Transcending Realities: A Journey to Reclaim Home

Chapter 128: Yugakure

After days of walking, we finally arrived in the Land of Hot Water. The village, nestled amid lush greenery and surrounded by wisps of steam rising from the natural hot springs, had a serene and welcoming atmosphere.

As soon as we entered, the village head himself came to greet us, his warm smile reflecting the famous hospitality of the region. "Welcome, esteemed travelers! It's an honor to have you here. Please, come inside and rest."

We were led into a beautifully crafted hall adorned with traditional decor, the scent of fresh herbs wafting through the air. The villagers' kindness was immediately evident as attendants brought refreshments and offered to prepare accommodations for us.

The level of hospitality was astonishing. Every detail, from the way they addressed us to the care they put into ensuring our comfort, spoke volumes about their culture. Tsunade seemed particularly at ease, her expression softening as she took in the relaxing surroundings. Shizune, too, looked relieved to finally rest after the long journey.

I couldn't help but think that our stay here might stretch longer than planned, especially with how much Tsuna enjoyed places like this.

"Shizune, I didn't know there was a village with such incredible hospitality," I said, still marveling at the warm welcome we had received.

Shizune nodded with a soft smile. "Yeah, the village head is known for greeting everyone like that. Their hospitality is unmatched, and coupled with their famous hot springs, it's what makes this village so special."

I glanced around, taking in the tranquil surroundings and the genuine warmth of the people. "I can see why. It's like they've perfected the art of making people feel at home."

Shizune chuckled lightly. "Exactly. It's part of their tradition, and they take great pride in it. I think you'll find that their hot springs are just as impressive as their hospitality."

I could already feel the subtle hints of excitement building—not just for the springs, but for the peaceful atmosphere this village promised. It felt like a perfect stop to rejuvenate before resuming our journey.

Soon, we reached the room where we decided to stay for a few days. The accommodations were nothing short of luxurious, with soft futons, traditional decor, and a view overlooking the serene hot springs.

"Tsuna, I can see you're already enjoying yourself," I said with a chuckle, noticing her relaxed demeanor as she took in the atmosphere.

She smirked, settling into a comfortable seat near the window. "Of course. A place like this is perfect for unwinding. Don't tell me you're not feeling it too."

I laughed lightly. "I won't deny it. This village has a way of making you forget about everything else."

Shizune placed our bags to the side and chimed in, "It's nice to see Tsunade-sama like this. She's been tense for days."

Tsuna raised an eyebrow at Shizune's comment but didn't deny it. Instead, she stretched her arms and sighed contentedly. "Well, we're here now, so let's make the most of it."

I nodded, thinking to myself that this brief respite was just what we all needed before the serious business at the summit.

"Let's head toward the hot springs," I said with a grin, pointing at Tsuna. "I can see she can't contain herself any longer."

Tsuna shot me a mock glare but didn't bother to deny it. "Fine, I won't argue. The hot springs here are famous, and it would be a shame not to experience them."

Shizune chuckled softly. "It's true. You've been talking about the hot springs ever since we entered the Land of Hot Water."

Tsuna huffed, pretending to ignore us as she grabbed her belongings. "Well, are we going or not? I don't have all day to listen to your jokes."

I laughed and stood up. "All right, all right, lead the way, Tsuna. Let's see if these springs live up to their reputation."

Shizune and I followed Tsuna as she briskly made her way out, her excitement evident despite her attempts to play it cool. The idea of soaking in the famed hot springs was starting to feel like the perfect way to relax after our journey.

Soon, we reached the hot springs, the air thick with steam and the gentle sound of flowing water creating a soothing ambiance. The warmth from the springs was palpable even from a distance, and I couldn't help but feel a bit more relaxed already.

"I thought we could all share the same spring," I began, glancing at Tsuna and Shizune, "but I guess that's not happening."

Tsuna smirked as she pointed to a nearby sign. "Not a chance. Men and women have separate sections here. Guess you're on your own, kid."

Shizune giggled softly. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll survive without us."

I sighed dramatically, throwing my hands up in mock defeat. "Fine, fine. Enjoy your exclusive time. I'll make do on my side."

As they headed toward the women's section, I made my way to the men's spring. Even though I wasn't sharing the experience with them, the idea of soaking in the famed hot water after days of travel was too tempting to resist.

As I stepped into the bath, the sight before me made me pause in disbelief. Sitting there, as if fate had arranged this meeting, were three familiar faces. The team from Suna.

Gaara, the ever-stoic redhead, noticed me first. His calm gaze met mine, and a hint of curiosity flickered in his eyes.

"Gaara," I said, regaining my composure. "I'm guessing Temari's on the women's side?"

He nodded. "She is. And how have you been, Naruto?"

I shrugged as I sat down to wash my body before entering the spring. "I've been good. I'll probably catch up with her after this. But I'm guessing you guys have something you want to ask me, don't you?"

Rasa, the Kazekage himself, spoke up, his tone serious as he leaned forward slightly. "Naruto, were you really involved in the daimyo incident?"

I met his gaze, a smirk tugging at the corner of my lips. "Guess," I said teasingly.

Rasa's eyes narrowed, his voice firm. "Naruto, this isn't the time for jokes. Speak seriously."

Sensing the weight of the conversation, I straightened up. "Fine," I said, my tone becoming resolute. "Yes, I was involved. And not just that—I've also decided to make a stir at the summit."

My declaration hung in the air, the steam swirling around us, as the Suna trio exchanged glances. It was clear my words had sparked a mixture of intrigue and concern.

"Are you trying to declare war on the other villages?" Rasa asked, his tone sharp and probing.

"Depends," I replied nonchalantly, leaning back as the warm water began to relax my muscles.

"Depends on what?" he pressed, his eyes narrowing as he studied me carefully.

"Depends on them," I said, meeting his gaze without flinching. "If they come to the summit with good intentions, then it'll end peacefully. But if not..." I trailed off deliberately, the weight of my unspoken words hanging in the air.

"You don't know the consequences either, do you?" he concluded, his expression shifting from stern to contemplative.

"Exactly," I admitted. "But I do know one thing—if they underestimate Konoha or try to exploit us, they'll regret it."

Rasa nodded slowly, the tension in the air palpable. Gaara and Kankuro remained silent, though their expressions hinted at curiosity and unease. It was clear that the upcoming summit would test alliances and intentions like never before.
