Chapter 22: The Storm (22)
After naming the abilty and the cell, matt would exit the Megahive and then scrolled through the crowdfunding section once again, he didnt find anything of value this time and just shut off his holocom.
Rubbing his eyes he would sigh, he lamented if what he was trying to do was right, yes George did steal his story and yes he did also steal his figures...
"On second thought i dont think George deserves any pity, im willing to bet he is enjoying the dough he is raking in right now with MY LOREWORLD!!"
Matt slammed his hand against his desk and reignited his anger and rage, he turned to see the diorama that arrived earlier than the troopers.
"With such a detailed base, i believe i can use it as a hidden HQ for the troopers somewhere near the main warzone"
He turns his holocom on again and then navigated to the [Lore Hub].
The [Lore Hub] is where the stories, movies and series, created by the Loremakers are released and offered to the public to view, the regular people enjoy them as entertainment products while the Combattlers and Toymakers use them as either inspiration or to gather information on their competitors.
Matt searched for INTERGALACTIC and easily found it as it was one of the top sci-fi shows available, he tapped it and a long list of episodes unfolded, even though it hasnt been long since the lore world was made, it already had more than 40 episodes.
"Still as lazy as i remember George, a proper Loremaker wouldnt have this many episodes in a span of just 2 weeks or so, unless youre oh so talented which i am sure you are not"
He tapped a random episode and it showed the rebels planning a way to fight back against the current enemy empire, it was the smallest empire but it was still an empire, the direction of the scene flowed naturally as if it wasnt written and in fact it wasnt, if a Loremaker were to intervene then it wouldve turned into better scene.
Instead what was shown was just the rebels fighting with each other trying to have their plan be passed and all of them were horrible, one rebel wanted to storm the front which was the current enemies strong point and another wanted a night assault when they didnt have equipment to perform one, and another one feeling like a genius offered a plan for an underwater assault when the empire theyre fighting is based in a desert planet.
"This is what happens when you dont intervene, a story that writes itself thats filled with stupidity, a new born lore world needs a guide and thats what Loremakers make in a way, we make stories that set the microverses rules and guidelines, the microverse then returns to us good and intelligent stories as well as strength to use in reality"
Matt watched and watched the newer episodes he hadnt seen, he didnt feel satisfied at all and was just fueling his rage, George had butchered his story that he planned to flesh out for the rest of his life.
"Fear not, ill retrieve this Loreworld and do a reboot once i beat him"
★
Meanwhile George Estate.
"Steve hows the reaction to the latest episode releases these days?"
"Sir am i allowed to speak freely?"
"Go on, ill give you five minutes"
"Sir you should use your Loremaker capabilities and genius to write the plot of the main verse sir, the people are turning INTERGALACTIC into some sort of comedy sir, for example this anonymous user commented; "What the fuck! They stormed the front gates of the Mineus Empire at freaking night?! How stupid can these guys be? If this isnt bad comedy then i dont know what is" followed by tearing laugh emojis"
Georges face reddened from hearing the comment but didnt speak and just looked at the stopwatch he started which still had 3 minutes.
"Go on, continue"
"Another comment that pokes fun of the series states; "If i was the brains behind this operation i would rip my balls off and throw them into space, luckily im not, so my future generations are safe from this stupidity, its a great comedy though, 10/5 would watch for laughs" followed by more laughing emojis"
"1 minute more"
"Thats all im gonna say sir"
"Okay then Martinez, i want you to find the address of these commenters right now"
"Im sorry sir i cant"
"And why?"
"Theyre protected by the Megahives security system since they commented anonymously, the Megahive has an unbreakable firewall that prevents information theft, hacking, and even info leakage"
"Cant we just pay whoevers running the Megahive?"
"Here is the thing sir, the government openly admits they control the Megahive but they also drew a line on how much they control, they stated they can only ask for limited favors from the Megahives controller and that it is being saved for when it is needed the most"
"Fucking bastards!! They just want to monopolise the Megahives true capabilities!!"
George punched a metal wall and caved it in slightly, he calmed down after doing so and let out a breath, he gazed at the caved wall and then slid his hand against it, like magic the wall returned to its flat surface.
"Toymakers and Loremakers can bend reality a bit as they grow stronger, this little act cost me more than half of my strength already, i need to find another fool to steal a story from"
He whispered silently befote turning back to face Stewart.
"Alright then Suzuki, just keep releasing the episodes i send you and keep monitoring the development of the Loreworld and Matts progress as well, has he moved yet?"
"As for that sir it is best to assume that he has either bought a branch of the Loreworld or given up on it completely"
"If only the latter would happen"
"If i may ask sir, why are we keeping an eye on him again?"
"Im gonna answer you the same thing i reply with everytime you ask, thats none of your business"
