Transcending Realities: A Journey to Reclaim Home

Chapter 145: Uzumaki clan's hidden truth

The room went quiet for a moment after Naruto's words. A few of the Kages exchanged uneasy glances, while Tsunade's eyes flickered toward him, slightly surprised by the intensity of his statement. Mei, sitting beside him, raised an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious.

"That's quite the statement, Naruto," Mei said, her voice light but with a hint of curiosity. "You'd deal with all corrupt Daimyos, huh? What exactly do you mean by that?"

Naruto leaned forward in his chair, his tone becoming more serious. "The Daimyos may control the wealth, but that doesn't mean they should have the power to destroy lives or manipulate everything for their own gain. They sit back in their palaces, making decisions that affect everyone, without ever stepping into the battlefield or understanding the consequences of their actions. If I had the chance, I would put an end to that power imbalance. Let the people decide who leads, not some pompous fool with money."

Onoki's eyes narrowed, clearly not a fan of Naruto's viewpoint. "And what, you think the villages should just be run by people like you? A kid with a few flashy techniques? That's not how the world works, boy."

Naruto's expression hardened, his eyes never leaving Onoki. "That's the problem, isn't it, Onoki? You've been sitting on your throne for so long you've forgotten how to listen to the people who really matter. If a leader isn't doing right by their people, then they shouldn't be in power. Simple as that."

Rasa, who had been silent for a moment, leaned forward, a slight grin on his face. "He's got a point, though. The people should have a voice. I've seen enough of what happens when corrupt leadership goes unchecked. Not saying I'd take the same approach, but if you're right about the corruption, it's a problem that needs addressing."

Tsunade, still observing Naruto, finally spoke up. "Naruto's right. The system is flawed. But we can't just throw it all away without a plan. We need to find a way to make it work without resorting to violence or chaos."

Naruto nodded, his tone softening slightly. "I agree. We don't need to start a revolution, but there has to be a way to make sure those in power are held accountable. The people need to know they have a say in their future."

The tension in the room eased a little as the Kages seemed to reflect on his words. It was clear that Naruto, despite his youthful appearance, had an idealistic but strong vision for a world where power was used responsibly.

"Well, we can discuss this more later," Mifune said, trying to keep things moving. "But for now, let's focus on the matters at hand."

Naruto leaned back in his chair again, a small smirk on his face. "Of course. I'll be quiet now, but I'll be watching how you all handle this."

The room fell into a tense silence as the summit continued, but Naruto's words had left an undeniable impression on everyone present. The balance of power in the shinobi world was delicate, and perhaps, just maybe, there was room for change.

"Then, with this matter almost settled, I have something important that needs to be discussed," Naruto said, his tone shifting to a more serious note.

Tsunade, Shizune, and even Rasa and his children grew uneasy, sensing the change in Naruto's demeanor.

"What matter, brat?" A asked, narrowing his eyes.

Naruto's gaze hardened as he ran a hand through his crimson hair. "I think you all can see my hair is red. Do you know what that means?" he asked, his words hanging in the air with tension.

"I think most of you don't know the significance of my hair, and my name also hints at it," Naruto continued, his eyes scanning the room. "I believe Onoki knows, as he's lived for many decades."

Everyone turned their gaze toward Onoki, awaiting his response.

"Ah, your hair and your name, huh?" Onoki said, his voice tinged with realization. "It means you're an Uzumaki."

Naruto's expression grew more serious as he asked, "You know what happened to them, right?"

Onoki's eyes narrowed as he processed Naruto's words. The room fell silent, all eyes on the two of them. It was clear that Onoki understood the gravity of the conversation.

"Yes, I know what happened to the Uzumaki clan," Onoki replied slowly, his voice tinged with a hint of regret. "The clan was wiped out. The Uzumaki were powerful, especially in their sealing techniques, and their connection to the ancient powers was undeniable. But that was seen as a threat to many, especially the other great nations. They feared the power the Uzumaki held, and so they destroyed them."

"Then, where is my compensation?" Naruto declared firmly. "Without this matter being dealt with, there will be no peace talks."

The room went silent as Naruto's declaration echoed through the chamber. Every Kage, even the usually unshakable Raikage, looked at him with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. It was a bold move, especially considering the gravity of the summit. But Naruto, with his usual unrelenting confidence, wasn't about to back down.

"Compensation?" A repeated, raising an eyebrow. "For what, exactly?"

Naruto leaned back in his chair, his posture casual but his eyes sharp. "For all the pain my people, my clan, and I have suffered because of the actions of your villages. For the destruction of the Uzumaki clan. For the years of isolation, betrayal, and war. I've carried the weight of this world on my shoulders for far too long. Now, I'm asking for something in return."

The other Kages shifted in their seats, clearly uncomfortable. Onoki, the oldest among them, was the first to speak up, his voice filled with a mix of skepticism and annoyance.

"You expect us to pay for the sins of the past, Naruto?" Onoki said, his tone cold. "The destruction of your clan is tragic, but we all have our burdens to bear. What do you want from us?"

"Burden?" Naruto's voice grew colder. "Can I ask you what kind of burden you're bearing? The death of your own villagers? That's your greed that led to their deaths. And tell me, did you have the guts to destroy the Uzumaki when Hashirama was alive?"

The atmosphere in the room became heavy as Naruto's words cut through the air. His voice, though calm, carried the weight of years of pain, frustration, and determination. Every Kage, except for Tsunade and Mei, felt the sting of his accusation.

Onoki, who had been growing increasingly agitated, stiffened in his seat. The room fell into a tense silence as the Kages processed what Naruto had just said. The older Kage, especially, seemed taken aback by Naruto's sudden attack. Onoki's eyes narrowed as he looked at the young Hokage, who sat there with unwavering resolve.

"You dare accuse me of greed?" Onoki's voice trembled with barely restrained fury. "You don't understand, boy! My people have suffered as well! The Iwagakure village has faced its own tragedies—wars, betrayals, and bloodshed! The burden I carry is the weight of the lives lost for the sake of my village's survival!"

Naruto leaned forward, his voice cutting through Onoki's anger like a blade. "Survival? Is that what you call it? It was your greed, your desire for power and control that led to the downfall of my clan! You couldn't even stand up to Hashirama when he was alive, could you?"

"And my clan wasn't destroyed by just a single village," Naruto said, his voice growing sharper with anger. "All five villages grouped together and massacred my clan in a single night."

He then turned towards Tsunade, his expression softening slightly. "Tsuna, I know you don't know about it. Even Mom doesn't. But your grandmother, Mito, knew... and didn't do anything," Naruto said, his words heavy with both sorrow and accusation.

The room froze, a heavy silence hanging in the air as Naruto's words pierced through the tension. Tsunade's eyes widened, and for a brief moment, her breath caught in her throat. The revelation hit her like a thunderclap.

"Naruto… what… what are you talking about?" Tsunade's voice trembled, a mixture of confusion and disbelief clouding her face.

Naruto's gaze softened for a moment, but the pain in his eyes was undeniable. "The Uzumaki clan wasn't destroyed by just one village or one group. No, all five villages—your village included—came together in a coordinated massacre. They attacked us all at once, wiping out our people in a single night, without mercy. It wasn't a mistake or an accident; it was planned."

Tsunade's hand trembled as she reached up to clutch her forehead, her mind struggling to process the truth. Her heart ached for Naruto, but the shock of the revelation was too much.

"How… how could this happen?" Tsunade whispered, her voice barely audible.
