'Nothing, there is nothing'

Looking behind me, the door that led me here is gone and the only thing here was me and the darkness. It's strange but i don't feel afraid of the darkness instead am drawn to this

I can hear it call out to me, asking me to accept it. If it was before i would have hesitated to do so but with death right around the corner i have nothing to lose. The darkness reacted to my thoughts and surged toward me.

There was no discomfort as i felt my body change from within.

'In the darkness there is no one but yet it feels alive somehow.'

My thoughts were cut short as felt my consciousness return. Opening my eyes, i could see i have fallen to the ground. Picking myself up, my head was still hurting but i noticed something weird.

The mana in the surrounding was being drawn to me. Such a thing happens when one's mana control has reached Tier 1.

'But that should be impossible i have just opened my core, i have yet to practice any Tier 1 spells'

The last step to become a Tier 1 mage is to form a ring of mana around the core and can only be achieved with tier 1 mana control. This is gained by practising simple tier 1 spell which i have never done

Mana continued to gather at me. I put my thoughts aside cause formation of the mana ring is said to be dangerous if the mana around my core is not stabilised then i could become crippled or worse case blow up.

I immediately sat in a lotus position and concentrated on the mana around the my core.I started to shape the mana around my core into a ring.

'It's much easier than they say its......no mana control is not something i was good at before so the only answer is the weird place with darkness.

A perfectly shaped ring surrounded formed around my core and yet the amount of mana gathering did not stop instead it was increasing 

It started to form an orb on the ring

'Shit this shouldn't be happening'

After a ring is formed in order to advance a mage must gather mana to form orbs/nodes on the ring around the core. Forming a node is similar to the ring but less dangerous.

'It being less dangerous doesn't mean no danger. Failing to form a node can damage the core that's why it is important for mage to have excellent mana control after all every steps can be the last'

Finally the mana forming the node stabilised but it seems the world had it out for me today the second node began to form,then another and the lastly the fourth node stabilised

Sweat was pouring down my body. Unlike the first node, the fourth node took all my concentration to form. The four nodes begun to revolve around the ring then i felt my mind open up and widen.

The mage path unlike the aura path strengthens the mind instead of the body.

My mind kept growing. The feeling is so intoxicating now i understand why people want to keep practising tirelessly, the feeling engraves itself into one's mind.

But then i remembered what is going to happen tomorrow

"sigh"

"All this just to die tomorrow"

I stood and went to see myself in the mirror then my eyes widen almost bursting out my face. Looking around i thought maybe there is someone in the room, I looked back in the mirror confirming it was indeed me there.

Nothing seems to have changed on me except for the dark eyes and red pupils. It seems tomorrow they won't even need the soul luminous crystal to know i performed dark magic

'Am dead there is no doubt about it'

"I can't escape with a 2 Tier 4 beings around, i need to find a solution soon"

Just as i was finding ways to flee i felt something enter into my core or to be exact return to my core because it felt familiar. My eyes begun to return to the same colour. i don't what happened but am glad

'Maybe i still have a chance'

Norman"Master an aura manipulator is a person who develops the body using internal energy known as aura"

"So you think am one of those guys"

Norman"There is know other way to explain the why your body has so much strength"

"Oh yeah Norman since this is your body doesn't that mean you were a tier 2 warrior"

Norman"No master i had only started to open the gates in the body meaning i was in the beginning of tier 1"

".....Gates ...."

Norman"Within the body there are 120 gates, one becomes a tier 1 after opening the 1st gate and advance after opening the 50th gate"

"I thought you have just said there are 120 gate how can one advance after opening only 50"

Norman"Opening gates is not as easy as master may think most people spend their youth without even reaching the 50th gate, and it gets hard with each gate especially after the 50th."

"I see but i now that you say it i remember my body breaking away from the chains around my body"

Norman"Yes that's it master, the gates are what prevent the body from releasing it potential.I heard past the 50th gate there is no increase in strenght but instead an increase in body control"

"My body does feel very free and flexible"

Norman"I wonder how many gates did master open"

"Am not sure myself i just felt like they all opened"

Norman"......."

"......."

Norman"Are you sure master"

"Is that not normal"

Norman"What the hell normal about that, i just said people can't even reach the 50th gate, how the hell is opening them all even normal and in less than 20 minutes at that"

"I might be genius for all we know"

Norman"I see master has no shame now i know why even death could not take you"

"My Genius senses are detecting a jealousy in the air"
