!? Why do I have to show mercy on them! I will wipe out your creations along with you!!!"
He expressed his sorrow and tears with words. His beloved was killed and had to go through multiple reincarnations; all he wanted was to be with his beloved, why can't he do that?
His mother said that his love cannot be split and should only belong to humans or the balance will break but he do not care as long as the sanity of his life keep him sane.
But it was also taken away.
The male stood there looking up, holding the four artifacts he managed to steal from the church, unaware of the last gleaming orb in the corner─ the goddess's own heart, Puccha, weeping as he took all her brothers away,
Yet she did what the Goddess told her to─to call the spirit of the cursed demigod,
"Oh dear spirit of purity, may you descend here safely and save us from the slaughter and the upcoming broken future; your multiple names shall only belong to one, Tyrespiel Lor Crosseart."
She continued to pray as the luminous glow of fireflies accompany her lone presence, not noticing the sinister figure of shadow in the far corner of the room, smiling eerily.
'So the master of heavens will soon descend back in time...'
And the figure soon vanished in the shadows.
"Lor."
His red eyes glowed reflecting the fire underneath him before he dissapears inside the gray mist. Promising no mercy to whoever stops him.
It is just the beginning of his ending and the ending of one's beginning.
END OF FLASHBACK
"The Goddess was long dead, her death caused the world to detoriate and only the world's purity is slowing it down. The chaos has come and awaken! He is onto a verdict of revenge, not one pure soul will escape the clutches of the shadows he controlls..."
The fox pleaded, she was desperate. Now that the original consciousness of Tyrespiel is here, he will know what to do and if he cannot, the world is going to do its last mission given by the goddess to aid him.
Tyrespiel remained silent as he struggle to believe the reality of his life anymore, he's afraid of what might happen; the bleak future cannot be foreseen and the corruption is already spreading..
"I am him? ", the artifact nod in response..
A life for life, the human he loves was the one who paid for the price.
And that is the tragic story of the Goddess's son, the son who was forbidden to love a human for his love cannot be split and shared.
As the human is his sanity, his beloved was excuted in front of him; a big mistake that the goddess made.
She thought taking away the male will bring his son's fate back to the human race but it only caused her suffering and soon the humans will too, at the hands of their own god.
